「Dimensional Travelers」

People who travel between dimensions to do... stuff. They're not entirely sure what exactly they do, since one moment they could be helping another dimension's people from extinction or destroying one. They could also be given a certain mission to live in another dimension and to help shape that world's culture and maybe advance its technology or civilization.

Although they are able to do all this stuff, they aren't immortal. When they die, they die for real. This is where the term "Suzerain" comes in.

「Suzerain」

A term used to describe Dimensional Travelers who were able to obtain an「Immortal Soul.」An immortal soul is a soul that is able to reincarnate into different worlds while having its previous life's memories intact. You see, whenever a person would die, their soul would leave the body and then reincarnate into a different world. This process causes it to lose its previous memories.

Because of that, they were basically the Sovereigns of all the Dimensional Travelers. It could also be used as a term for "mentor", if a Suzerain had found another person with an「Immortal Soul.」They would guide them in the way of the Dao-- I mean, Dimensional Traveler and make them their disciple.

However, a Suzerain can only have one disciple. And that disciple will be their disciple for life. Because of that most Suzerain-disciple relationships usually become something to bonds between siblings, lovers, parents and etc. They could also sense where the other one is if they were in the same world.

Okay, enough info dumping.

So back to the scene with Luna and her Suzerain. She currently had no idea what to say at the moment. Should she be grateful that she was granted her request or be hateful that she wasn't briefed about this in his Pocket Dimension?

Pocket Dimensions were basically a Suzerain's personal dimension which could be accessed anywhere and anytime by only them and whoever they allow to. Normal Dimensional Travelers don't have this because they are restricted by the dimension they were born in.

He usually did so whenever she died and would go on to the next dimension for her training. Which was a lot. She turned around and faced the man behind her.

He seemed to be about 14 to 15 years old and she resembled him quite a lot. He had the same blue eyes and white hair like hers, although messier and it covered his left eye. He also had a black tail but it was longer and the tail head was bigger.

"Suzerain Noel, I--" Luna's words were cut short when she noticed what he was wearing.

He was wearing a white shirt and an apron that had the lines; "Hug the Chef" on it, along with a black half-face gas mask over his face which he would wear most of the time. He also had a spatula in his right hand and a plate in the other and was grilling barbeque over a grill.

There were also two plates set up on the picnic table near him chopsticks and a bowl of rice. There was also a big pot of rice in the middle of the two along with a jug of water.

She thought that he probably got the grill and ingredients from his Pocket Dimension, but the question she did have in her mind was, "Why?"

"Because I chose the body you would transfer over in and knew that you would probably be really hungry." He said in an indifferent tone.

'Did he read my thoughts?!'

"No, I didn't. I just analyzed what would be the first thing in your mind when you saw this scene based on your character, personality, and other factors. I've already taught you how to do this before haven't I?" He said it once again in that indifferent tone of his.

Luna didn't bother trying to question the scene any further and just washed her hands by the riverside before standing up and proceeded to sit down on the picnic bench. Waiting for the barbeque to be finished grilling.

It only took a few minutes before the barbeque was finished grilling and was served. Noel sat opposite of Luna and put his two hands in a prayer, as did Luna. Luna never understood why her Suzerain would tell her to do this before a meal. But since she was her mentor and an older brother to her, she followed him anyway.

After they were done, Luna began munching down on the food as if there was no tomorrow while Noel took his mask off and ate at a calm and steady pace. The scene looked like a pair of siblings have a peaceful family meal... If you could ignore the broken houses and burnt smell in the background.

"Okay, It's about time to brief on what we will do in this world." He neatly put down his chopsticks before clasping his hands together and faced his head towards Luna. He was planning to tell her on why he had reincarnated her before properly briefing her and the purpose of her training.

"Mmmfmfmfmf!"

But he was instead met by the sounds of muffled eating. He waited until she was done with her food before attempting to speak. He couldn't even get a single word out before he was interrupted by Luna.
