Hua Ling grabbed my arms. I could feel her restlessness and desperation through her strength. But, I still maintained the same expression. Not once did my heart waver upon witnessing her disheveled state. I had given her a chance to escape and she should've been aware of the visible signs, the countless warning that had been shooting her way.

If only she had bothered to pay even just a little attention to her surroundings other than herself, she wouldn't have gotten into this situation. Although I was Li Fei now, I would no longer let them drag me around.

When I saw the tears finally came tumbling down her face again, I wasted no more time and stood back up. If she could not bring herself to choose, I would do it for her. The only thing left for me to crush now was her dignity and the remaining confidence Hua Ling had left.
