After being cleared by doctors and cleared once more by Dr. Daniel, Amira was taken home to mentally prepare herself for her hypnotherapy session. Since she returned home she's done nothing but shower and paint. The room had already been cleaned by her friends and she didn't have an appetite. There was just her, her canvas, her paints, and her brushes.

"You need to eat."

And Laurette

Amira sighed and rolled her eyes at her friend.

"How do ya expect me to eat when I let you talk me into this mess?"

The apparition scoffed and folded her arms.

"I'm insulted, Reed. You say that as if I could never talk you into things before."

Mira chose not to reply to that because she knew that Laurette was right. Its how all three of them, Amira, Everly, and Laurette, got into trouble as children. Laurette would talk them into doing countless things when they were younger and they would follow through with it no matter the results or consequences. They'd prank teachers, classmates, even their parents.

As Mira reminisced about the past, a knock on the door made her pause for a brief moment.

"It's Everly."

When the Irish girl said nothing in return, Everly opened the door and peeked inside. She walked in fully when she saw Amira sitting at the easel.

"Hey," she began as she closed the door after entering fully, "Von said he would be with you during the session with my mom."

Mira rolled her eyes and continued painting.

"Even after I told em not to worry about it," she muttered but Everly still heard it. Silence past between them before Amira stopped painting altogether and stood. She walked over to her bed and pulled the box of Laurette's things from underneath it.

"Might as well just give you these since there won't be a need to hide things from you anymore."

She shoved the box into Everly's lap and blew out a heavy breath while gripping her hair.

"That was harder than I thought it would be." She began pacing the room as doubt began to creep in.

"Can I really do this? That quack said that the journals won't be enough this time but why? I don't want to go through that again! I just-"

Everly wrapped her arms around Amira. She noticed her spiraling and wasted no time comforting her. All these years passed the two by and she hated Amira since the day she left. She never realized how much pain that her friend was in and pushed her, not knowing how much damage she was adding on. Now, she needed to be there for her and it's been surprisingly easy to do so.

"You need to heal also, Amira. Giving up Laurettes things is hard but to say what happened? That's harder to do but it also helps you to let it go."

Amira hesitated before pulling away and looking Everly in the eyes.

"You need to read the black book with your parents, Everly. Promise me you'll do it."

Everly nodded but Amira grabbed her shoulders and shook her slightly.

"No, I need to hear you say it."

Everly was taken aback by the sudden desperation Amira was showing.

She went to speak but thought of a better reassurance; she held up her middle finger towards her. To anyone else, it would haved looked as if Everly was using a derogatory gesture but to Amira it meant the world.

It was there secret pact ritual. When there was a secret to be kept between them or a promise was made, Laurette, Everly, and Amira would comnect their middle fingers rather than their thumbs or pinkies. Laurette came up with the idea saying that anything else would be basic.

Amira linked her middle finger with Everly and felt a bit of relief.

"Have you eaten," Everly asked. Amira sighed and shook her head.

This made the blonde glare and leave. A few minutes later, she came back with a plate of finger foods Sheila made for her.

"Eat it."

"Everly, I don't-"

Wasting no more time, Everly shoved the food into Amira's mouth while she was talking. Mira choked but recovered after the piece of sandwhich softened enough to swallow.

"Have you lost yer bloody mind!?"

Everly smiled sweetly and held out the plate.

"Eat or I'll do it again."

Sheila watched Amira and Everly stare off at each other before Amira yielded, grumbling.

The woman smiled and sighed in content. Hopefully this session will make her better. It was Sheila's prayer that she wouldn't need therapy anymore also. Jerry took leave from work to, not only support his daughter but to finally hear the entire truth. He tried to prepare for anything that would be revealed but knew that no amount of preparation would keep him calm.

Lily was beyond nervous. After Amira was released from the hospital, and she helped take the girl home, Azana asked Liz if she wanted to meet her parents. It was a surprised to her but Azana had a way of wording things and those words easily coaxes everyone, except Elijah and Amira, to agree with her.

Now, she was somehow at Azana's front door, dressed nicely, and hesitating to ring the doorbell. Azana heard that her mother was strict while her father just went with the flow. If they knew that she was their daughter's girlfriend...

The door opened and a woman that resembled Azana peered down at her. She analyzed Lily from head to toe and folded her arms.

"You must be a friend of Azana's." She moved away from the entrance to allow Lily to enter the house. The young girl gave a small smile and entered the home.

"My name is Lily and yes I am-

"My girlfriend."

Both looked to Azana in shock but Lily's shock became awe after seeing her girlfriend's attire. She wore a silver sequins crop top with a two piece tuxedo. Her hair was curled to the side while her jewlery and shoes accented her shirt.

"Girlfriend? As in-"

"Girlfriend as in girlfriend, mother. We are dating."

Both looked to Lily, Azana for back up and her mother for clarity. Lily walked over to her girlfriend and laced her fingers with Azana's and smiled.

"Alright, is everyone rea-,"

Azana's father entered the room and felt the tension instantly, "dy?"

"Phillip, did you know that our daughter had a girlfriend?

Her father, Phillip, looked shocked by the news then looked to his wife.

