"He holds such valuable power!"

"That kid is really strange… I think is best if you let him go—"

"WHO CARES! Can't you see that my

child sick?!"

A woman was sobbing sorrowfully.

Looking at her son that was lying in bed

with a high fever, breathing heavily.

"Mommy...my stomach hurts, and my

head too..."

"Is okay sweetie....is okay...." the woman rubbed his belly in circles.

Relaxing the child a bit more, making him

fall asleep.

———

"Chiyo! Chiyo! Kaneko! Oh~ what are you doing?"

"The plants told me that they were

thirsty!"

Chiyo was watering the plants with a

water bottle.

"Really? And how do they speak?"

"They twinkle!"

———

"Chiyo!" A woman's tender voice shouted, waking up Chiyo.

Chiyo sat up while rubbing his eyes, stretching his arms to the ceiling afterwards.

Putting on his sandals to go downstairs and heading towards the kitchen, walking and swaying from tiredness.

"What is it, mom?" Chiyo said while yawning.

"Were you taking a nap?" Mom asked in disbelief.

She sighed,

"Did you already finish your homework?" She went back to stirring the food on the pot.

"Yeah…" Chiyo whined.

"You're so whiny when you wake up. Help set up the table, would you?" She took the plates from the cabinet and handed them over to Chiyo, taking the plates and going to the table.

It only took him 15 seconds to set it up, so he decided to turn on the TV and see if there was anything interesting going on. But to his luck, it was a boring day.

Mom had come to the table with the pot in both hands, placing it down in the middle so both could have their share.

Chiyo turned off the TV and got up to sit on the dinner table, grabbing his chopsticks,

"Thanks for the meal!"

"Oh! You really are mama's boy, look at you eating~" the Mom cooed over her lovely son.

"Pfft!" Chiyo spit out his food slightly, making her laugh.

"Now don't make a mess, and you better clean that room of yours!" Mom pointed the chopsticks towards him, making a threat.

"Okaaaay."

After 15 minutes, they had both finished their food. It was Chiyo's turn to wash the dishes as his Mom went to take a shower.

To have entertainment while doing an 'exhausting' task he decided to turn the TV back on.

"It was incredible this week, don't you agree?"

"It really was AMAZING. But don't you think that it should have been Shoto Todoroki standing in first place?"

It was news anchors talking about the U.A. Sports Festival that had just happened a few days ago, the students in the freshman class becoming quite the topic.

"Imagine being young and famous… well couldn't be me!" Chiyo shrugged it off.

He was never interested in becoming a hero. And he still isn't.

He did have his favorite heroes, of course; but he saw them more as an idol view than a 'I wanna be like them' view.

Chiyo was homeschooled since elementary school, thanks to his sickness.

He could have still continued to go to school as he would only take a two week break somewhere in the school year but his Mom got more worried and didn't want him to risk himself, and the other kid's parents thought that his illness was contagious. There are times when he wishes he could go to a school, but he throws it out the window.

After finishing the dishes, he didn't have anything to do and just sat down on the sofa.

….

"Mom! I'm going to the playground!" After all, he didn't want to die from boredom.

"Alright! Be careful sweetie!— and take your phone!" She shouted.

Chiyo was already at the front door putting his boots with his phone on his back pocket,

"Later mom! Wait for me to say goodbye before you go!"

And with that he was out on the streets, jogging his way to the convenience store first to get some ice cream and after that was done he made his way to the playground, only to be stopped by an old neighbor.

"Chiyo!" The old man screamed out his name.

"Yes Mr. Abiko?" Chiyo said with his ice cream hanging from his mouth.

"Is your mother going out on a business trip today?" Mr. Abiko said while leaning down onto the floor to get a plastic bag.

"Yeah." Chiyo followed the old man's hand.

"Give this to your mother will you? My brother sent them to me but he gave me too many." Mr. Abiko handed the plastic bag to Chiyo.

Chiyo looked inside the bag,

"Oh! Oranges, thank you Mr. Abiko!" Chiyo bowed down.

"Haha, no problem kid."

"I'll see you later Mr. Abiko!" He waved to the old man and headed to the playground.

