The Deserter

At the heat of the fight against the Janboko terrorist insurgency, Lt. Jerry Dipta connives with his crush, fellow Lt. Sarah Ade and deserts from the Nigerian Armed Forces. Sarah, Col. Okonjo’s supposed girlfriend, drugs the Colonel and takes the two million dollars in his possession meant for arms, provisions and welfare of the unit, to elope with Jerry and start a new life across border. Col. Okonjo sets Capt. Dati at their heels, which they narrowly manage to escape to the border. As they see the end of their onerous journey in sight however, Jerry discovers an ancient portal with strange lettering at the peak of a mountain. In a bid to decipher the codes, he is accidentally but magically transported to another dimension. But the battle to get back to his two million and the love of his life, takes him further into the territory of strange beings he thought existed only in fairy tales.