"Can we deal with this later, Diana? We'll be late if-"

"No! We deal with this here! What stunt is this, Azana? Must you always ruin things with your antics?"

Lily backed away from the sudden anger replacing the tension in the house.

"Antics? Lily is no antic. She is really my girlfriend and my date to the charity dinner."

"Girl's please-"

"Butt out Phillip/dad!" Phillip stood beside Lily after being yelled at by both his wife and daughter. She quickly grabbed his arm and leaned in while the two argued.

"Are they always like this?"

The man sighed and nodded his head before smiling down at her.

"I try to be the mediator between them but it never really works."

Lily waited until tge yelling stopped to speak. Both mother and daughter were having a glare contest but both turned to her when she stepped forward.

"Ma'am, I know this is sudden. I didn't knlw that she hadn't told you about us until today." She shot Azana a look that made her girlfriend look away.

"But I can fully understand why."

The older woman scoffed and folded her arms.

"Are you aware that Azana might just be using you to spite me?"

"Mom!"

Lily squared her shoulders and looked tge woman in tge eyes. A sudden bravness washed over her as her recent conversation with Amira played in her head.

"One of these days," Amira began, "you're gonna have to drop your overies. You're too timid and you go along with everything."

"I do not!"

"Yeah, ya do. I'm just saying that, one day, someone is going to need you badly and with the way you are now? You'll probably just back down and give up before even startin'.

Lily thought about her words and knew that she was right. All her life she's been ashamed of herself and ran away in fear of what people thought about her. She never spoke her mind on anything that mattered.

Now she stood before her girlfriend's parents, ready to defend Azana.

"You know, from the brief moment I've been here, I could tell that you both love Azana."

This took Diana by surprise. She blinked for a second but Lily continued.

"You love her and want what you truly think is best for her. But what you don't see is by doing that you are pushing her away. She feels that you both don't support her."

Lily blew out a shaky breath and placed a finger in her eye. Azana went to stop her but Lily already had the contact lens out. She hadn't wanted to scare off her parent's on the first meeting but seeing them like this reminded her of her situation with her own parents.

Diana's eyes went wide upon seeing the two different colored irises staring back at her.

"I always felt my parents were ashamed of me because of my eyes," she said watching Azana's mother closely.

"There were so many misunderstandings between me and my family. Telling me to wear contacts, keeping my bangs a bit long. I thought they hated how I looked when, in all actuality, they wanted to help me be comfortable. They hadn't even realized how much all of that had been hurting me."

Diana looked to her daughter with tears, knowing Lily was right.

"Is this how you feel, Azana," her father asked. The usually hyper girl could only nod. There was silence until Azana began to sob.

"Every conversation I have with you, mom, leads to a fight. I have always thought you hated me because you always tear me down. When I dyed my hair pink, you told me that it was hideous. When I wore certain cloths you criticized me! Saying I looked like a slut. Today you thought I would actually be evil enough to use Lily to hurt your reputation! Its as if you don't know me and you hate every step and breath I take!"

She turned to her father and saw the pain in his eyes.

"Dad, you just let her do it! You lnow she's wrong but stand there and say nothing. You just give me that...that sad smile and follow her out to calm her down. Today, I finally got someone to tell my side and I'm honestly surprised that you're listening now."

Diana wasted no time hugging her daughter.

"Oh, sweetheart. I'm so sorry!"

Lily smiled and went to give the family a moment alone but was pulled back by Phillip.

"Thank you," he told her before letting her go and hugging his daughter.

This was the start of the family healing.

Amira laid back in the therapy couch as she waited for Dr. Daniel and Margie. Jerry couldn't stop pacimg the floors and it only worsened Amria's nerves.

"Dad, would ya sit down for a moment? Yer makin' me more jittery than I already am."

Jerry quickly sat down but then his leg began to shake.

"I could have sworn I was the patient here," she mumbled. The door opened and Margie walked in with her husband, Dr. Daniels, and Von right behind her.

"Alright Amira, we're going to begin soon. Dr. Daniel is going to hook you onto a heart rate monitor so we can properly monitor you. Von and your father will be with you as your support line. If things get too intense they will be the ones to pull you back, understood?"

Amira nodded as the quack doctor attached her body to the heart rate machine. She's never seen Margie at work and it was as if she were a different person.

Margie suddenly snapped her fingers and Amira looked at her.

"We've now begun. Amira, close your eyes and place your hands together."

Mira did as told and heard another snap.

"Your hands are tied together with cable ties. When you open your eyes this is what has happened."

Yet another snap was heard and Amira opened her eyes. Her hands were together but nothing was around her wrists. She sighed and went to part her hands but they were stuck together.

"Good, step one complete."

Margie snapped again and Amira was able to part her hands.

"Alright, close your eyes again."

Mira looked to her dad and he nodded, rubbing her shoulder in comfort. She let out a shaky breath and closed her eyes.

"You are about to take us back to where everything started okay? Every word you tell me from now until we conclude will only be the truth and said aloud for us to her."

Amira found herself back inside of the halls of the Addam's house, only six years ago. She looked down and saw she was wearing her dads old baseball jersey as a nightgown.

"Tell us where you are, Amira," Margie's voice echoed.

"I-I'm in the hallway of Everly's house."
