1 Chapter One

Breathy moans trailed from her parted lips. The scent of alcohol and sex clouded the air. Booming music muffled once the door was slammed shut. She let out a hiss as he pressed her against the cold marbled walls.

"Tristen...please, I'm not ready." A low growl vibrated against her wet neck. His clawed hands dragged over her hips scraping against the rough material of her jeans. His wet kisses trailed towards her cleavage.

"Laurina, come on I've waited long enough." He whispered against her supple chest.

"No, no, you know I can't." Her fingers sank into his short silver locks and pulled him away from her chest. His golden gaze, the sign of his elite heritage narrowed. Tristen scoffed and pressed his hip against her. His hands smoothed down her sides and gripped her bottom giving her a harsh squeeze before lifting her to his eye level.

"You're quite spoiled you know, just because you are the prince of the West doesn't mean I have to bend to your will."

"Feh whatever, Rina." His rough responses and gestures clashed with the title he held. "You know damn well I didn't have that easy lavish life like that bastard."

Laurina sighed. "He's still your brother and the Lord."

"Why are we even talking about this?" He signed. "Now I'm not in the mood."

Rina rolled her eyes. 'That was the point.' Tristen's hands slid to her waist and let her down, her heels reached the floor. Even in four inch heels she couldn't meet his eyes. He was a whole six feet one inch while her five foot four just barely reached his shoulder.

Tristen growled as he pulled out his cell from his back pocket. "Come on let's go, Michael keeps texting me."

The raging music hit them as soon as they opened the door. Flickering neon lights glided over the crowd. Tristen came to a sudden stop forcing Laurina to bump into his back.

"Hey why'd you stop?" she asked.

Tristen continued to stare at the private booths to their left then shook his head. Laurina turned to see what caught his attention.

"Nothing, come on." he snatched her wrist and pulled her across the dance floor.

Her attraction to Tristen was undeniable but his past relationship made her doubt him. His last relationship made Laurina doubt his motives. Kimberly was her cousin as well as his ex-girlfriend. That alone didn't sit well with her. Rina accepted Tristen for what he was a halfbreed. Half human and half demon yet Kimberly never fully accepted his demon side. Just like Kimberly, Laurina had the ability to purify a demon but Laurina accepted everyone as they were while Kimberly was a different story. But Tristen still went after her like a dog in heat and that was exactly who they just saw in the VIP booth.
