6 Is this where life gets better?

Alice rushed out the door once she gave Bethany and Christian instructions. Did something happen to sweet Cynthia? Once I got in the car I asked, " Hey, Alice... What happened to Cynthia?" She froze. Her smile fell. She seemed devastated.

"C- Cynthia she... she killed herself..." Tears rolled down her cheek. She started the car and we rode in silence. We pulled up to a tall building on wall street. I've knew she worked here but I dont know why I was being brought along.

"Uhm, Hailey... so I know I didnt tell you where we were headed off to but I work at a modeling agency and I think you'd be the perfect model." I stood there shocked. I didn't know what was going on.

"Um yea... ok..." I said as I walked into the building. We spent a while in her office as she filed papers. She seemed so stressed and down. Then finally she said...

"Come Hailey. We are gonna go to my boss." Oh god her boss?! I was freaking out. I was just a regular 19 year old. I didnt have what it took to be a model. As we went up the elevator my heart seem to race and time seemed to slow.

"Hailey, are you okay?" She looked at me concerned.