———

When he had arrived at the playground, which was a little too far from home, he went straight to the swings, as he saw that nobody was in them at the moment. He placed the bag of oranges beside the swing poles and sat down on one of the swings.

He swung back and forth trying to increase the speed of the swing, wanting to see if he could go way higher than the tree in front of him.

He looked around and saw some little kids playing on the slide and bickering with one another.

He felt embarrassed knowing that he was older than them and he was playing at a kids playground.

Chiyo was later left alone on the playground after the mom of the children came to pick them up.

"Are they siblings?" Chiyo asked himself.

A big silence filled the playground, except for the creaking of the swing and the drilling of construction that had been bothering the whole neighborhood.

"Du, duu, du, du du du…" Chiyo tried to make some noise to feel less awkward at the thought of being the only person on the playground.

"Where is everyone anyways? Isn't it a Sunday?" Confused at how little crowd there was.

"Lovely~"

Chiyo stopped the swing and whipped his head around upon hearing someone talking near him, but he didn't see anyone. After making sure that nobody was there he decided to ignore it.

"You're so lovely~"

He turned around once again and saw a tall man standing behind him, startling Chiyo and making him get up from the swing. It didn't help that he had a tank top that showed his muscles and a buzzed haircut; making look more intimidating.

Chiyo didn't feel comfortable around the man but he didn't want to be rude or anything, so he decided to grab the bag of oranges and bowed towards the man as a way of saying 'excuse me'.

"What? Are you scared?… well you should be." The tall man disappeared.

Chiyo looked around in panic.

"Behind ya~"

Before he could fully process the situation, he was strangled by the man.

"Ugh pl—please— d- don't k—" Chiyo said on the verge of tears, but the man only lifted him up by the neck.

"Oh! You want me to stop? Uhmm… okay~!"

He then threw Chiyo towards a metal pole that was in the middle of the playground, his back taking the impact of the attack.

"UGH—" Chiyo gasped for air, as it felt like someone had just punched him and took his breath away. That's when he started to cry for help.

Chiyo looked around the place, seeing nobody that could save him.

"We aren't done yet!"

The man approached Chiyo and grabbed him by the arm, Chiyo screaming from the agonizing pain when he suddenly felt a slight shake all over his body, suddenly finding himself on top of a building.

"Wha—" Chiyo cried in confusion.

"You like the view!"

He put Chiyo on the edge of the building, making him look down and seeing cars and citizens pass by, realizing that he was about to die,

"AAAAAH—"

But the man threw him back harshly to the floor, his back hitting the ground first.

"Well that wouldn't be fun, would it?… What? Cat got your tongue?~" the tall man said, making fun of how Chiyo was shaking in fear.

"AHAHAHAHA!" The tall man wiped off a fake tear.

"But… you have a pretty face, I bet it would look beautiful up on my wall…" the man looked him straight in the eye.

Chiyo closed his eyes out of fear, waiting for his head to be ripped off.

He felt the man touching his cheek, when suddenly he didn't feel anything and could only feel a slight gust of wind hitting his face. He wanted to open his eyes and see, but he was scared.

"Oh my god! Are you okay?" A woman screamed.

He suddenly opened his eyes and saw citizens. Looking around he noticed that he was in an office, all the employees stared at him in shock.

"W–where a–am I?" His voice trembled, as his body did.

"You fell down from the ceiling! Or more like you went through it! Are you okay? You're trembling so much…"

"I—" before he could even utter a word, a scream was heard.

"AAAAAAAAAAAH—"

It was a scream that was coming from far above, but loud enough to hear; And more screams started to follow.

The people inside the office were obviously confused but got hit by panic quickly as they heard loud thuds.

Chiyo, still shaking, asked the lady something.

"Ma'am h-how many floors a-are in this building?" His shaky voice and crying face made him look so pitiful.

"Wh— 50 floo—"

"And whi-which number are we on?" Chiyo asked.

The lady was in confusion and panic, she didn't have time for this.

"42! Child, we need to get out of here! HURRY!" She grabbed Chiyo by the arm and dragged him out of the office.

Chiyo was trying to process what just happened.

