Jia felt an urge to punch him in the face.

First he cheats on his wife and then behaves rudely with his son too!

Dai Fengge collapsed on the floor and broke down. "Oh God…what did I do? If I had listened to Yun, then Mom wouldn't have…I could have saved her…Mom…How will I live with this guilt?" He held his head and mumbled to himself.

"Did you notice anything strange with your mother around 3.30 or so? Around the end?"

Jia eyed Huojin and he nodded. They really didn't get many answers, but there was nothing to be asked further either.

She said, "For now, you can leave. Until the case comes to a close, you and Miss. Yin cannot leave the city."

Dai Fengge blankly nodded. He got up with no strength left in his legs. But when he started walking, he suddenly tripped and fell on his face as Huojin passed by him.

"Ouch!!!"

"F-Fengge!" Xiaoling quickly bent to help him.

"Damn, I apologize Mr. Dai. I was in a hurry…" Huojin regretfully said.

The impact struck Dai Fengge on his nose, making his eyes water. "You…It hurts so bad! Please be careful next time! I could have broken my nose!"

"I am truly sorry," he pursed his lips. "Rest assured, Mr. Dai. We have a medic outside. He will tend to your injury."

"Which medic?"

"Yang Mingshen."

Green veins popped on his forehead. "Like hell I will let that man treat me! He has only humiliated me ever since we met!"

"But his assistant has already left. He is the only one who can help you. Your injury can become serious if left untreated. It will be wise if you let Yang Mingshen treat you."

Huojin grinned. "I know how to be careful."

"He is a cheater, and he scolded little Yun for no reason."

Huojin frowned. "Mingshen is right. Sometimes, you are no fun."

Outside the theater, Mingshen amusingly cocked his brow looking at the sorry state of Dai Fengge's nose. "Heyyyyy, did Spicy finally let her punches loose on you~?"

Yun widened his eyes, seeing his father's nose turned all red and swollen.

Dai Fengge gritted his teeth and was about to explode in anger when Jia cut the explosion off midway. "It was an accident. He needs help. Please tend to his injury."

"I refuse."

Dai Fengge was left speechless. "Excuse me? Are you refusing to treat me?"

"Do you hear loud?"

Yin Xiaoling was equally stunned. "You are a doctor! How can you refuse a patient?"

Mingshen's disdainful gaze made them shudder. "I am a doctor, but I am also Yang Mingshen. Yang Mingshen chooses who gets to be his patient, not the other way around."

Jia knew it was useless to convince Mingshen's mind to change his decision. So she said, "Huojin will take you to the hospital and assure you get your treatment."

Huojin looked at her with complaint.

Dai Fengge was speechless once again. "Instead of lashing out at this man, you are suggesting that I go to the hospital when a doctor is right here!?"

"I know how he is, that is exactly why I am not wasting my time with him."

"Spicy, I just love your sarcasm," he blushed.

Huojin cleared his throat though inwardly, he was cursing his luck to take Dai Fengge to the hospital. "Let's go, Mr. Dai. Yun, come with us."

Yun pursed his lips and looked at Mingshen and Ma Zhilan. His clear gaze reflected how he didn't want to leave their side, which only agitated Dai Fengge.

Ma Zhilan smiled. "It was nice meeting you, young man. I enjoyed playing with you."

"Me too, Grandma."

Mingshen sneered at Dai Fengge and held out his hand. "Cough out 375 Yuan first before you leave."

"Excuse me?"

"Did you forget? I lended my phone to Yun to talk to his mother. He spoke for twelve minutes and thirty seconds which according to 30 Yuan charges per minute totals up to 375 Yuan."

Dai Fengge almost stumbled. "What the hell…you were serious about it!?"

"I am always dead serious about money," he said, unfazed. "I don't care if you bleed to death from your nose injury but hand over my 375 Yuan first."

He trembled with anger surging within him, but his nose ached so bad that he didn't even have the liberty to shout anymore. He took out his wallet and slapped four 100 Yuan notes on his palm.

Mingshen promptly put the money into his own wallet, satisfied.

Dai Fengge now shed tears due to the pain as he exclaimed. "You said you aren't blind then did you not see that I gave you 400 Yuan? Give me my change!"

Jia pressed her temple.

What the hell is with this madness going on?

Mingshen gasped. "I thought the extra bucks was my reward for retaining my sanity even after breathing the same air as you and this woman."

At this point, Dai Fengge and Yin Xiaoling simply couldn't figure out how to talk to a person like Yang Mingshen, much less rebuke him.

He didn't have to complete the sentence to dig the last remaining shame out from Dai Fengge.

Huojin smiled. "Come with me, Mr. Dai. I will quickly take you to the hospital."
