I even got a title and my overall abilities were now clearly B-Class but first of all I want to know what this weird announcement was.
I checked my status multiple times but nothing came into my mind. ,
But what did change? The sword! I took the sword with me. But is that possible?'
I took the sword in hand and my mind was filled with the sword's abilities as it could change its form to a bow, a scythe, a shield, a spear, and a gauntlet.
, Wow that is somewhat surprising to me'
But as I saw this sword in action I was a little bit cautious but as I held it for a while did, practice swings and even poured mana into it and nothing happened I deemed it as safe for the time being but I will keep an eye on it.
Afterwards I put on my clothes and went to Neria who was already awake and awaited me
„Morning did you got some rest?"
She asked with concern in her voice as I was in an extremely live threatening situation since a long time
„I am feeling quite well just went overboard again. Well, who would think a goblin king can be this strong. By the way with the last attack I was able to cut out the magic stone" I said so presenting the stone of the goblin king I took with me
„Nice we can sell it by the guild. So why do you carry that cursed sword with you"
She asked as she saw the blade on my hip
„I took it with me and apparently it has no negative effects on me. Who knows why it reacted this way with the goblin"
I said to her but she didn´t calmed down at all she made even more of a ruckus how irresponsible I am and so on till Isaac came
„Excuse me but would you like to have breakfast?" he asked but I turned him down
„Sorry but we will soon leave for Mirialak" as I said these words he dropped his shoulders
„I can´t convince you to stay longer?" he said and Neria answered in my stead
„Yes, as sad as it is we left our village with the goal to be adventurers. We just came passing by and helped you out"
She said with the most polite tone I ever heard from anyone and Isaac looked at us
„What a shame to let so strong people leave. Well I tried my best but apparently, it can´t be helped then is there anything else we can do for you"
He expressed his regret and gratitude but since nothing came in our mind we left after saying goodbye and headed for the city
It actually took us 3 days to reach Mirialak as we exterminated the last goblins we found on the way.
And man the city was quite big with a population of at least 5000 it was one of the bigger cities. Nerias eyes started sparkling at the sight of the city and wanted to explore a bit first before heading to the adventurers guild and so it was noon as we finally reached the adventurers guild which was empty because most adventurers were out doing quests and so we went to the reception where a cat-beast girl greeted us
„Hello you two how can I help you," she said and the looked at me
"Wait are you a dhampir?" I nodded and she became even more curious
„Am I such a rarity that even professionals lose their composure?" I asked her and snapped her out of her curiosity
„Sorry for this unsightly sight of mine.0 So how may I help you?"
She said going back to her professional nature
„We want to be adventurers," Neria said with a somewhat cold voice as the receptionist still mustered me with her eyes
„Yes here are the documents. Come again if you finish filling it out or need help with it"
She said and left us alone with the formulas which we quickly filled out and after that everything went quite fast
„So as we are finished I wish to sell this magic stone"
I said placing the kings magic stone before her and she couldn´t trust her eyes as she evaluated the stone even calling a college for a second opinion before coming to us again
„This is a goblin king´s magic stone could you please give us the details of how you got this?"
She asked with a serious face unbefitting to her and so we explained what happened
„Fascinating everything was true"
A man said from above
„Sub-Guildmaster?!"
The receptionist said in surprise the man came down to us and introduced himself
„Good day my name is Talior as you already heard I´m the sub guild master here and I must say you two are fascinating," he said
He was an elf and had blond hair which covered one of his blue eyes with which he stared at us intensely
„I decided! I will let you instantly promote to C-Class adventurers. Even through I know your much stronger but this is all I am able to do as of now"
He said which a cheeky smile
„That was fast" I said while Neria was left speechless and Talior laughed
„Haha, what did you expected this goblin is the first in our history that reached Rank 7 and a king on top of that if I could do that I would make you B-class. But for this, you have not enough achievements yet. But I recognize you as equal to B-Class so don´t let your head hang"
He laughed even louder and both Neria and I became totally speechless but Neria snapped back into reality
„We thank you for this promotion so while you´re here could you give us a tip where we could hunt monsters as of now?"
She asked and Talior smiled so hard it was creepy
„The dungeon close to the city while it is a C-Class dungeon no one has cleared it since 10 years and the last one that cleared it was an A-Class party so you two could give it a try"
He said and I spoke up
„What is so difficult within the dungeon an A-class party was necessary to clear it?"
At my question, an old adventurer who sat in the corner spoke up before Talior could
„The last floor has a mountain resembling the boundary mountain range blocking the way. In order to reach the boss and the treasury you need to surpass this mountain but you will be under attack the entire time and many people died trying. So many people stop at this floor"
He said with a heavy voice and then looked back into his alcohol without saying anything after that
„You heard it while all who tried it died I´m sure you two can surpass it. After all the enemies are only C-class"
He smiled again, man do you want us to die or what is with that smile'
„So Neria you heard it should we give it a try," I said and I already had an idea how to cross this mountain
„Oh, dear goddess be with me. He has a weird idea again" she said at my smile
„It´s not weird just uncommon" I replied
„In other words weird considering it´s your idea I should rather say utter madness" she gave back
„We will decide that later. Now let´s prepare somethings we could need and some emergency equipment"
I ordered and left the guild accidentally leaving Neria behind
„Now I´m truly afraid what he has in mind," Neria said and Talior laughed again
„If you survive please tell me"
His voice got excited and Neria left the guild to go after me.
In Taliors room
„Truly interesting adventurers have come here. Hopefully they prove to be useful to us"
he said and a voice replied
„We will see" and the presence left again leaving no sign anyone was ever there.
