That night, the media was in uproar because of what happened earlier that day in the airport. A few photos of Little Melon has started to be compared from Lu Yifeng's few photos.

Everyone knew that Xia Meilin has a son, so everyone thought that she was married, the only question was with who? She would always find a way to avoid such questions whenever she was interviewed but now that Little Melon and Lu Yifeng's photos were being compared, everyone started suspecting that he must be her husband.

Xia Meilin sighed as she turned off her phone. Reading the news and comments made her head ache that's why it was better if she would ignore them instead.

The following day, Xia Meilin went to meet up with Lu Yifeng in Fanfan, a five-star restaurant. She entered the room that was reserved for them and when she did, she saw Lu Yifeng inside.

She was hesitant to be in the same room as him since her lawyer didn't arrive yet.

Lu Yifeng looked at her with calm eyes, watching her come inside and sit before him.

Xia Meilin tried her best to remain calm, making her guards up against him.

The room was quiet for a short while until Lu Yifeng opened his mouth, "Do you want to order something?"

She looked at him before she took out some files from the brown envelope that she brought, "No thanks, I'm good. While we're waiting for my lawyer, let's discuss the conditions that I prepared."

She handed him a copy of the contract she prepared.

Lu Yifeng took the file and started reading it. The room became quiet again when he started reading through the file.

They would not share a room. He was not allowed to touch her intimately. She would behave and follow him whenever they were in public, in return, he has to make sure that he would do the same for her. He has to respect her privacy.

While he was reading, they heard a knock before the hostess announced, "Ms. Xia, Mr. Lu, someone seeks your presence."

"Let them in." Xia Meilin said as she continued on staring at Lu Yifeng who didn't seem to be bothered by what he was reading.

"I apologize for my tardiness, Ms. Xia." Xia Meilin's lawyer apologized as he entered and bowed at them.

"It's okay."

"Good morning, Mr. Lu, I am Ms. Xia Meilin's lawyer, Zhang Wei." The man, wearing a suit went and bowed at him before he went sat on the vacant seat that was prepared for him.

"So, let us discuss the contract, shall we?" Zhang Wei opened his briefcase and pulled out the original copy of the terms and conditions Xia Meilin sent him.

"No need to discuss, I have agreed to it." Lu Yifeng said.

Xia Meilin and Zhang Wei were surprised by his words..

"Give it to me."

Zhang Wei took a glance at Xia Meilin, she nodded her head, giving him permission. She was actually relieved that Lu Yifeng agreed to every term she placed. Although it was unexpected, she was glad that he didn't make it hard for her.

"Please sign here, Mr. Lu." Zhang Wei gave him the contract and a pen before he pointed at the spot on where he must sign.

After signing the contract, Xia Meilin signed her part as well.

Zhang Wei kept it back in his briefcase. "Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Lu." He then turned to Xia Meilin. "May I take my leave now?"

"Yes, thank you for the trouble, Mr. Zhang." Xia Meilin smiled.

When Zhang Wei left, Lu Yifeng turned to look at her, "Let's go to the Civil Affairs office to get married. After that, my assistant will release an official statement about our marriage."

Since she already agreed to marry him, she didn't bother on going against his decision.

"Okay." It didn't matter to her now that everything has been decided, marrying him at that moment or later would still be the same for her; she has decided to continue on her plan against him.

They went to the Civil Affairs office together without talking at each other the whole way. Xia Meilin didn't have anything to say to Lu Yifeng and he, on the other hand, already expected that she would just ignore him in the end if he tried to start a conversation with her.

The couple's marriage procedure was processed quickly and by the end of it, they were holding their marriage certificates.

Xia Meilin still couldn't believe that she married Lu Yifeng. She could only feel sorry for herself, whatever would happen, in the future, she has to deal with it by herself.

While she was in his car, as they were heading back to the Xia family manor, Xia Meilin's phone started ringing, it was a call from her grandma.

"Momma! When are you and Dada coming home?" Little Melon's small voice was heard from the other line as soon as she answered it.

Because of Lu Yifeng's sharp hearing sense, he was able to hear what Little Melon said and this made his chest filled with an indescribable feeling. The heavy air around the car since earlier started fading out because of Little Melon's call.

Xia Meilin took a glance at Lu Yifeng before she answered, "We're on our way home, baby."

"Okay! Tell Dada not to forget the amusement park!"

Xia Meilin gulped nervously, she really didn't want to talk with Lu Yifeng but at a time like this, she didn't have a choice. She faced Lu Yifeng and stuttered a bit, "He-He said not to forget the amusement park."

"Mm, that's why I'm on my way to pick him up."
