What could go wrong? (EDITED)

Arriving in an abandoned warehouse, their only source of light was the car's headlights. Lu Yifeng went out of the car and was followed by Xia Meilin who was carrying Little Melon in her arms.

"Momma, where are we?" Little Melon asked sleepily while he was rubbing his closed eyes.

"Shh, baby." Xia Meilin said softly.

Lu Yifeng turned to Zi Lin, his driver who went out of the car as well. "Get them out of here."

"But master, you can't fight them alone with your con-

"Now." Lu Yifeng's words were firm and absolute that made him shut up. Zi Lin couldn't help but follow his master.

Zi Lin turned to Xia Meilin and Little Melon with a heavy heart. Zi Lin wouldn't usually be worried about his master since his fighting skills were above average, he was just worried that with too many movements and pressure he would make while fighting, his wounds might open up. Little Melon has behaved whenever Lu Yifeng carried him, he didn't need to move his body much.

"Please follow me, madam, young master."

Xia Meilin couldn't help but get worried about Lu Yifeng since he'd be facing those men alone. Although she hated him, she was not a cruel person to wish for his death. She just wanted him to rot in prison as justice would be served to him. Death was like an easy escape from his sins that's why she was not going to allow it

"Make sure to come back." Xia Meilin told Lu Yifeng before she turned away and followed Zi Lin

Lu Yifeng's cold face cracked a bit as a small smile was seen on his lips. There was no way that he was going to allow himself to die when he still has to make up for the family he regained.

Xia Meilin followed Zi Lin to the backdoor of the warehouse. When they went out, a black Mercedes Maybach was seen.

"This..."

Zi Lin took out another key and opened the car's door for her. "Master has always prepared an escape plan whenever things went out of hand. This is one of the places he has prepared whenever someone tries to go after his life." He explained. "Please get in."

"Momma, why is dada not coming with us?" Little Melon looked at her in confusion.

Xia Meilin tried to give him a reassuring smile, "Don't worry, baby... Your father just needs to meet with some friends."

"Can't Mello meet them? Dada's friends are Mello's friends!" He grinned at her. He was clueless and innocent of the situation they were in.

"They have some adult work to do so right now, you can't."

"Madam, we need to hurry up." Zi Lin reminded as he was now sitting in the driver's seat. He already called for backup but because of the place they were in at that moment, it would take time before they would arrive. Zi Lin could only pray for his master's safety.

Xia Meilin placed Little Melon inside the car and placed the seatbelt on him. "I need to go help your father so that he can come back early."

Little Melon nodded and smiled, "Okay! Mello will wait for momma and dada at home."

She placed a soft kiss on his forehead before she leaned back and closed the car's door. She looked at Zi Lin, "Protect my son at all cost."

Zi Lin furrowed his brows. "Madam, I can't leave you here. Those men are not ordinary people. You will only be a burden to master."

How can a sweet and frail looking girl give his master assistance in a fight?

"Don't worry, I won't bring him down. Now go." She turned and went back, entering the warehouse through the back door.

She didn't leave any room for him to argue. His master would surely skin him alive for not being able to hold Xia Meilin back!

He wanted to follow her and bring her back but with Little Melon around, he was placed in a difficult situation. He could only drive his car away from the place, using another route as Little Melon stared at him with his cute big eyes. "Momma is always right, uncle driver."

His mother was always right. If she was wrong then she was still going to be right no matter what.

"Ugh..."

Meanwhile, back in the warehouse, the three black cars that followed finally arrived inside the warehouse. A couple of men, wearing black suits went out of the car.

"What a surprise to find you here all alone, Mr. Lu."

The light from their cars was their only source of light. They all looked at Lu Yifeng who was standing in front of them. The men started surrounding him, they were ordered to capture him, not to kill him since their master's goal was to kidnap Lu Yifeng and by this, Lu Xian Yu would have no choice but to show himself to save his brother. When he would come then he would surely fall to their master's trap.

Lu Yifeng was in a very bad mood since these men interrupted his family time. A sudden frosty and menacing atmosphere emerged the place.

Faced with his sharp eyes like eagle's, the men's hearts skipped a beat all of a sudden like they were enveloped by an overwhelming iciness that covered the skies and ground; their surroundings were all piercingly cold and their instincts told them that danger was in front of them.

Lu Yifeng was like a huge and dangerous proud lion while he stood calmly in the middle.

But that didn't make them back down, they were all highly trained fighters and they were just against one man, what could go wrong?
