26 Chapter 21: Return Her

Alex narrowed her eyes when he felt the Elder Cat God looking at his daughter.

'This woman is using Magic, and since she's a Sephirah its safe to think that she can use something similar to Stardust Energy; the densest energy in the world.'

Alex asked Judecca through telepathy, 'Judecca, is it possible to fight her without putting the innocents in danger?'

{Negative Master, the same as the Landlady, the world will be in danger if the two of you fought. But if master has to kill her, master can do it in one Ultimate Attack}

'No way! I don't want the other Sephirah hunting me down!' Alex quickly denied it, 'Though I'm sure she wouldn't harm Alice...I think, they are both Sephirah after all....But I still need to be cautious.'

It was a good thing that the Elder Cat God only observed Alice for a moment before she continue walking.

Alex even saw the ripoff Lancelot walking behind her. 'Is he her personal knight? Interesting, will this turn out to be the same as the legend? Will Nyansalot also have an affair with the Queen?'

Alex couldn't help but let out an amused snort. 'Since she's a Sephira, she's probably millions of years old, is there even a need to celebrate her birthday? Besides, she's Immortal.'

The Elder Cat God stood in front of her throne as she gave her speech. Alex wasn't a little bit interested in hearing as he was busy planning on countermeasures in case this cat decided to lay her "paws" on his daughter.

After all, aside from the Landlady—who was pretty much neutral about things as her power is immeasurable, enough to even force a self-proclaimed God to retreat, and her niece—he doesn't have much knowledge about the other Sephirah on Earth.

What if consuming other Sephirah makes another Sephirah stronger? And this cat wanted to consume his daughter?

He'd be ready for war if that really happen.

"You don't seem interested?"

Alex tilted his head to the side as he gaze at Yoruichi who was smiling at him, "That's because I'm not. I'm pretty sure she also used this speech last year yeah?"

That caused Yoruichi to giggle as she lightly punched his shoulders, "Don't be like that. The Elder Cat God is still a Transcendental you know, and one of the stronger ones at that. Even the Gotei 13 puts her in the Top 10 strongest Beings in Japan."

'Transcendental?' Alex snorted, 'If she's only a Transcendental then I wouldn't even worry right now.'

"What's with that disdainful face?" Yoruichi smirked, "Are you looking down on a Transcendental?"

"Yoru-neecha, I wan dat cake!" Alice pulled Yoruichi's sleeves to gain her attention while pointing at the five-layered cake.

"Hm? Oh that? Later Alice, the Elder Cat God is still giving her speech."

"Ooh? Okay?"

"And Yaya, wipe your drool, its disrespectful!" Yoruichi sighed, she just doesn't have time to relax doesn't she?

Even back in Gotei 13 she has to take care of her cute little lieutenant Soi Fon, as she is still young. (AN; The lieutenant of 2nd Squad seems pretty useless to me, so I removed him)

Sometimes she feels like a mother.

(AN; Sorry for another note, I just wanted to clarify this for some people. If you find Yoru's personality a bit different, that's becuse here she was still the Heiress of a Noble Clan, and was educated about proper etiquette since young)

"Oh by the way Alex, how is Nonko?" Yoruichi asked.

"Nonko huh?" Alex raised an eyebrow, wondering what's the relationship between the two, "Well, she's always drunk, her career as a mangaka seems to be doing good, she's also pretty lazy and like to come to my "room" from time to time to relax."

Yoruichi almost choke hearing that last part. She did not expect that her childhood friend and rival has that kind of relationship with this man, not only that, the man has a daughter!

"I-I see..." Yoruichi blinked as she gave a smile, "How about Alice's mother? Where is she?"

"Hmm, yeah we'll meet her in five days. Alice has been quite eager to see her mama."

"Mn?" Alice looked at her father when she heard the word "mama" as Alex just smiled and caressed her head.

"I see, so does Nonko knows about it? Alice's mother I mean." She asked, giving Alex a playful grin.

"Hm? That I'm visiting Alice's mother? No. I mean, why would I tell her that? This is a personal matter."

"Oh my~ So you're keeping it a secret? You beast." Yoruichi seems disappointed as Alex did not give the reaction she wanted.

Alex just stared at her, thinking that their conversation sounds a bit weird. He started to recall their conversation and came to a realization.

