Before she could ask what exactly an Illborn was, Noel hurriedly pulled her away and brought her inside a nearby cafe.

He asked for a private room and made sure the clerk didn't see her eyes. He pulled her inside and plopped her down on a chair before opening a vortex again and pulling out a white medical eyepatch.

"Put it on over your left eye."

She put on the eyepatch over her golden eye. She actually looked a bit cool with it. At least this way she won't get any weird stares. Noel then pulled up an interface that looked a bit like something from a video game. Two panels then appeared in front of him, if she didn't feel any magic fluctuations and know that it was basically an interdimensional cellphone for Suzerains, she would be questioning this reality and if they were in a system novel instead.

He then searched something by typing something into another screen that had a touchscreen keyboard. After reading a few lines of text that had appeared, he sighed and then swiped the panels away.

"So, Noel, what's an Illborn?"

Noel looked at Luna with uncertainty in his eyes, she could tell that he was wondering if he should tell her or not. Was it that bad that he didn't want her to hear it? A few minutes of silence passed between them and even a waiter came in and gave her some chocolate milk while her brother got a strawberry milkshake.

He took off his mask and took a sip of his drink before finally answering.

"...A Hybrid."

"Wait, WHAT?!"

"You mean the system I made in accepting Hybrids due to the numerous possibilities they could bring to bolster our forces has been demolished in just 1000 years?!"

"Yup."

Luna's face carried immense shock and could only feel incredulous at the current situation. Hybrids were obviously, hybrids. The offspring of two different species. When the empire was founded, Luna had decided to not discriminate against them. This was mostly because it was interesting to see what kind of new races could be made out of the many different ones in the Demon Plane and because benefits could be made to their army if one had cool powers or some new magic that came to be from the fusion of two different souls.

But instead, it somehow got discarded and got a new term called 'Illborn'? What, they are ill of birth? Wait, that doesn't quite make sense. What kind of Demon, who had authority which means they should at least have some kind of intelligence, do something as stupid as this?

"Pride's younger brother."

"Leo's brother?"

If you didn't notice it already, the 8 Demon Lords were named after the 7 Deadly Sins. What? The eight one? Oh, that was Merilyn, also known as the Demon Lord of... Innocence. They couldn't think of a new sin and thought that innocence was a sin depending on a person's age. They were named after the Sins because their Soul had been intensely stained with that Sin.

Luna, as said before, was the Demon Lord of Envy. Noel, was actually the Demon Lord of Greed last time but he was too lazy to stay in the world and stayed in his pocket dimension most of the time. It made her question if he was the one that should be the Demon Lord of Sloth.

But usually, a Demon Lord's relatives would end up getting stained with the respective Sin as well. So if one's Sin was Pride, their family members would also become prideful. Because of this, Leo's brother became extremely prideful about being a pure-blooded Ancestral Vampire and blah blah.

After the fight between the Demon Lords and the Hero, (He apparently also had like 6 other girls in his party making it an even fight. Luna probably wouldn't remember them though because most female harem members felt empty and would become shallow over time.)

His brother then pushed the blame all over to the Hybrids and voila! A thousand years later was apparently more than enough, surprisingly. That's about 4 Demon generation depending on their lifespan but the higher-ups usually had at least 750 years, right?

"Don't you remember? They only fought him and his one by one, saying something about being the 'Elite Four', the '16 (In total) Department Heads and Vice Heads' and whatever."

"..."

"*Sigh*..."

"Let's go find a place to stay the night. We can get our identification papers tomorrow."

Luna agreed and they exited the cafe and stayed the night in a nearby inn.
