1 Chapter One: Legacy

In the year 283, following the previous King Malikis' rule, the kingdom of Melaria was preparing for war against southern barbarians known as the Red Lion Tribe. These barbarians began an invasion upon the southern border of Melaria after news of King Malikis' passing. At the time I was only 21 years old, and I had just joined the Royal Army. After 7 months of being stationed in Fort Greenvale, only 200 miles north of the southern border, I received orders to head for the front lines with a small squadron to accompany me.
