34 Brief Return To The Undercity

(A/N: I feel like this is my safest novel lol. Since not as many people know WoW lore the only people that will come at me are people who are typically right. I am perfectly fine with being told I'm wrong when I'm actually wrong lol. People have such large ego's trying to flex Potter and Marvel knowledge RIP lol.

--------------------

After a few more days spent in Stormwind, Rhonin returned and I was able to thank him for the books before leaving. We will not be teleporting, instead, we will be flying there, it should only take a week to travel to the Undercity from here. As much as they would like to stay, Stormwind is unable to accept undead into the city without a problem so we are heading to drop them off.

Being able to move 24/7 above the landscape speeds up travel exponentially. During the travel, Prime learns how to speak with the help of Tsar'Rin as they spend most of the time together researching.

I spent most of the days hiding away in my chambers trying to understand why my magic won't merge like it did in my old world. After an extended period of anger I decided that this world's magic is just more rigid than my old world. I suppose that's why undead are harmed when using light magic... Or at least a similar reason.

As we enter Tirisfal Glades and the Undercity comes into view that the walls have been repaired. The giant stone slabs of the walls stand strong in front of the entrance to the city. The Necropolis begins to slow as I stand on the balcony admiring the dying landscape.

Honestly, I am beginning to like the drab and murky aesthetic more now that I get to see proper castle walls near it. This would be a good land if it weren't for the unknown power lurking beneath and the lack of sunlight due to a bit of death haze lingering above the land.

We begin to stop a hundred feet away from the entrance and a tower for flying Zeppelins, a marvel of technology. I see Sylvanas herself is standing on the walls, our eyes meet as she orders the archers lining the walls to at-ease.

I step on the ledge and take a note from Rhonin's guide to teleportation. The simplest form of teleportation, 'Blink' in a flash I teleport over a hundred feet over and fifty feet down appearing again next to Sylvanas instantly.

She turns to me slowly unsurprised as all the other forsaken fall back a bit frightened. "You have learned a new skill?" She asks as she lowers her head in a bow of acknowledgment.

I give a small smile "I have. I am here to drop off some refugees that I freed from the scourge. Are you able to take them in?"

She ponders for a bit then shrugs "As long as they have serviceable skills, I have temporary lodgings they can stay in, how many?"

"163, a few are mages, a few are necromancers, and a few are knights," I say leaning on the raised part of the wall.

"That is a manageable number. Brill is being reconstructed and I am building a new city in and around the remnants of the scarlet crusades hideout. I will need citizens for it, if they are willing of course." She says stowing away her bow she had out.

I nod "The Scarlet Crusade were nearby? I heard they are a religious cult that wants to purge all the undead."

"You heard correctly. They had a Monastery to the south that was built on hallowed ground. We were unable to take it before due to that, but once I received your blessing I was eager to test my power. I went there by myself and cleansed it, corrupting the hallowed ground." She holds out a hand and a mix of banshee magic and death magic radiates off of her.

I nod "I am about to go capture a Necropolis in the Plaguelands. I was thinking about leaving one of my subordinates with you, is that fine?"

She closes her fist stopping the magic "I have no qualms with it. Will he be under my command?"

"Of course. I wish for him to teach Gunther Arcanus magic. Arcanus has talent but his understanding is lacking, so I wish for them to become companions." I say as I call out to him in my mind.

'Come.' I command. A black death gate opens beside me as a six-foot-tall man wearing black plate armor with green-tipped spikes on his pauldrons and two on his helmet. On his back is a giant war axe with a metal skull connecting the two blades.

I gesture at him "This is Amon. He is my direct subordinate's, subordinate? He is the highest-ranking Unholy Death Knight I have… so far."

Amon bows his head a bit and Sylavanas acknowledges him with a small nod. "I will have him meet Gunther immediately.

I smile and nod as I see Prime has already set up a portal letting the refugees through. Seeing this as well Sylvanas orders her men to start guiding them to the Undercity.

"Are the Horde going to Northrend? The Alliance are heading there in around 20 days." I ask curiously.

She nods "Yes, we are joining forces in Silvermoon City then heading to the Howling Fjord as a joint force in a month or so. The battles on other fronts with the alliance are being put on a temporary hold."

"That makes sense. I suppose I will meet you in Northrend after I take the other Necropolis. The Kirin Tor are heading there as well, I'm sure you are aware though since they are your intermediary correct?" I ask while watching the citizens funnel in the gate below us.

She looks a bit surprised "Yes, I was told of this a few days ago… How did you get so much done in two weeks?"

I laugh a bit "I am a God, it's only natural."

"... I suppose." She says looking away.

I suddenly remember a question that has been on my mind for a while: "I am curious, what is Blightcaller's special mission in the Plaguelands? When I was studying this world I found that now there is almost nothing of note there, what could he possibly be doing?"

She looks back to me with a serious gaze and gives a simple answer "Stratholme."

My head cocks to the side as I lean back "Interesting… Conquest or War?"

A cocky smile adorns her lips "Conquest."

I nod my head in agreement with her plan "That is some excellent forethought. Now that you serve me your power of death should be more than enough to rule over those lands. If Stratholme becomes yours the forsaken could have a major foothold on Azeroth."

She nods softly in agreement as Amon finally speaks up with a deep terrifying voice "Should Gunther and I go and assist? It would be good for his training."

Sylvanas and I both look at him with surprise. I rub my chin "Has the conquest started?"

She shakes her head "No, Nathanos only has a small regimen with him, the plan was to slowly widdle down their forces then launch a full attack using undead raised from Darrowshire."

"That is a good plan, we are not going near Stratholme but we will pass right above Darrowshire. I can drop them there if you want. Unless you need Gunther." I offer.

"Gunther is the leader of my mages but he is not needed at the moment and won't be until after we go north. Once they conquer Stratholme they can go north to Silvermoon and meet us there, since it is close." She says convincing herself with the tactic.

"I agree, that would work well, it's all up to whether you can take the city. I can drop a few of my men there if that would help." I happily agree with her plan.

She lowers her head "It would greatly accelerate the process if you did."

I smile as I look down at the woman in front of me 'Smart and ambitious… I approve.'

"Do you have enough citizens to fill your two new cities?" I ask leaning forward expecting a good answer.

"No, but we are in the process of raising the old residents of this area as well as the normal citizens of Darrowshire, not just feral and fighters." She says confidently.

My smile widens "Good. The undead of this world are looking better by the day… Once we have Gunther we will leave immediately. I have high hopes from you Sylvanas." She lowers her head again with her usual blank face.

"Thank you." She says calmly.

I smile as I turn back to the Necropolis and teleport into my chambers again.
