Chattering and clinking glasses filled the atmosphere in the family restaurant where Lai Mingjie took them for lunch. It was only halfway the day, but he was already feeling exhausted. They had been to a dozen stores to buy things, and items were still on Han Tianshi's list. Xu Rouguang didn't complain as well since he was finding a lot of things to buy Lai Mingjie. 'Buy' was word Lai Mingjie would use even if he was the one paying for all of these. He even ended up maxing one of his cards. How could his father keep up with his mother's shopping spree the entire time they were overseas?

Of course, the food would be Han Tianshi's treat. She was discussing animatedly with Xu Rouguang about what to eat while Lai Mingjie was so close to sprawling on his seat and sleeping nonetheless.
