12 Broken engagement

"Enter."

When Lucas heard a loud voice full of authority give him permission, he plastered an expression of reverence on his face before stepping into the throne room.

Upon seeing Lucas's submissive behavior King Anton's mood became instantly better.

He loved seeing people respect him and everyone knew it.

If you showed the slightest sign of disrespect towards him, he would be merciless because as a king, he felt that he was a being that stood high above others.

"I know why you came my son but I still feel reluctant to go back on my word and break the engagement."

It wasn't the first time prince Lucas had pleaded to him to break the engagement but King Anton felt that his words were gold and could not be taken back after being spoken.

"Father, I always respect every decision you make because you won't ever be wrong but I came to know some new information that was being kept from reaching your ears which might have blinded your godly eyes for a moment and I believe that after hearing it you will likely make a wise decision."

Every time Lucas spoke, his voice was filled with so much flattery that the King's ego would inflate. This was also why Lucas was his favorite son.

He knew exactly what to say to make his father feel powerful.

"Ooh, do tell. "

This was good, the King's curiosity was peaked.

"The Tang family was able to keep it under wraps until now but Miss Regina couldn't stand people misleading our royal blood even if it is her family so she told me the truth about Luna. The priest who made the prophesy was paid by Luna's previous maid to do so and she killed herself to protect that secret. So when Luna turned fifteen and was still a waste she panicked and eloped with the stable boy of the Tang family. That good-for-nothing totally disregarded your grace of letting her marry someone of your bloodline. So I plead to you father, to make an exception and cancel this engagement with that disgusting woman that made a laughing stock of your son."

Every word spoken by Lucas had caused the Kings face to turn a shade darker until in the end his face was as dark as a moonless night.

If Luna were to hear Lucas put such a big target on her back she would want to make him feel the pain of being stabbed a thousand times before feeling better.

"Humph, this shameless wench dares look down on me and mislead me. Don't worry my son, I see clearly now, such an easy woman is unworthy of you. I will look for someone who is deserving."

A gleeful flash swiftly went through Lucas's eyes.

Finally the object of ridicule in his life will be wiped away.

Being engaged to that waste was the biggest misfortune of his life so breaking the engagement had been one of his biggest wishes.

All of this was accomplished thanks to miss Regina.

With her gentle temperament and nicely formed body she was the complete opposite of that messy looking Luna.

Even in terms of cultivation Regina was a talent, she is just seventeen years old and already reached the peak of red rank 5.

Someone like her was a perfect fit for him.

"Father, dare I suggest someone?"

King Anton started to get tired of this topic so he wanted to get it over with quickly.

It was quite good for King Anton that the girl was from the Tang family, that way he didn't have to compensate them for breaking the engagement and he had heard only good things of the eldest lady of the Tang family so he had no objections.

"Alright, I'll agree and write a decree in the near future."

Hearing this Lucas was overcome with happiness.

Today was very fruitful he was able to get rid of that waste and finally succeeded in getting engaged with Regina.

Even though it would be frowned upon if people knew but he had actually already taken Regina's virginity a year ago when he was drunk and had promised to marry her.

A lot of guys would want to marry such a talented and beautiful girl but she had always waited for him so he felt like he had found the right wife to lead his future harem.

Lucas didn't have a harem yet because he had very high expectations for his wives but he thought it was time he started building because he was behind of the other princes who already had immense harems which gave them more powerful connections for the future fight for the throne.

Of course the fifth prince was an exception, he also didn't have anyone yet but everyone expected it to stay that way since they had concluded that he is gay.

At this moment Lucas didn't know yet that Regina always acted like gentle jade in front of him while she was actually a scheming woman who was also extremely jealous.

To have someone like her lead a harem would probably be the worst decision ever and would only lead to disaster.

"You may leave."

The king had already given enough of his precious time to his son so he ordered him to leave.

Lucas gave a deep bow before his father after which he left with a smile on his face while imagining the sexy reward he was going to get after telling Regina his accomplishments of today.

That deaf good-for-nothing disappeared more and more from his mind as he was fantasizing about all the lewd things that were going to happen that night.

While Lucas was drowning in happiness Luna had arrived in front of the Pullus Forest.
