13 Chapter 12 — William's admission

They walked in the side of the stream and there they cleaned their body. The mud stick to their clothes. After they cleaned themselves, they started walking out of the forest.

William assists her so that she doesn't slip on the slippery rocks. They have been walking for almost an hour but still, they can't reach the road.

" William, are we still far? We've been walking for almost an hour," she asked in exhaustion.

" I don't know. I am not sure if we leading the right route," he doubted replied.

" What! I thought you knew the way out of this forest," she complained. He faced her.

" Let's just follow the creek. I'm sure it will lead us to reach the road," he responded.

This is what she's avoiding happening. Whoever else she avoids, they unexpectedly appeared.

You're unfortunate, Lilian.

They clambered to the rock. She was suddenly dazed when she noticed a large part of the forest that was no longer planted with trees.

William also stopped and looked out over the devastated area of the forest. It's not good to see such a horrible result of human irreverence towards nature.

" This is devastated. People have done too much to destroy such a large area like this," she commented in dismay.

" If you could buy that land, what would you do first?" William asked her.

" Planting trees," she briefly answered.

" Do you think, it's not too late to plant trees to save that land?" he interestingly questioned.

" Of course. If we start planting trees tomorrow, it will be saved", she replied with a smile.

" What kind of wood do you want to plant there?" She turned to William.

He seems so serious. She didn't expect that he could be interested in talking about mother earth. Before...he always talking about business, money, economic crisis, that's weird and boring, right?

" Centurion, Yellow Meranti, Douglas fir, and coast redwood", she kidded. He frowned before she heard him chuckled.

They stayed in the middle of the forest. Quietly facing the fire that serves as a light in the dark woods. They used it to dry their clothes. She looks at William's busy shooing mosquitoes away.

Lilian threw a bashful way of sense a sight to William's side. He was half-naked, and she freely could see his muscular and sturdy physique.

She immediately averted her eyes when he looked back. This is awkward. They have been separated for more than 3 years, but she can't deny the feeling of missing the things they did when they were still married.

Her feeling towards William is still there. She can't deny it. It's been a long time she didn't dare to date another man for three years.

Though there are men who are interested in her, she prefers to avoid them. She didn't want to get involved in trouble and misfortune again.

“ Did you enjoy being Demetri’s fianceé?” William asked.

His question has sounds to her a double-meaning question.

What kind of enjoyment does he ask?

" Do you want me to answer your question?" She seemed to ask defiantly. He stared at her for a moment.

" About the BDSM?" He refers to Demetri's alleged indecent proposal for his women.

She doesn't know what BDSM is.

" What's BDSM?" She innocently asked him.

She forgot to ask Demetri about the BDSM. Due to her nescient, William can't keep smiling before he let out a chuckled.

" You have no idea about BDSM?” William asked incredulously. She answered hesitantly.

" Do you still remember the movie Fifty Shades of Grey?"

Yeah. She clearly remembers that movie. Her face turned pink. She suddenly remembered a mischievous experience after that movie.

There's a lot of moment he will open up, why he chose that to recount? Gosh, William! You're so smart.

William couldn't hide his smile when he noticed the redness on Lilian's cheek. She reacted like a virgin.

" Do you want to allow Demetri as the Christian Grey and you’re going his submissive prey?” William continued. Lilian gulped.

That's what Demetri meant? After 6 months, he will give her another contract but he will not go to force her.

It's up to her if she agrees. She also suddenly remembered Demetri's advice to her. Don’t let herself get close to William, because when she falls into his snare again she’s sure she won’t be able to get her children, anymore.

She yawned with drowsiness. Her body was weary. She was tired of walking earlier. She leaned back and take a nap.

William remained seated and seriously watching Lilian on asleep. A bitter smile flashed on his lips.

William used Lilian to get his legacy. He controlled everything just to keep their marriage in private. One of the reasons why he suddenly pursued the divorce was...he's going to marry someone else daughter—a mafia don's daughter to get the higher rank and power. Demetri's devilry opened up a good alibi of him to pursue a divorce.

He admitted that he didn't have feelings towards her wife. It is difficult to marry someone else you didn't love. He loves Yvette. Yvette was his first love but she was in love with his best friend Demetri.

He hides his feeling for Yvette for a long time, until one day, he went to the Philippines and met Lilian.

His grandfather pushed him to marry a woman. He can get his legacy if he's married. The day he confessed her feeling to Yvette, it was the day she tore his heart into pieces.

She just told him that, she's going to marry Demetri and she didn't have any feelings towards him. His world was broken. He's expecting to convince Yvette to marry him but he failed.

He haven't a choice, through to his disappointment he decided to force himself and married Lilian. But, discontentment roared inside his soul.

He admitted that he's shellfish and narcissistic, but he drew back his mistake. He finally tastes the real karma. He lost Lilian, he both lost Lilian and Yvette in his life.

And he won't allow happening of losing Lilian in his life forever. Demetri used her ex-wife to get revenge, but he will fight. He will use everything just to protect Lilian.

He knows that it's not too late. There's a big chance to build their relationship again. But, he couldn’t help but think.

What is the next plan of his rival ex-best friend over him?

Is he planning only to make Lilian fall in love with him? Or he is planning to change Lilian for some enormity reason?

He's now confused about Demetri's tricky games.
