19 Chapter Nineteen

"That's a lie, he is a full blooded demon, it is not possible." Damien growled. He lightly sniffed the air to decipher the pup's unique smell.

'He did indeed smell like her and…me?!' his thoughts screamed as his beast tried to take control of him once again.

"How is this possible?!…Woman explain now how he is my pup?!" Damien snarled red began to seep into his amber eyes.

At Damien's statement the little boy turned around to face him, both stared at each other wide eyes and speechless.

'His eyes are like hers.'

The pup had markings on his cheeks signifying him as a powerful demon in the making. He would be his heir, Damien approached the pup once he was within an arm's reach a barrier was erected around him.

"Don't touch him," Rina warned before she stood up and walked in front of Nathaniel blocking him from Damien's sight.

"Nathaniel go play in the field, Sarah and Michael will take you there."

Nathaniel only nodded in response, as much as he wanted to stay with his mother he knew to obey his mothers words or there would be trouble. He walked over towards Sarah and Michael's tense forms. He looked between his mother and the intimidating demon then turned away.

"Are you sure about this Rina?" Sarah asked hoping she'd say no.

Rina nodded in response but kept her eyes on Damien.

"It's okay Sarah, leave with Michael and Nathaniel."

A groan to their left pulled their attention. Tristen rolled over and coughed, blood trickled down his chin. He quickly wiped his mouth and stood up only to fall against the tree. It let Rina know just how hard Damien had hit him. Tristen's body trembled as he pushed away from the tree and stood on his own. His eyes flashed red before they turned back to their normal gold hue.

"Rina!"

Rina kept her eyes on Damien.

"You too Tristen leave, I'm serious." Tristen flinched at her words then turned his attention to his brother. Damien didn't bother to look; he continued to stare at the woman before him.

He struggled internally with what he was seeing and smelling. The clear connection to the boy and woman was obvious. Yet he held no memory of ever having a sexual encounter with her. The only words they ever exchanged was in disagreement due to his fights with Tristen. His hands curled into fists as Tristen limped closer.

Tristen snarled. "This isn't over." he muttered then let his eyes roam over Rina's form when he passed her.

Witnessing his younger brother's roaming eyes sent a chill to the pit of his stomach. Suddenly an unreasonable amount of anger boiled over, a reaction he did not understand. Rina shifted in front of him. The long sleeve shirt pulled slightly to the side revealing the edge of a scar on her neck. Damien had to stop himself from physically reacting.

Rina saw a gash on Tristen's forehead as he walked by her but didn't say anything. Tristen finally left but not before threatening Damien's life if he hurt Rina in any way he would kill him.

Once the group left there was a long period of silence between them. Damien broke the silence.

"Explain how I have a pup without my knowledge, and you, a human that has never been intimate with me birthed a pup. A full blooded demon at that."

Again there was a long pause of silence before Rina spoke.

"When was the last time you…lost control?"

"Do not speak in riddles, woman you test my patience."

"When was the last time you lost control of your beast?"

"What does that have to-" Damien stopped suddenly as he thought back to that very day.

Images began to flash through his mind. The hot spring-Rina's form- her under him denying his touch slowly turned into moans of pleasure. He explored her body like no other, he made her reach her peak so many times he lost count. A shudder passed through him.

Damien's eyes widened in realization at what he did, what his beast did. Such a disgraceful and dishonorable act was committed by the Lord Of the Western Land's the very demon that enforced these laws.

'The emotions, they were hers.' His eyes went wide again, he said nothing as he relived the night his beast took over.

Rina took this as a sign of recognition, he remembered that very day where Nathaniel, her innocent son, was conceived.

"I…I-forgive me," Damien whispered.

Rina's breath hitched, Damien was a demon of few words. A proud male that would never admit to any wrongdoing. Yet here he was asking her to forgive him.

"It's okay there's nothing to forgive, it wasn't your fault your beast took over it was not your decision…" she shook her head. "Besides I don't regret having Nathaniel that's for sure-"

"Nathaniel…that's his name?"

"Yes…"

Again an uncomfortable silence stretched between them.

"Would you like to meet him I mean, I know you saw him but I mean talk to him?…"

"Yes"

"Okay then follow me please." Rina spoke softly.
