146 The Sky and Its Rambling Tears

The rain continued to pour, drenching the soil, the trees, the building, the earth and everything beneath it. It was as if mother nature was crying and its heart-wrenching scream breathed a howling wind and tore the sky with its roaring thunder when nobody seemed to listen. When nobody seemed to care.

It just kept pouring, hoping that someone would take notice, even though it would only be a curse that rolled out of their tongue.

"What a bad day!" they'd said.

"Damn the weather!" they'd cursed.

But at least, it would be something than nothing. The nature seemed to rejoice then, so excited it poke another hollow cloud and said, "Hey don't be sad anymore! Color the earth with your tears. Paint it blue and everyone will care. Everyone will look up and stare at us. We will once again be the center of the universe."

And no matter how naive that might sound, we had indeed looked up. We had indeed said, "It's raining."
