22 The Competition: Chaos In The Village
The racing atmosphere getting more intense and heavy each time when the Racers moves toward the Last Stage.
"Weapon number one and number two are ready. Take the left side road," Lexi said and she pointed toward the left road.
Orange turned the steering wheel to the left.
Right now, they are already inside the village, where there are many big and small abandoned building.
Lexi look at the Camera Monitor and saw two racing cars are moving toward them in fast speed.
Lexi pressed another hologram button from the hologram screen and moves toward the weapon system controls.
"The car behind is ready to shoot. Avoid it!" Lexi warned Orange as she activates the weapon system.
Orange quickly entered the right lane with a sharp turn.
The car behind them quickly enters the same lane. At the same time, under the car, a machine gun emerged and repeatedly shooting at Orange's car back.
"Shit!" Orange cursed as she pressed on the accelerator.
Lexi shifted the weapon controls and use the machine gun to fire back at the car.
In every turn, Orange used a sharp turn to avoid every attack from the car which chasing them from behind.
"Did you think you can run away from me, bitch!" said Freddlie, the Racer who keep chasing Orange from behind. His co-driver keep shooting at them using the machine gun.
Seeing how Orange still want to escape and always speeding up to run away from them, Freddlie become angry. "Toby, change the tu to rocket missile. Use the Fire Rock Missile! We must stop her here, might as well kill her today!"
Toby, the co-driver only nodded and quickly pressed onto the weapon controls.
The Fire Rock Missile was activated and aimed at Orange's car.
"Shit, they using rocket missile. Orange, keep speeding up!" Lexi said as she turn to the other hologram screen.
Lexi touched the hologram screen beside her. She pressed onto the holographic keyboard and activated a new machine systems.
After Toby pressed the button to launch the long-range missile, three of the Fire Rock Missile flew off fast through the air toward Orange's car.
Orange take a sharp turn to the left side, entering the left road.
One of the missile hit a house, exploded directly after the hit. The impact from the Fire Rock Missile was too heavy; a huge cloud forms in the air addition with every pieces of wooden scrambles everywhere.
There are still two more Fire Rock Missile chasing after them.
Lexi moved the control machine to launch another weapon and shoot at the missile.
The bullets hit one of the missile, leading to another huge explosion.
The last missile almost hit the car but then Orange take another sharp turn.
The missile hit another house, making another huge explosion.
Lexi looked at Orange. "That's a good turn. Now, we have to speed more to the finishing line."
"Roger that, Captain."
Suddenly, another random shots take a hit onto Orange's car.
Lexi checked on the hologram screen. "It is from another Racer. We got more Racers tailing us now."
[You have to deal with them or else, you can't reach the finishing line. Head toward south road.]
Once again, Orange turned the steering wheel, heading toward the south road.
The cars from behind keep tailing them and shoots nonstop at them.
Unfortunately, another racing car suddenly hit a small house, making a large hole and then, drove side by side with Orange's.
Orange took a glance toward the car and looked at the number written on the car body. "It is the car with number 33... They hasn't die from the previous stage? Interesting!"
The racing car with number 33 moving to the left, hitting Orange's car with a hard pressure.
The car sway a bit to the left but still manage to drives stable on the road.
Orange used the same method to hit the number 33 racing car.
Then, another explosion right next to them appears but it didn't distract Orange to keep driving.
Two racing cars, driving side by side, hitting each other hoping for the other party to shoves out from the road while the two other racing cars chasing from behind, seeking opportunity to attack using weapons.
The racing car with number 33 hit Orange's car with double force than before and this time, unexpectedly the car sway to the left and bumped into a small cabin.
The cabin collapsed after the collision but Orange's car still moving forward with the same speed.
"Fuck!" Lexi pressed the small button at the hologram screen in front of her.
Another small rocket missile launched, aimed directly at the number 33 racing car.
The rocket missile hit right to the car engine, leading to an explosion.
[That's a good move, Captain... But you still have two more problems. You have to get rid of the two cars behind you.]
"I know." Lexi replied with a nonchalant face. She keep typing and pressing onto all the hologram screen around her, moving from one hologram screen to another with a fast speed.
"We can't stop them with missile or machine gun. They can avoid it but won't stop chasing us. We have to come up with another plan!" Orange said as she peeked a glance toward the person beside her.