He immediately corrected her, he doesn't want to start a cliché rom-com setting at all, "By the way, just to be clear, Nonko and I don't have that kind of relationship."

Yoruichi grinned, "Uh-huh, Uh-huh, don't worry, your secret is safe with me. I get it, I get it, many man in Supernatural side are like you, so I get you, don't worry."

Alex just gave her a flat stare, "No, you don't get it all. I'm not interested in relationship for a moment, so don't misunderstand."

"I told you, I get it."

"No, you totally don't."

Yoruichi just grinned and ignored him. Of course she knew that its just a misunderstanding on her part. She may not look like it, but Nonko is quite the romantic woman.

She wouldn't go for a married man, or just any man for that matter. Nonko and her sometimes go out for a drink and Nonko would complain about her relationship ending in just a week because men couldn't stop staring at her breast. (AN; This is mentioned in the canon as well)

Then after her last break up, she stopped going out with men and just vent her frustration into drawing manga.

"—once again, I Shagotte, thank everyone for coming today."

Alex immediately shut up hearing that. After the speech comes the Meet, Greet, and Eat right? There should be dancing as well.

'Though...' Alex looked around and only saw a couple of Bakeneko(Cat Monster) humans with cat's parts, and most are humanoid cats wearing suits and dresses, and a lot of them were only a meter tall.

"Hurry~! Yoru-neecha! Cake! Cake!"

Sighing, Yoruichi obeyed the little girl with a wry smile, "Hai~ Hai~, calm down a little, we won't run out of it so calm down."

Yaya was already holding a large plate filled with fish dishes, she was munching a roasted salmon as she stood beside Alex.

Feeling Alex's gaze, Yaya faced Alex for a few seconds before handing him a plate, "Alexander try one too. Delicious."

Alex politely declined, "No need, I think Yaya should finish it, you did picked them yourself."

"Alexander..." Yaya was staring at Alex as if she was looking at a hero, before she nodded, "Hm, Alexander is a good guy."

Alex smiled and ruffled her hair before he went towards Yoruichi and Alice who are picking their food.

However, he paused when Shagotte arrived beside Yoruichi and greeted her. By Yoruichi's expression, the two of them seems to get along.

"Yoru-chan, where did you get this...fragment of Yesod?"

"Huh? Ye-what? This is Alice."

Alex's eyes immediately turned cold but he suppressed it as he walked towards Yoruichi and took Alice from her arms while giving the Sephirah in disguise a cold look.

"She's my daughter."

Shagotte stared at Alex, completely unaffected by his cold look as she just shook her head, "Impossible. Wherever you picked up that child, I suggest you return her, you don't know her origin at all."

Alex grinned, "Didn't you hear me? She's my daughter, return her? Return her to where? Please don't mistake my daughter to someone else."

Shagotte narrowed her eyes, and the hall immediately turned silent as the temperature seems to rise by several degrees. "You don't know anything at all. Without her, the world where she came from might endangered. She is needed for the balance. Return her."

Alex also narrowed his eyes, holding on to his daughter tightly, "Heh, the only place where she'll return is our home, not anywhere."

Shagotte's glare turned fiercer, before she look at Alice, "Yesod, leave this guy. I will return you from where you came from."

Alice cutely glared at her, "No! Tiferet you meanie! I'll stay with papa! Forever and ever!"

Alex grinned, "And there you have it. She will stay with me."

Though, Alex was still wary of her. Tiferet or Beauty, the Sixth Sephirah, it corresponds to the number six, it governs over Hearth and Home, its jewel is Topaz and its color is gold, and it governs the Sun. With Raphael as its guardian angel.

Though, on Earth's case, there are no guardian angel at all, because the Sephira are so strong they don't need one.

No, more like the guardian angel is actually just there to not let the Sephira escape—its same case as in Ente Isla.

Where the self-proclaim god was stealing the energy of the Sephirah to rid them off of their power. But in Earth, the Sephirah has grown so strong they could practically be called a True Gods.

Shagotte narrowed her eyes. As a Sephira, she knew how dangerous it is for them to leave their world for a long time, so she need to return this fragment of Yesod back to her orginal world before that world will be in danger.

She reached out her "paws" to take the child, but a hand grabbed her wrist.

Alex glared at the cat, and with his demonic voice that caused everyone in the hall to tremble, he asked..

"Oi, Oi, What do you think you are doing trying to touch my daughter huh?"
