1 a friendly danger

" Awakened in the middle of the night by the blaring sirens, a sound so strong and so sharp. Deep in the darkness of my room, I can hear the piercing steps of people running in the hallway. The ear spitting screams of every habitant were echoed in the four same walls I have lived in for 17 years. It was plain and clear that a fire broke out. But I, I couldn't help, I couldn't help but lay on my bed not able to make one single move. I've always seen this coming. A fire inside our underground shelter, and the sun burning our over ground, the Earth. The earth is burning. That's what we were told. We never got to see the Earth, the sky, the forests, feel the fresh air on our skin, and touch the soil. No! not even see the deadly sun ourselves. We have all the pictures of nature, all these stories about our race, our grandpas' finest journeys, and our families before us but we, we don't get to do anything, we're stuck here with all these Perfect Strangers. Maybe we deserve this. Maybe, they shouldn't stop the fire. Maybe it was destined all along. Maybe this place should have never existed and that we were never meant to live this life." Emily Franz.

" Execute the protocol now! It's happening again! " Those were the words of one of our leaders, Amy Charlaine. Sometimes I wonder why these people still have hope for life. One of the main engines has been broken and it has broken the peace in here with it. People are panicking. They don't know what to do, but still, they're trying their best to stop the fire. It's only about time that the second engine will stop working and we will have no air to breathe. Three engineers lost their lives today, trying to save ours. One of them is my friend's Father, Jeremy Monty.

Right when Adwin, his son, was told about the passing of his father, he was paralyzed, not really. It turned out he escaped from the bunker, not bad. I'm happy for him. They said we still have five years ahead of us until the surface will be safe, no more harmful radiation.

Adwin is weak. He loved me, but I was stone-cold. I couldn't care less. He's a nice person, he had those golden eyes that I really liked. I was just too busy. My head never stops spinning. My mom is busy too, she's a scientist with a skeleton crew. Always busy. Clementine, my mum was never there for me. She always said, when I talk to her about how I feel, "you'll understand one day." and to be honest, I'm not sure if she did herself.

The electricity generator was shut down. It appears. They were able to tackle the fire, but they have bigger problems to think of. The damage has spread to the containers, and we are critically low on supplies. And the agricultural facility was terribly destroyed, and the team must go on a run. They will step on the Earth's surface for the first time in nearly 70 years. Charlaine had a big heart. She couldn't live with herself knowing Adwin is exposed. She desperately wanted to help, and the co-leader Felix refused to risk the lives of his crew. So, she went looking herself. Not surprising at all, Adwin hasn't gone far. She brought him back, with her charming protective suit. Something was wrong with Adwin. He didn't feel the same. He didn't look the same. And it turned out my feeling was right. On the second night of this tragedy, Adwin woke up, his eyes didn't look the same they were somewhere between yellow and red, covered in veins, his mouth moved obnoxiously, and his teeth became monstrous. All I can remember of that night is Jessica, his sister, screaming and hollering. My body felt that so hard. It was so intense that even my body heard it. I was shaking. I've felt something for the first time. It was strong.
