216 Food or Me?

While Jin Longwen and Li Fei waited for the food, they were served with some side dishes such as kimchi radish and yellow pickled radish (danmuji).

"Try it," Jin Longwen said as he took a pair of chopsticks from the drawer at the side of the table and handed it to Li Fei.

The woman eyed the red and yellow foods in front of her curiously. "How do they taste?"

"I can't really explain it but, if I have to pick an adjective. It would be..." Jin Longwen thought about it and decided one, "Refreshing."

"Refreshing, huh?" Li Fei took one piece of the yellow radish first since she thought it looked more interesting with its round shape.

However, she was a bit skeptical to taste it when she caught whiff of the smell. It had a strong scent of sourness and Li Fei was not a fan of sour things. She was more of a sweet and savory girl. But, she was here to give everything a try despite the taste, so without pondering any longer, Li Fei put it in her mouth.
