162 Together Once Again

I thought it would be as easy as walking away. The only thing I needed to do was to turn around and just walked. One foot after another. Eventually... eventually, it would take me further, right?

It should take me forward. So, I didn't stop. One place after another. One by one I laid down this memory, returning it to where it belonged. I wasn't Airi anymore. I wanted to accept it as it was that I was truly am Li Fei and the past was no longer meant for me.

When I had looked down at the pile of soil right in front of my feet, I had felt the deepening numbness, a hollow space beneath my chest. I wondered then, was this how one supposed to feel when they witnessed their death?

But, who could answer this if even I didn't know it myself?
