19 Chapter 18 — The man who abandoned us
While grinning, Demetri played the sign pen he was holding. William's joyous days were soon enough to end.
Lilian has been in his possession for more than two months. He will have to wait just four months and he will finally overthrow William.
Gold cost betting, that's what he calls their stake settlement. They will fight not just for riches, but for a high position in an underworld organization.
He will use Lilian to tame the monstrous mafia boss of the big group. Lilian's two months of training are enough before he can send her the frontline of his nocuous framework
Although Aduke is known as a cruel Mafia Don, a ruthless killer, and has never fallen in love with a woman, Demetri was confident to convince him to marry Lilian.
Why did he choose Lilian? A simple question with a simple answer.
Aduke Mondragon was a close friend of William's father Wilson Gritson. He was William's godfather. Of all his godsons, William was Aduke's favorite. He is excited to see William’s reaction that his beloved Lilian will be married to his godfather.

He called Shiela to see if Lilian was ready for her second challenge. Shiela immediately notified that she was prepared. He hung up, then a winning smile suddenly pasted on his thin ruddy lips.
This could be a good show to watch.
Lilian's breath grew heavy as they crossed the road to the grand hall. Demetri obviously notice it, so he whispered to her not to be too disturbed. He might get nervous and their plan would fail.
" Do I really have to do this, Demetri?"
She wanted to retreat especially when she peeked below the veranda of the hall, wealthy and prominent personalities heeded to Demetria's elegant birthday party.
" This is not your final challenge, Lilian. There is something more severe than this. You need to successfully pass this challenge, if you failed I will punish you."
Demetri glared at her. Under his threatening gaze filled with a ferocious aim, she wouldn't try to restrain. She gulped in trouble.
“ I can do this!” She trying to encourage herself. He just smirks in a nice composure.
She gracefully clung her hand to his sturdy masculine arm. She confidently stepping across the long red carpet alongside one of the most eligible bachelors, Demetri Sylvestre.
She killed the access through her enigmatic aura. Wearing a white tight-fitting long dress with a high slit on the side exposing her slender white legs. It was simple yet elegant. Embellishing glimmered bracelet, half-carat diamond earrings make her more precious and adorable.
Men turned their gaze at her stunning remarkable looks and flawless demeanor.
Lilian, how far have you come! How did you do this?
They approached Demetria's whereabouts where she was accompanied by four gorgeous friends.
" Happy birthday, Deme. Did you receive my gift?" Demetri asked his sister in an ecstatic tone.
" Yeah. I am excited to open it," she answered in a delighted accent.
Demetria looked at her. She made her gaping at her, and she couldn't believe it after she saw her in that aura. She was agape, adorning her classy outfit.
" Gosh, you're so gorgeous", she praised Lilian.
She reached out her hand. She bothered to accept her warm hands.
" Who was the fashion stylist you hired to made her like this? Goodness, she's so beautiful, brother. It's enviable" she said to her brother with a pout.
" Can I also hire Lilian's fashion stylist?" She added with a giggle.
Demetria can't stop liking her confidence. Lilian let out her chuckles.
" You're gorgeous, Demetria. Actually, the last outfit you wore nailed the red carpet. It got me inspired to chose this kind of dress," Lilian fawned on replied.
Demetria was flattered.
" Thank you, but Santi stole the show", she clarified with a shrug. They both laughed.
As she sipped her wine, she stared blankly at the back of a man wearing a modern black victorian suit. She turned her eyes in front of him was the tall man who looked like his assistant. That man was what Demetri instructed her to make him fall in love with her in just 60 seconds.
He's insane! How can she possibly make a man fall for her in just a minute? It is impossible to happen.
Even William, who has been with her for five years, was never fall in love with her, and in 60 seconds she will make a stranger fall in love with her?
She shrugged off.
" Get ready," Demetri uttered as she looked at him with anticipation.
" You have 60 seconds to make him fall in love with you, or else I will punish you in my red room," he intimidatingly ordered. She swallowed her fear.

" I can do it," she said in final.

She walks towards the man's behind. She took the opportunity for the waiter to pass behind her and she pretended to trip on wearing high heels.
She gently knocked the back of him. She softly grabbed the man's shoulder, he was also shocked when she suddenly appeared. He immediately helps her.
Demetri was watching her acting skill. That’s not what he expected from Lilian. He then realized that the woman he chose to seduce Aduke Mondragon, moreover has a hidden intellect.
Their eyes met. The handsome man stared at her in surprise, stunned by her beauty. Lilian also couldn't believe it when she saw his face. She was in terror after realizing who was the man in front of her.
No! Maybe, he's just looking like the man who abandoned us when were children.
" I am s-sorry. I am a little bit unprofessional wearing high heels," she said as a decent alibi.
" Oh — it's okay," the man answered with his charming smile. His eyes were so sexy.
Although he's 55 but looks like 40, his perfect chiseled front, sensual lips accompanied by his robust physique were enough to drive any woman crazy.

He just looks like the man I hate the most. The abusive man left them to make them suffer more severely.
