2 CHAPTER 1

Rock music blazing while standin under the shower Maisey is looking forward to the first day of her last year of high school "i wonder what it will be like" her best friend melanie since 6th grade said while sitting in their favourite cafe enjoying their favourite beverage hazelnut cuppichino with just a dollop of whipped cream on top "i dont know i mean its all very exitin and all but what im actually looking forward to is being a senior and finally getting to finish high school at last" i answerd but now that Maisey really thinks about it she silently hopes that no suprises pops. Up she cant deal with those kinda stuff just yet.

After her parents unexpected deaths in a car crash only a year ago Maisey still struggels to keep her head above water she couldnt even say goodbye at a proper funeral because there werent one and that was the worst part of it all not to be able to have a burial and sayin goodbye properly was devastating. "Unknown faults" thats what the police told her what triggerd the accident and ran the car of tge road.

Shed been told that the accident was so severe that their bodies couldnt be recoverd thats why they couldnt have a funeral because the remains was to little for a coffin and to buy 2 coffins was a waste of money,just thinking about it made a lonely tear roll down her face.

she still havent seem to live on becaus even though they told her it was asn accident something about everthing just didnt feel right,her father was always proper and cautious before ever leaving the house or getting into his truck he double checks everthin first to make sure there were no problems and every month he took the truck for a deep thorough check up at the local garage.

I always thought that it was a bit strange for goin to all this trouble but he always assured her that safety is very important to him to always protect her so to makr an accident as to "unknown faults" were a mystery.

"Maisey!!!! Breakfast is ready!!" she heard her aunt Daphne yellin from the kitchen. She took Maisey in after the accident because there were no other relatives Maisey still wouldve chose to live with her aunt.

Aunt Daphne was her mothers older sister but with her fair colour hair and greyish blue eyes she just have a rare beuty within. I wouldve swear she was the younger sister if it was possible to even consider i wouldve swear she gets younger every few months.

As im sitting across from her at the kitchen table eating breakfast she looks no older than me and im only 17 with my honey blonde hair with shades of brown in between and ocean blue eyes i still cant compare to my aunt whom i love so dearly.

My mind was raging. "So youre exited about school? this is your last year" my aunt broke my thoughts i smile,"yeah i mean its not like im a new student and all but ive waited so lon for this day to come i mean i love school bug im gonna miss everyone,all the teachers and the drama thats always happening but im also super exited because im finally in my last year andvone step closer to finishing high school."

My aunt and i were always like friends sisters actually we could talk about anything with one another and im grateful although Mel is my best friend theres stuff that i dont discuss with her but rather with my aunt she always have a deeper phych about deep things i have no clue about.

"So any new meat that i should know about?",she asked wiggling her eybrows smilin at me. I burst out laughing my aunt always has a way with words thats ridicously funny thats what i love about her always wanna stay informed in my life and i dont mind.

"Why do you always do that referring to guys in a metaphorical way? why not just refer to them as what they are which is human beings? just an opposite gender to woman"i asked still laughing and no aunt there isnt anyone and if there were you would be the first to know,i replied without waiting for an reply on my first question,

she grins at me and smiles then i noticed a sad dazed expression on her face,"whats wrong aunt? you know you could talk to me is there trouble with the house or with your heatlh",without hesistation she only smiles and replies in a low husky voice "youre parents wouldve been so proud of you on what youve achieved and im glad im still around to witness it".

Without saying another word she walks around the table and gave me a bear hug before i can say anythig else i hear a long overhauling beep from outside that must be Mel "dont worry aunt everthings going to work out as it should",i said while walking to door to meet Mel i heard a soft grumble coming from my aunt i looked at her but she just stares at me and says "love you kiddo","i love you too aunt D" and i raced outside to Mel while tryin to focus on the words that my aunt mutterd it almost sounded like,"i hope so too i hope that this time there were no more tragedies this time well be prepared".

As im mulling the words over in my head Mel interupts my thoughts as i was getting into the car,"deep thinking this early in the morning cant be good spit it out what is it?"

.Mel is always protective she knows me too well to know something is wrong but i decided not to tell her so i just smiled and put on a fake face that doesnt look like im depressed,"im just thinkin about out senior year is goin to be like thats all" hoping i sounded convincing relieved Mel bought it and was turning towards the stereo to put on some music and half shouting over the loud rock music "fucking awesome thats what it will be like" and we drove away towards school this is going to be a long exiting year i thought to myself i switched off my brain from depressing stuff and staring singing alon with Mel to one of our favourite song on our way to school.....