He knew that he had made it to the 42 floor in some way, and that the man was still after him. This woman had told him that he came through the ceiling, but how?

Was there already a hero nearby who had used his quirk to save him?

The lady stopped in front of an elevator that was full of people trying to get in, while others went through the stairs.

When suddenly you could hear big stumps coming from above, and they were coming down here.

Chiyo saw that a few people could get in the elevator. Only a few. And people were real quick to take advantage of that space, so he decided to push the woman in the elevator.

"Hey! Grab m—" the elevator door shut.

People started to panic more, but Chiyo decided to go down the stairs, even if he was dying from the pain.

He started to run and even jump down the stairs as the panic started to rise more and more, but he was running so quickly that stumbled upon his feet. He started to fall down the stairs and was waiting for the impact of hard metal to hit him right on the face, but instead he fell on a carpet.

He looked around.

He was in another office, an empty one.

He didn't have time to think about it so he quickly got up and went through the office door.

Wait….

Through?!

Chiyo paused.

"I—I went through?!!"

Chiyo wanted to test this out quickly, but was stopped.

"FOUND YOU!!" A terrifying scream echoed throughout the office.

The man had come busting through the walls and way faster than he had expected.

Chiyo panicked and started to run away, but the man teleported in front of him. So Chiyo took advantage and went through the floor and started to run down the hallway.

He looked behind him and saw the tall man right on his tail.

"Fuck!"

The man teleported in front of him.

"You're mine!"

The tall man ran towards the kid and was about to grab him.

"NOO!"

Chiyo swung his right hand up then down for some reason, when the ceiling suddenly fell on the man, pushing him down through the floors.

The whole ceiling and floor had been demolished.

Chiyo froze in fear and shock.

"What—" Chiyo looked at his hands.

"That–that wasn't me!"

Chiyo snapped out of it.

"No! I need to go…" he clenched both hands and started to run.

He was starting to feel dizzy and nauseous, maybe because of the things that were happening?

He limits himself to not use the 'through' quirk.

After running and running, he didn't know which floor he was in, deciding to check as there were no more dangers.

"The 20th?" He saw the sign door.

"Whe—HA! When are the heroes coming?!" Chiyo was going out of breath and was sweating too much from the exhaustion.

"Ah—"

He held his chest as he suddenly felt a sharp pain.

"Shit…" He started to cry while leaning against the wall.

WHY WAS THIS HAPPENING TO HIM?!

He wanted to go back home, lay down in bed while falling asleep… not this.

"…mooom…" his wailing got louder and louder, he hit the back of his head against the wall.

His whole body hurted.

"You can do it…" he tried to regain himself, "don't cry… you're going to make it worse..."

But his heartbeat was starting to get louder and louder against his ear.

"…." Wait.

"Huh? …that's not my heartbeat…" Chiyo stopped crying and tried to listen and feel his own heartbeat.

It wasn't his. The beat was off.

It sounded heavy. He knew where the heartbeat was coming from.

'He's here.' ??? Said.

But it was too late.

He was suddenly kicked in the stomach, forcing the fluids from his stomach to come out. The man lifted him up from the floor against the wall.

"YOU LITTLE FUCKER! You thought you could escape me???!! AHAHAHAHAHA!" The man had blood running down his whole face and bruises all over his body.

"I'm not going easy on you anymore! Say your last words! AHAHAHAHA!" The man had both hands in his neck, ready to pop it out of his body.

Chiyo cried more.

'Mom….'

The only thing Chiyo could think of was his mother, his everything.

"Hahaha! No last words? Sure~" he tapped Chiyo's cheek.

Chiyo's vision started to blur, when suddenly this urge rose inside him.

He looked the man straight in the eye.

'Say it.'

"GO KILL YOURSELF!" Chiyo, realizing what he said, gasped.

The man suddenly dropped him to the ground, and turned around. Facing away from Chiyo.

Chiyo was visibly confused at the actions of the man, but panicked when he saw the man running forward, towards a window.

"NO! WA—"

The glass shattered.

Screams were heard from the outside.

"Call an ambulance!"

The man… killed himself.
