At the Castle

Chattering could be heard from almost every corner.

The King of the domain threw a party for his son who was going away to learn how to be a swordsman as well as a king

Amber was a small-town girl and her family wasn't so rich. But when they received the invitation, they were filled with joy cause Amber has never been or seen sight of the palace since when she was born. Amber had come to the party with her mother. Amber was only 9 years old but she was excited about going anyway.

Amber followed her mother everywhere cause she didn't want to get lost at such a big function before her mother finally stopped her and said

"Amber why don't you go and play with the other children" Amber who was nervous didn't want to show it and she said "Yes Mama" and the butler took her to the other children.

When she got to where all the children were, she was a bit scared cause she felt all of them were night creatures. She had only come because she had never seen the castle in her life.

Amber sat in a corner watching other kids before she suddenly hears a voice "What are you doing here" when she heard the voice, shivers ran down her spine and she quickly stood up

"My name is Prince Lucas, and at my party, no one gets to sit on the floor," he said with a broad face. "M..my name I..s Amber," she said looking terrified as she bowed because he was the crowned prince. He grabs her hand, and drags her to the middle of the party, and said "Everyone this is Amber and Amber why don't you tell us about yourself" he said with a broad smile.

She was scared and shy that she stumbled on her words "My name..me I..s Amber. Am from a small town called. I am only nine and my father and mother are tailors" she was scared

but still answered one of the children burst into laughter and said

"your father is a tailor oh I've been looking for a tailor to patch my cloth can he do it now"

Other kids burst into laughter

Amber who didn't understand the joke said "My Papa and Mama will be able to stitch it for you and it won't be expensive" she said with her head high

"Oh am sure it wouldn't be more than just one gold coin," said another

"Pathetic your parents are just tailors no wonder I was smelling the fragrance of such cheap perfume"

Amber could see everyone laughing and mocking her and her parents which made her run away with tears in her eyes.

As there was laughter in the room, the prince finally said "Silence" and the entire room was silent.

"I didn't teach you guys to be rude to my new friend, did I," he said with a grin on his face

Everyone started to apologize

Lucas went after her.
