14 Still Alive

Mei woke up in a luxurious bed. She only rembered that she fell in the mud from exhaustement. Like Jack... Mei suddenly stood up and walked around the room trying to find an exit. The only thing that mattered was to find Jack.

Her body didn't seem to answer her command and soon she fell on the ground. That's when the wall opened, a familiar form appeared from it. It was a tall person that she could recognized in a blink. The Salvatore and Jack...

Before the darkness take her away, she managed to smile. She closed her eyes once again. Everything that she had lived passed in pictures. That one time when she stole bread or the time when she ran away for her life. Every little things came back.

She felt her whole body shake like someone was actually shaking her. She started to hear distant voices.

"Mei!! Wake up!!"

Mei felt drop of water on her face. Salt drop like tears, someone was crying for her. It didn't matter who it was, because with her hand she caressed the person's cheek.

This person grabbed her hand and squeezed it. Not to hurt her, the person would never do that. "Mei, it's Jack. I don't know how but we managed to survive. Open your eyes for God's sake."

Mei felt the need to open her eyes. When she did, she could see way better than before. She faced Jack who to her surprise was crying. Mei wiped his tears and hugged him thightly.

"I know where we are Jack. I've been taken here so many times that I can't count them on my hand."

"Then where are we?"

"In The Salvatore's castle Jack. We are trapped in the Dead Empire and we may have no chance to escape."

Jack nodded. He kept silent unknowing how to tell her. But under Mei's pitiful look, he sighed and patted her head. "It's gonna be fine okay? Mei, since you've been here for so many times, we can get out of here right?"

Mei was about to say something when they heard an loud laugh. Soon, The Salvatore came in the room. To Jack surprise, he was his age and was really handsome like him. The Salvatore had the same white hair and green eyes just like them.

"You thought that I would let you two get out of here." He passed by Jack and took Mei's chin. "You really have grown into a beautiful young woman, Mei."

Jack clenched his fists but remained silent. Yet, his move was seen by The Salvatore who chuckled. "Oh I see what's going on. You love her right? She's heartless and will break your heart."

Mei laughed. "Still playing your little tricks? Me who thought that you might have matured. I guess immortality isn't made for you." She paused and spilt on his face. "You can go to hell, Salvatore. I love him too."

Salvatore's face twisted. He snapped his fingers and instantly Jack disappeared. Mei let out scream and tries to grab his hand but it was too late.

Mei started to sob. She had never loved someone like she loved Jack. The only time that it happened, Salvatore had to ruined everything.

"Remember Mei, you can be mine and only mine. I'll make you immortal and you will control the Dead Empire with me."

Mei remained quiet. In her, she felt all her hatred boil inside of her and turned into power. She grinned but did nothing.

"Accepting your fate?"

Mei laughed and looked at him. Her eyes weren't green anymore, they were red like blood. Salvatore stepped back and Mei jumped on him with a lightning sword.

"I RATHER DIE THAN BE BY YOUR SIDE!!YOU ARE JUST A PIECE OF SHIT!!

Mei stabbed him again and again. She knew perfectly that he was still alive but she liked to hurt him. She hated him more than anything, he was the one who ruined her childhood, who made her life miserable and who almost killed many times. It was unforgivable.
