12 The DarK Forest

Hello, a dramatic end is near. I know there's not enough chapter to end The Dead Empire but the plot isn't going anywhere. So execpt if you readers show some big interest I believe I'm gonna end this. Plus, I have a lack of inspiration.

The next day, the whole group was ready to move again. This time, the group took some swords in order to defend themself against the Guards that might be patrolling in the forest.

Brad made sure that the path he used wouldn't be dangerous or anything. He chose to first find the parents of Shimo before heading to the old Yokuro territory.

Elion put his hand on Shimo's shoulder. "You don't have to be nervous. Everything's gonna be alright." He saw Shimo nodded so he joined Mei and Jack who for the first time weren't arguing. He stayed away to hear their conversation.

"So about Mary, are we gonna wait till we arrived to expose her?"

Mei nodded "In any case, she will be discovered. She can't hide forever the truth. I mean a lack of power is possible but a disappearance is impossible."

"Mmmm, still I think we give her the opportunity to think that we are gonna let this go. "

"We do. You can tell her we're gonna keep her secret if she respect Creatures which I think will accepted quite quickly."

Elion touched Jack's shoulder "You guys are right."

Jack jumped as he hear his dad's voice. But quickly sighed "Were you eavesdropping Dad?"

"I was. You pique my curiosity! What's going on with Mary? You threatened her?"

Mei scoffed "Why would we do that? Mary is not worth my sword anyway." Mei felt the angry glare of Elion, she coughed "Okay, don't look at me with those eyes. Here's the truth, she dyes her hair in white that's all."

Elion sighed "Here's another problem to solve. Let's let it go for now."

Jack squinted his eyes "That's what we planened to do Dad. Do you have ears problem?"

Elion give his son a nudge. "Watch how you're talking to your old father!"

"Yeah,yeah"

Someone yelled that the group will leave soon and that everything needed to packed before they headed in the forest. Now, Mei knew that there was no turning back. The Cyclips might not be their enemy but this forest was full of dangerous Creatures as the three headed wolf.

Mei felt Shimo's hand on hers. The worries she had left her slowly as they walked hand to hand. Shimo seemed to be calm but Mei could feel him shake. Mei smiled to him in order to relax him.

Elion shouted to get the attention "We are entering the forest. Please stay close to each other. If in any case you see a Cyclop please greet him politely" He paused and took his breathe "BUT if it's not a Cyclop and you think you might be in danger, defend yourself. Like we learned this week okay?"

The whole group amswered him "YEAH!!"

Elion nodded and stared to walk. The trees could be seen and so are the mountains. It was suddenly dark when they entered the forest.

Now there's was no turning back. The group was engaged in their most difficult travel, they would do. Of course, there's gonna be great loss. Maybe that they would never make it to Yokuro's territory.
