4 the world of scarlet

the task that was given to them was very simple , to exterminate a dark guild that had been causing havoc across a small town,

after taking the train , yuuji and erza had arrived at the town to find that the town was completely deserted, this immediately raised warning bells in yuuji's head, the duo proceeded to watch their surrounding and arrived at the clients home, this had been the trap that yuuji had sensed before,

immediately , countless runes created a very complex blockade which sealed away ether nano in erza, fortunately, yuuji did not use ether nano and was uneffected, but he pretended to subdued as well to find out their enemies true motives,

"to think that the plan actually worked, good work you three" said a hooded man as he started walking towards the duo followed by three people with a tattoo of the snake ,

"the treacherous snake??" erza exclaimed at the mark revealing the identity of the dark guild, immediately pieces started falling in place for yuuji,

"so, i take it that the weakling in the robe is a survivor of the grim reapers??" he said startling the man who then began to laugh,

"that's right, and i am here with our allies the treacherous snake to kill you and avenge my brother you killed when you raided my base, as for the girl, well, we were lacking in entertainment anyway" he said as he stared at erza lustfully much to her disgust,

"even after my punishment , you did not change your ways, very well, i shall show you what it means to be afraid" he said as suddenly blue flames struck the trio of dark mages who were turned to ash immediately, but the moment it struck the hooded man it was absorbed much to yuuji's fascination and erza's horror, the man then grinned and said,

"like my new magic??, i had to undergo a procedure that almost killed me to obtain enough power to kill you, i got this power especially for you!!" he said and then started using his new magic,

"fire devil's rage!!" he sahouted as a stream of purple flame went towards yuuji and erza, but in the last moment yuuji managed to deflect the attack, erza who was still effected by the runes had no way but to watch helplessly as her guild-mate protected her,

the battle went on for a long time until finally the man seemed to be almost on the verge of defeat, it was then that he grinned viciously and said,

"you may dodge my abilities but what about this??" he said as he fired a particularly strong flame bullet at the immobile erza , yuuji who saw his friend in danger immediately teleported to her and tried to get her away , but before he took her away the bullet struck him in the back which completely cooked his back, he fell down onto the ground unconcious,

"hahahaha!!!, you fell for my trap" the man laughed as erza watched yuuji with hollow eyes,

she had once again failed to protect those dear to her, she had once again failed to protect her friend, in her eyes , the immobile form of yuuji was replaced with rob and many of her other friends from the tower,

a tremendous amount of magic flooded the place as strange markings started appearing on the ground, but before she could take action the laughing mad was silenced when he felt a hand on his shoulder ,

the man turned around to find a sight that would haunt his soul even after his death,

yuuji was standing behind him, completely uninjured and his clothes completely fine, the stunned man turned around to find that the yuuji on the ground evaporated into air revealing to be a clone,

"you who have gone to such depths of darkness are unworthy of this life" yuuji said as the stunned erza saw the world around them turn crimson,

the rocks , the ground, the sky , the world itself had turned red with the power of his flames,

a world of scarlet was born from his raging flames,

the dark mage had long since turned to ash and revealed the form of yuuji standing victorious and completely unscathed , his black hair was swaying in the wind, his blue eyes glowed with unmeasured power,

"are you alri-" before he could say anything more he was punched in the stomach by erza,

"what th-" he was then hugged by her, when he was about to push her away and ask what was going on , he felt her form tremble as his shirt started to get wet, he just stayed there until she calmed down and had a heavy blush as she glared at him,

"you tell anyone about what happened and you are dead!!" she said to which yuuji showed a amused smile, she then asked,

"was the one that got attacked a clone ??" she said to which yuuji nodded while erza sighed, happy to know that he wasnot injure because of her, but if she had just focused for a single moment , she would have seen the back of his shirt waver slightly as if it was an illusion , under which a severe burn was healing at a rapid pace as if time itself was being reversed