"Don't worry, I will think a plan for this!" Lexi replied again while showing his mischievous smile.
Lexi continued to search and checking every types of weapons in system.
Suddenly, her fingers stop at one of the hologram screen.
The hologram screen shows a picture of two huge metal arrow, connected into a long black rope.
Lexi touched the screen. She looked at the road to look for something. Then, she looked at the Camera Monitor to look at the two racing cars behind them.
Lexi pressed onto the hologram screen in front of her.
Two arrows that connected with ropes appear at the back of the racing car. The two arrows shoot out to the left and right direction, hitting the house walls. The sharp metal arrows piercing through the walls and when the forces from the racing car pulls the rope, the car drags the house from both side to the road, making a big shield for Orange's car.
This big shield making the other Racers left stunned. They didn't expect for Lexi to use two houses as their shield.
When Orange enter a narrow road, the two houses couldn't fit inside. So, Lexi pressed another button again to cut off the rope from the car.
Because the house prevent other racing cars to enter the road, the previous cars which chasing Orange before stop immediately.
When they realized that they cannot chasing Orange anymore, they cursed angrily. They quickly drives their cars out from there to find another way.
"Nice plan. They couldn't catch up with us anymore!" said Orange. A wide smile appears on her lips.
"We only managed to get out from them but we still have to go the finishing line. Speed up!" Lexi only replied without looking at Orange.
[10 more kilometers from the finishing line. Hurry up! There are another opponents almost reaches there.]
Lexi opened another hologram screen and show it to Orange. "Use this map. We have to use the shortcut!"
Orange nodded. She changes the gear and pressed on the accelerator.
After five kilometers, they managed to get out from the Last Stage and now on the way to the finishing line.
[You guys are the number one in rank right now but don't get distract. There are two more cars tailing you from far behind but they can't chase you guys.]
[Ah, no... One of the cars are speeding up. You guys have to hurry.]
Lexi touched her communication device. "Alright, got it, Lans."
Lexi give a signal to Orange with a single glance anr Orange quickly understand it. Thus, she hit the accelerator to the maximum volume.
From far away, Lexi and Orange can see the finishing line.
The finishing line is the same place where the starting line is. There are many peoples standing beside the road, ready to cheer the first Racer that arrives at the finishing line.
"Lans, show me the map consist of the other Racers."
[Okey, Captain. Here you go.]
Lexi quickly opened the map which consist many red dots on it. The red dots means the other Racers that was still behind them.
Lexi look at the time and the distance between Orange's car and the other cars.
After that, Lexi pressed onto one of the hologram weapon system and activating a time bombs.
This time bombs is not a normal one that usually used by people from 21st century. Lexi knew about this after she checked the details.
When time bombs exploded, it will produced many kind of explosion. Some of them produce a big clouded that would turn into ice while some of them would produce a very big fire explosion.
The time bombs was been dropped to the ground one by one with different timing.
Orange saw how Lexi installed all the time bombs with different time but she didn't say anything. She knows that this is something related to her plan.
After a few minutes, the other Racers also managed to exited the Last Stage and droves faster to the finishing line.
What they didn't know was that the time bombs which Lexi dropped before suddenly exploded, making some of the Racers become panic.
A few of the racing cars suddenly get hit by the time bomb. If their cars got hit by the Ice Time Bomb, the cars would be freeze into ice after the explosion.
There are several of the Racers managed to avoid the explosion but they have to stop for a few seconds because of the repeatedly explosion but that few seconds already making them left far behind.
Even though several of them stopped, there is one racing car that didn't stop and it keep moving forward, ignoring all the explosion around it.
This Racers only adding into the car speed before he reach a few kilometers from Orange's car.
However, since Orange already at the front, leading other racing cars to the finishing line, the Racer who want to keep up, couldn't chase them anymore.
Therefore, the one who become the first winner is Orange and Lexi.
Everyone from the side road cheering for the winner. They raised up their hands to the air and cheers loudly.
Orange stay still even after they already going through the finishing line. She look at the front, where all the audiences were cheering for them.
After that, Orange looked at Lexi who was smiling. She couldn't describe her feeling right now.
"We won. We got the first prize."
The cyborg machine from before quickly appeared in front of everyone's eyes.
"Congratulation to our first winner!"
The crowds cheers louder than before.
