3 Chapter 3

The journey to the Mortal Coil took three human days, but when they arrived, Hitoshi stepped through the Gates of Purgatory into the realm of humans. It was the dead of night and they arrived in the yard of a ruined manor that was just outside of the city where Akane's shop and home were located.

Hitoshi huffed, looking at his companions, "You idiots need to look normal."

With a wave of his hand, Cerberus split into three, its form fading from that of a large dog to three individual human beings.

One was a girl with dark skin and hair, with black scleras and gleaming gold irises. She wore a teal and purple walking dress, with horns still protruding from her head. Alarmed at her change in form, she began feeling her face and body with confusion, "W-what? I-I'm a human?!"

She turned to the two other heads, who had formed into men. One had golden hair with bangs and matching gold eyes to hers. He wore a black jacket, with a grey shirt and black slacks, "Aaah! What the Hell?!"

The other man had long black hair with black eyes, wearing a black long shirt with a white vest and black slacks, he pointed at the two other heads in astonishment, "W-we've been separated!"

"Yes, you fucking dolts…" Hito groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance, "You're human now and in this realm you'll play my servants who manage my home."

"They're going to need names,"Kura pointed out.

He side-eyed the red devil, "You're going to need a disguise too."

"So do you, my lord." He retorted, pointing to Hitoshi's wings and halo, "Mortals wouldn't exactly know what to do with a fallen angel walking around."

He let out a grunt as he began brushing on his skin and wings, "What appearance would best fool these pretentious bitches?"

As he ran his hands down his arms, his grey skin became flush with a light pulse, while his wings retracted and faded into a white cape with golden accents and a blood red underlining. A black shirt formed over his chest as blood red leather gloves adorned his hands, rolling up the sleeves to expose his chiseled forearms. He wore a gold belt-buckle with a black leather belt, navy trousers, and black leather high boots. Hitoshi looked down in frustration at the matching red tie, accented on the tips with gold, yanking it undone as he unbuttoned the top few buttons of his shirt. His ash blonde hair, crimson eyes, and red earring remained. As he did, Kurayami's skin faded from red to peach, long black coat-tails forming from his tail, and he wore a sleek butler's suit.

"Not too shabby, Hito." he remarked with a wistful bow.

He let out a breath of laughter, "Not so bad yourself. Your shitty hair hides your horns well."

"Hey! It's like we're horn buddies!" The woman exclaimed happily, pointing to her own, "And what's this about us getting names?"

"Yeah, if we're going to be humans then we should each get a name, right? It'd be weird if we all just responded to Cerberus." The golden man remarked, folding his arms self-consciously.

The black haired man shook his leg nervously, "Standing on two legs feels really weird."

"Get fucking used to it. This could be a long month," Hitoshi ordered, moving to the ruined manor and surveying it. He closed his eyes and snapped his fingers, but nothing happened, "... What?"

"Oh boy," Kurayami groaned, "Are we going to have to rebuild this place by ourselves?"

"That's going to be quite an effort," The golden man observed woefully.

Hitoshi let out a yell, stomping his right foot on the ground with fury, "You damn old hag! If you're going to force me to stay up here, the least you could fucking do is let me have a way to make some goddamn resources for myself!!"

At that moment, he felt a jolt of energy from his foot then snapped his fingers again. This time, the ruins of the mansion began to rise up and rebuild. The weeds and vines around them retreated, forming into a garden with a long driveway, trees, and an iron gate in a stone archway. Within a matter of moments, the mansion was restored. It's dark grey bricks climbing into the air with tall towers and rounded windows. The windows and points were accented with extensive white trim, causing the house to have a warm glow as its lights illuminated the darkness.

"Woah… I've never seen light like this before." The dark-haired man said in wonder.

"It's so pretty and warm feeling!" The girl commented with glee.

"So this is home for the next… what was it… the month you said?" the golden one remarked, "How are we going to find a woman who's not on Hell's List in a month?!"

Hitoshi scoffed as he adjusted his cape, "You extras need names to go by. We'll have to split up and search tomorrow morning."

"Should we pick out our own names?" The golden one asked.

"I don't fucking care."he groaned, rubbing his eyes in annoyance.

The three exchanged glances then pondered for a moment.

The golden man pointed to himself, "Hey, I like the name Mosu… so I'll be… Mosu Suzuki."

"That's a good one, man!" The dark haired man commented, gesturing his thumb to his chest, "I'll be Kasai Hamasaki!"

"Why are boys names so easy to figure out?" The dark girl lamented with a pout, "I have no idea what I should call myself…"

Kurayami thought for a moment, circling around her with a soft gaze, "How about… Anala Nakamura?"

"Anala?" she repeated, looking up as she did, "Anala… I like that name. Alright, I'll be Anala Nakamura!"

With his patience extinguished, Hitoshi folded his arms and tapped his foot, "Are we fucking done? Good.Anala, you're my maid, Kasai, you're my cook, Mosu, you're my gardener, and Kurayami, you're my butler."

"Do you think the four of us could really run this mansion on our own?"Kurayami asked, "I thought great houses had lots of servants."

"The fewer flesh bags the better," Hitoshi grumbled, walking towards the manor as he did.

"Wait, my lord, we should probably name the house." Mosu suggested, "It's like Kurayami said, most great houses have lots of servants and a name."

Growling lowly, Hitoshi looked back at the manor, his eyes sweeping over the beautiful home with a tired gaze. Despite his repulsed attitude towards his situation, he had to admit his magic had brought a beautiful home back to life. It wasn't Hell on Earth, but it would be home for the next month. He let out an exasperated breath and grumbled, "It's Morningstar Manor. I should see if I can alter the memories of the locals to think its been here for awhile tomorrow."

"I'm so excited! I get to sleep in a bed!" Anala exclaimed.

"This is going to be the best vacation ever!" Mosu cried with excitement.

"This isn't a fucking vacation, you dumbasses!" barked back, "We're finding me a bride then we're going to off her and head back home! Don't get too fucking comfortable, got it?"

The three shrunk away, whimpering like dogs as Hitoshi stormed off into the manor. Kurayami patted their heads in reassurance, "This is an adjustment for all of us. Give him time, guys... Okay?"

"But Kura," Anala began, "It's hard to find someone who isn't on Hell's List these days… do you think we'll find someone who he can stand long enough to marry and be done with her?"

"I think the better question is can we find someone who will stand him long enough…" Mosu snickered.

Kurayami shrugged, gesturing to his companions to follow Hitoshi, "The Prince's powers have obviously been weakened since journeying to the Mortal Coil. We'll have to see what happens tomorrow."
