29 Aftermath: End of Volume

AN: Hmm, as expected many reacted rather negatively about the previous chap, I even saw comment saying the MC is like generic Japanese Beta MC? Like WTF? Since when did sparing your enemy makes you a beta? Besides, the MC wasn't even planning on killing her in the first place, if you want an MC like that go read HolyJoker's fanfic, and not this! Seriously!

But anyway, there are also those who are okay with the outcome so I guess thanks for liking it. This chapter, as the title suggests, marks the end of the First Volume, not counting the prologue, and I say thanks for supporting me, and hope you all will be with me for the next volume as well.

Anyway, here's the chap.

—————————

The birthday party has ended quite early since the Elder Cat God was nowhere to be found, it was a good thing that she informed the Exceeds and the Knights first or else they would've tried to capture Alex.

Alex has no idea about what kind of punishment Miki-T is going to give Shagotte, but base on the Hallow-like eyes she has when Miki-T mentioned about punishment, it can't be good.

Especially when Miki-T was really making a serious face and released her aura, even Alex has to admit she was a bit scary.

It seems like there's actually a rule for the Sephirah to not interfere with other world's problem unless their own world will be affected, and Shagotte just broke that rule.

Well, Alex really wasn't interested in any of that. Though he now also understand why even though the angels just keeps popping out in Earth in the Canon the Sephirah did not make any move.

Because the conflict is not related to them. Though Alex was sure that if Maou did not go around fixing the damage caused by their fights then the Sephirah will surely act.

And it was also the reason why the landlady's niece beat up Camio—the Advisor of Satan, when they went to Earth, because they disrupted the souls living on the Beach.

And currently, Alex was just busy exploring the Nyatopia along with Alice and Yoruichi—it seems like Yoruichi is being considerate(?) of him by not asking what happened and acts like nothing happened.

As for Yaya, well she passed out and didn't saw anything that much, so with a little bit of fishes here and there she did not ask questions and just forgot about it.

And currently, she was in a sushi stand eating to her stomach's content.

"So how long will you stay here?"

"Hmm? Until Alice is satisfied I guess."

The two of them are currently eating some roasted fish while sitting on a bench, with Alice between them.

Alex was actually thinking whether letting that cat go was good thing, but his reasoning gave him a slap on the face, reminding him that—that cat, is the Governor of Hearth, Home and Sun.

If something happened to her, what will happen to those three aspects? Will the sun suddenly lose its light? Will every Family break apart? Will the Earth freeze because there is no Hearth that gave them warmth?

Alex doesn't know, and he doesn't want to find out. If it was someone else, he might not be able to control himself, but he just can't casually deal with a Sephirah, because they govern the Aspects of the World.

Just like in Yuragi-sou manga, where Yuuna was kidnapped by the Dragon God who governs over the weather, where Chitose did not go and help saving her because of her ability.

If the Dragon God were to encounter a misfortune, the entire Tokyo, or maybe even Japan will face the Wrath of the Weather.

So even if he wasn't satisfied, he needs to bury those feelings in her heart, but he will never forget this. He is someone who bears a grudge after all.

But if he really wanted to deal with that cat he can, he just need time to prepare. He and Judecca can apply a worldwide concept of Hearth and Family in case something happened to it. With his limitless magic it isn't that hard.

As for the sun, Alex can just make one himself.

"I see..." Yoruchi sighed and just looked at the sky, her thoughts wandering about the incident earlier.

Is that even a strength a Transcendental can have? Even the Captain Commander of Gotei 13 doesn't have that much power.

"Are you thinking about what happened earlier?" Alex asked as he wiped the corners of Alice's mouth.

Yoruichi turned towards him and nodded, "I guess. That level of power is really incredible. Even in the Shelter we can still feel the effects of your battle."

"Are you not going to ask anything?"

Yoruichi giggled, "Nah, Shagotte already said earlier right? Its not something a normal person like me should know. And if I ask, I'm sure you wouldn't answer, or even lie."

Alex smiled and nodded, "Indeed, I wouldn't answer. If you really want answers just looked it up on your own, I heard the 2nd Squad are experts in espionage, information gathering and assassination."

Yoruichi's eyes widened before she smiled and shook her head, "So you know about me from the start? No wonder when we first met earlier you are looking at me like know me."

"....I guess."

Truth is, he just guessed that. After all, this Yoruichi doesn't have a long hair like the one in the anime, but a short one when she was still in Gotei 13, so Alex just thought that she's still in the group.

"Hey, aren't you getting tired of all those eyes watching you?" She asked.

Alex looked at a certain direction and just shook his head, "Its normal for them to watch me, I did beat up their queen, and I'm also part of the reason why she disappeared."

"Eh? You know what happened to her?!"

"Yeah, I mean I was part of the reason...wait now that I think about its all her fault to begin with, she shouldn't have started it."

"Pfft! Hahaha! Just be glad none of the Catizens asides from those who attended the Party saw your face, or else they would've chased you out right now."

Alex smirked, as he observed the city with his Magic Sense, "Heh, you would thought that after that evacuation they would stop the festival, but they actually continued it."

"Well, they really do adore the Elder Cat God here, even if the buildings were destroyed they would still continue it."

Alice tugged her father's sleeves, gaining his attention. "Papa, I'm thirsty...mnn and tired."

Alex smiled and took out a mineral water from Judecca's storage space before opening it and giving it to his daughter.

"Well, looks like Alice is already tired. I'll be going first Yoruichi, can you inform Yaya about it?"

"Sure! See you around, I'll visit the Inn from time to time." Yoruichi grinned as she waved her hand.

Alex smiled and carried his daughter who was gulping down the water, "Let's go home Alice."

Alice stopped drinking as she gave her father a smile.

"Okay! Go home!"
