56 One Year Later

After winning the war against the centaurs, Dai stayed on Earth with Yu and his army. They build a fortress to keep enemies out. Dai still wasn't aware of Yu's worries of him not loving her anymore because of her scars. As Dai was patrolling the area, he caught Trelawney and Eli staring at each other in worry. As he knew that they were worried about something, he rushed towards them and he landed beside Trelawney. "Dad." She greeted. Eli was looking pale and frightened.

"What's wrong you two?" He asked, wanting to see Trelawney's worries. Her mouth suddenly felt dry. How could she tell him this! She was worried about his reaction.

"King Dai, we have gotten closer over the past couple of months." Eli started to explain to Dai. Dai immeditately got what they were trying to tell him and he grinned at them.

"Are you guys having a baby?" He guessed and Trelawney's jaw dropped.

"You k-knew?" She whimpered.

"No, I took a guess. The both of you seemed nervous, so I figured you were pregnant." Dai answered honestly. "And, besides, you two are married." He added, making them blush at that. They should be past the blushing stage since they're married, but oh well. It's cute. He thought, smiling at Trelawney and Eli. He wondered what their baby was going to look like.

He then sensed Yu's distress and he told them to excuse him. He rushed towards his wife's location. When he found her, she was crying her eyes out. "Yu, what's wrong?" He asked her. Yu immediately went Lightning Maxina form and she started to fight Dai. Dai didn't want to hurt Yu, but as he kept on dodging her, he realized that she had pent up stress and sadness to get rid of. He started to fight back, making Yu somewhat happy.

"You understand that I wanted to fight." Yu's mood was slowly looking up, but she was still upset about something, Dai could tell. He wanted to ask, but he knew that Yu would tell him when they finished their battle. Yu had known that Trelawney was pregnant, she could smell it, but she could also smell herself. She hadn't realized until this morning and she freaked.

"Of course, I do. You are my lovely, sweet wife, after all." Dai answered, making Yu's mood grow more happier. Yu was glad that Dai understood her stress, but she knew that he deserved an explanation.

"I knew Trelawney was pregnant, but she's not the only one." Yu says, rushing at Dai. Dai was shocked by the statement that he grabbed Yu by her sides gently and inspected her stomach.

"Our kid is in there?" Dai was shocked. He had forgotten that the nights they had spent together, had been to rid of stress. Never in his life did he imagine that he would have a child by the most lovely woman in the world.

"Do you think I'm ugly?" Yu ignored his question to ask her question. Dai stared at her in shock and Yu took off her shirt, revealing two scars on her otherwise unmarked skin. Dai ran a hand over both scars, causing Yu to sigh in relief at his touch.

"Did you think that I would see you as ugly with the scars?" He asked softly. Yu turned away from Dai and Dai's heart fell. He didn't think to realize that Yu would be self-conscious about the scars she had received and he felt guilty for not realizing it sooner.
