60 Chapter 9 (2): Preparing to leave

The party ended without much of anything interesting happening, and rumors spread across the capital more or less instantly afterwards, for good and ill. The good part was that people stopped laughing at our party name, the ill was... well, I had several people try to kill me every day for a while. Even that could be seen as a good thing, as it was a way to identify the rogue elements in the city. Speaking of which, we quickly decided to return to the demon lands to escape from all of that. Sure, it's a little fun to beat up those trying to kill us (still not an S), but it gets old fast. Levia's entourage, by the way, had already returned to the demon lands a while back, so we decided to bring her back with us. She'd just been hanging around us awkwardly, as she was a bit nervous about being in the human lands alone.

"Are you sure you can't stay longer? I'm starting to fall in love with you, in addition to Haru..." (Cecilia)

"As much as I enjoy the change of pace that your small breasts provide, I can't say the feeling is mutual. Ah, damn, why is it that everyone in my harem has mammothian mammaries, when I like the little ones just as much? Why is it that mine are the smallest in the group, at their natural size?" (Ryuu)

"Because-" (Haru)

"Don't say it, I know. I'm just a bit miffed that, even without that, mine are still the smallest. Even Mae's were bigger than mine, I'm a natural washboard!" (Ryuu)

"What's gotten into you? You're not usually like this" (Mae)

"Pent-up frustration?" (Tuare)

"Bah! I don't need to hear that from the one who always has pent-up frustrations of a different kind!" (Ryuu)

"For the last time, I'm not a nymphomaniac!" (Tuare)

"Miniature Ryuu with wings, horns, and a wolf's ears and tail, but silver" (Cecilia)

Tuare ran inside with a red face, dragging the two nearest people, Haru and myself, into our room for one last use of the bed... and wall... and a few other things. Half an hour later, we emerged, and to the amusement of those waiting, Haru had to carry Tuare on her back due to how sore her hips were... though they evidently weren't sore enough to make her not try to hump Haru's gloriously fluffy and sensitive tail in her stupor.

"Now, shall we actually leave?" (Ryuu)

"Yes... haa... aahhhh... let's... do so" (Haru)

"Since we want to get there fast, how about you all ride on my back?" (Ver)

A maid walking past the room poked her head in, saw that it was Ver speaking, and laughed for a moment, before returning to her work. Nobody else noticed, I think, and it wasn't worth mentioning, so I promptly forgot about it.

"You sure you can handle all of us, including Levia? And for that distance?" (Ryuu)

"I'm sure. I've been growing a lot, recently... I've had to adjust my size for a while, because there is a limit on how large my current armor can get" (Ver)

"Then why don't we take care of that first? It shouldn't take long, after all" (Ryuu)

"A decently talented enchanter... could probably do it in... three or four hours... I think. With Haru's name... as the third princess... you could probably find... one that could do it faster" (Elise)

"Winrose made my ring change to fit in five minutes, so she might be a good choice. Actually, that reminds me, it'd be best if the enchanter was a beastkin, so that they'd be more likely to keep my secret, you know, a secret, when asked to do so" (Ver)

Yeah... you know... Ver's armor is a bit too revealing in her human form. Why don't we get that changed too...

"Alternatively, we could go to my father and ask for his recommendation" (Mae)

"Souta might know as well, since he specializes in this sort of thing" (Ryuu)

We went and asked all three, and they all pointed us to the same place: Maw and Paw Armor Shop. When we got there (by way of dealing with seven would-be assassins) we were greeted by a foxkin and a red wolfkin.

"Welcome! What can we do for you today? Custom armor? An enchanted bag? A-" (Foxkin)

"Down, girl... Sorry about my wife, it's rare for us to have new customers, so she's a bit excited" (Wolfkin)

"Not a problem. You make armor like this, right? Could you make a larger version, maybe out of this?" (Ryuu)

I handed him Ver's bracelet, the one that can transform into form-fitting leather armor, and then a large amount of a dragon's scales, but mixed and matched from the three dragons we killed, which were blue, red, and purple.

"This is... for a wyvern? I take it you're a summoner? Ah, we never exchanged names. I'm Hans, this is my wife, Dianne. What are your names?" (Wolfkin)

"Indeed, it's for a wyvern. My name is Ryuu, these are my wives, Haru, Char, and Mae, and my fiancees, Elise and Tuare. It's a pleasure to meet you" (Ryuu)

"I... It's a pleasure to meet you, your majesty. Yes, we can make this armor. Could you summon the wyvern so we can take measurements, for the sake of getting the right proportions?" (Foxkin)

We went to the outdoor tanning area behind the shop, cleared it out for a bit, and then I summoned Ver, who'd been waiting for a while in my subspace. They took several dozen measurements, wrote them down, and then the foxkin sketched out a few designs for us to look at. We picked one, and they told us to come back in a day.

Meanwhile, we went to a weapon shop, to replace Haru's swords and Elise's bow. After picking the best ones they had, we just wandered for a while, picked out some new clothes to wear, because our wardrobes were somewhat lacking, and then heard about an underground fight area called the Demon's Cage. Since it was about fights to the death, it wasn't legal, and we were perfectly within our rights, or rather, it was our duty, to crash the party and end it.
