10 Meeting with a Cyclop

Lily didn't stop glaring at Mary,provoking her whenever she looked at her. Of course, Mei saw those looks and only laughed softly. It enraged Mary more than anything. She brutally stood up making a lot of noise to get people's attention.

"I don't trust Yoshimo Mei!" Everyone stared at her in disbelief. They just had the proof that Mei was their only hope and now Mary wants to fight her.

Jack who was eating peacefully until Mary's sudden affirmation glared at her. He put hus fork aside and sighed loudly "We never asked you to trust her. I trust my leader and that's my final decision."

Some approuval were heard as the people nodded. Even though some of them remained unsure, the majority agreed with Jack. Who could not trust Yokuro's words?

Mary clenched her fists and yelled "JACK! Why do you take her defense?! She's the first one to insult you!".

Mei laughed at her pitiful excuse. "You know,Mary, that's call tease." The crowd laughed at Mei's comment. Everyone knew that Mei never meant anything bad. "I teased him just like he does. If you don't appreciate that then you gotta live with it."

Mary gritted her teeth as she heard people laugh. She then turned and faced Elion who was sipping his water,enjoying the show. She pointed him with her finger. "Elion, you don't like people bullying others so why aren't you defending me?"

Elion raised an eyebrow and shrugged. "You put yourself in trouble. Don't ask me to save you." He paused and glared at her. "You always provoke Mei, bare the consequences of your own action Mary."

Mei chuckled when Elion scold Mary. She smiled at Jack to repay his kindness. He only grins back before eating his meal. Everybody began to chat, paying less attention to Mary who stood in the center of the tent.

Mary went back to her seat,admitting her defeat and finished her drink as she lost all of her cheer. She felt an hand on her shoulder then turned around. Mei stood behind her with a sincere smile. Mary slapped her hand in disgust. Mei sighed as she scrub her red hand.

"Look Mary, I'm sorry if I offend you. I hope we can start again."

Mary scoffed "You thought I would forgive you?! You stole my man!"

Mei sighed and shook her head "Why did I even apologize to you?" Mei paused then crossed her arm. "I'm gonna make myself clear : I don't like Jack and I'm not a spy from The Dead Empire because you'll already be in a coffin by now." With that Mei keft the proncipal tent and took her sword.

She quickly arrived to the woods. She grabbed tightly grabbed her swords and began to hit the tree until it fell down. She was panting from exhaustement. Mei then heard footsteps from the woods. Afraid,she lift her sword ready to stab someone.

As she walk towards the moving bushes, Mei tripped on her foot and fell. She then saw one big eyes looking at her. She gasped and took a step back but remebering what Yokuro said, Mei got up. She jumped in it, to find a young Cyclop. Mei gave him her hand. "You okay there?"

The Cyclop stared at her confused. From what he had heard, humans were bloody murders of Creatures. "Are you gonna kill me with that sword?" He pointed the sword in Mei's hand.

Mei looked at her hand and throw her sword beside the Cyclop. She smiled "Now I can't kill you with that sword but I don't think it wouldn't be a great idea if you touch it though."

The Cyclop looked at the sword, worried. "Why not?" He was about to touch it when Mei grabbed his hand. She looked at him frightened just like if she saw a ghost.

"This is Yokuro's sword. Anyone who touch it will suffer." She then grabbed the sword quickly and put it in the quiver.

The Cyclop nodded but didn't move a finger. Mei sighed and give him a hand to get up. "I won't kill you. Now come on let's go!"
