46 Forged By Death

After explaining what will happen over the next few weeks I head back to the other necropolis. I tell the now three acquainted lich to go and set up the other half of the portal at the Ebon Hold. I head into my study and begin filling my mana reserves striving to hit the max my body can currently handle.

It feels as though I am unable to reach my max. It is a curse and a blessing at the same time. While filling my mana reserves the first time will take a long time after the first the rest will be easier. I should also study the Shadowlands more since there is an entire section I cannot visit.

Not only that I can feel the power of a God from within that section. With my obscured view I am unable to properly tell how strong they are. I also plan to begin strengthening my body by further attuning myself with death. Unlike my last world, the veil seems incredibly thin making power easier to gain.

I seal the door to my study as I begin to feel my power reaching a pinnacle.

In my last world, Nito said I was always the strongest attuned to the powers of even him who created it. I can feel it, Death is close to me at all times. Is that why I was brought back?

'If I had been the one who picked up the soul perhaps I could have saved us from the path of destruction.' I shake the thought as I continue to pull mana to fuel my reserves.

With my soul being so powerful due to the portion of Nito's soul never leaving me I am at a huge advantage. If I can grab the souls of stronger dead God's I could perhaps become strong enough to destroy worlds like the so-called 'Titan's'.

No matter how strong I get right now I can't handle a beast whose body is the size of a continent. I need more. I can feel my body is beginning on its way to becoming something more.

I open my eyes as I fuse the raw mana coming into my body with the powers of death. I can feel my blood boil and my bones crack as they break and reform. My cold blue eyes are filled with a radiant black and cyan light.

There are many paths available to one on the journey through death's gates. Lich, Blood lickers, celestial, blight bringers, lickers of life's boots, and many others... I will forge my own path, that of a God.

The light in my eyes stops shining and my vision clears. I stand up straight feeling my body creak and crack as I roll my neck hearing pop after pop as I do. I look at my arms and withdraw my ill-fitting armor into my miasma.

My skin is no longer light ivory, instead, it is a pale snow white with my black veins barely visible beneath the surface. My hair grew a few inches and is now hanging down just between my shoulder blades.

I grip my hand tightly as I feel the air itself tense around my fist. I can feel the powers of death are coursing through my muscles as if copper running electricity. My body itself is now producing its own powers of death. I am no longer only channeling the powers of death.

I close my eyes focusing on my soul, to my surprise Nito's soul has been completely swallowed by my soul now it is no longer like a twin soul. It burns even larger than Gwyn's soul. It has been quenched by death and decay.

I open my eyes and look around the room a bit surprised that I now stand a foot taller than I used to, I now almost match Gwyn's stature when he was in his prime. I may need to learn a body manipulation spell. I am currently too tall to even fit through a mortal doorway.

Seeing the power of death naturally radiating off my hands I am glad I faced Darion before I forged my body. I may have crushed his soul beneath my palm without even noticing.

'I want to test it…' I think to myself as I feel my soul radiating with power.

Since pyromancy is dependent on the power of one's soul to create the flames I want to try it now that I have such a powerful soul. I adjust the size of my armor as I put it back on with my miasma and walk out the door to the blue hall. I see the three liches there with the portal already complete.

"Done already?" I ask confused.

Tsar'Rin looks at me surprised "My Lord you are finally out."

I look at him confused "What do you mean?"

He lowers his head and so do the other two "It has been three days…"

My brows raise in surprise "It is good none of you disturbed me. I reached a new plateau in my power… Come. Observe."

I walk to the Necromancy wing where there is a balcony that faces the other direction towards Tyr's hand. I observe the Necromancer's new clean areas with the only undead in sight are the ones for training and the pockets on the side for defense.

Just before the large hall for the Necromancy wing is a terrace where the undead flying creatures leave from. I look into the hall where I feel the Darkwhisper sisters are staying. As I step in I see the room completely different as to when I killed the scientist here.

There are now three seats for the sisters and the walls are littered with different weapons. Undead giants are at the four corners of the rooms sleeping. The three sisters drop to their knees when they see me.

"I still feel that you two younger sisters do not truly believe. Let me show you what your older sister sees". I notice the oldest, Agetha, is staring at me in disbelief and I feel her connection becomes stronger.

They nod their lowered heads as they follow me to the terrace. Once we are outside I close my eyes and feel out where I feel the least amount of animals in Tyr's hand. There are no living creatures which isn't odd if they used a plague like I would.

The Lich and Val'Kyr stand curious as I raise a hand. A small ball of black flames appears at my hand and slowly floats towards the abandoned town and massive gates. It stops once it reaches above the castle almost a mile away.

It is out of view for them but I can see it. I smirk as I close my outstretched palm. Instantly the small ball turns into a second sun in the sky nearly a kilometer in diameter and drops onto the castle and town with a crash.

The ground rumbles and a wave of scorching hot wind pushes the necropolis a bit. The ground beneath the black and white flaming sun has turned black and the castle has vanished. The town that was near it was blown down by the force and the massive wooden gates are currently burning.

'Not enough' I think to myself. The mana required to make that was unreasonable to use in actual combat but it is satisfactory for the moment. The first flame was able to make a kiln similar size to the blast I just did but this world is different. I must be stronger.

I turn around to see the party of six standing in awe and I feel my connection with all of them deepen further. I smile seeing they enjoyed the show. I walk by the three sisters patting the oldest on the back between her wings.

"I like what you did with the Necromancy wing. It is very clean and orderly." I say with a smirk as I walk past heading back to my study to regain my mana.
