Morning After the graduation ceremony

Arjun -

Arjun woke up with a heavy headache and was surprised that he was in an unknown room. It took him several minutes to remember the things happened last night. That's when reality downed upon him. He had slept with one of his best friend,  Ana. Arjun was devastated. He had screwed up a big time.' How the hell did that happen' he thought to himself . He couldn't remember anything that happened last night . The only thing he remember was getting drunk and getting out of the party with Ana. After that everything  happened  was blur. But he knew what has happened and he knew that there is no going back. He knew what he had done with his friend in a drunken state. He had successfully destroyed their friendship and also become a cheater. For God's sake Ana was his best friend. She is the only foreign friend he had here. And in the last day he had spoiled it with his stupidity. And He had a fiancée back home who was eagerly waiting for his arrival. Arjun knew he had betrayed his Ishu. Never in million years he thought that he would cheat on his Ishu.  He had betrayed his love for his Isha. Arjun wanted to clear the situation with Ana and tell her that last night was a mistake and both of them were not in their right mind. But he knew the moment he says those words it will be the end of their friendship. But he had to do this. There is no going back now. He couldn't give her false hopes. He knew that Ana never thought of him that way but he had to clear this shit as fast as he could.  Looking around he didn't see anyone in the room with him. So, he started his mission to search Ana as fast as possible. 

He was guilty of the thing that he is going to do now. He didn't want to do this. But if he didn't do this, he will forever feel guilty for his Ishu. Even now he can't believe that he had slept with his four yearlong best friend . All these years he had been committed to his Ishu. He had never even flirted with any other girls. But alas it only took some alcohol to destroy everything. He can't even imagine how he is going to tell Isha about this. No, he can't. Isha will be hurt and devastated. She will also leave him without even thinking for a second. No matter what happens he didn't want to lose Isha. She was the light in his dark world. His solace and only ray of sunshine. Remembering Isha brought a smile to face even in this moment. Isha is his first love and will be his last love so he never wanted  to lose her. 

Isha is the daughter of his father's driver. They met during their college days when she visited his house with her father. At first, they hated each other but gradually they fell in love. Everyone was surprised when they inform that they were dating because of their social class difference. But it wasn't an obstacle for their relationship. So now she is his girlfriend for 4 and half years. He promised her that he will come back and marry her on the day he left India  and came to New York to complete his studies. He can clearly remember Ishu's face when he boarded the plane. He can' t break his promise that he made to his Ishu. So only thing that he can do is to clear the misunderstanding  between Ana and him even he had to break off the friendship she had with Ana. 

Arjun quickly went to the dorm where Ana lived. But she was nowhere . He searched everywhere but he couldn't find her. He even asked the passerby  students if they had any idea where Ana was but no one had seen her. He was devastated different thoughts came into his mind. He wanted to find her at all cost. he didn't want anything to happen to her. Even though his sole purpose of finding Ana was to break off the things they had last night after hearing that Ana was not seen anywhere all of his previous worries were thrown out to the window. His only goal was to find his best friend. the girl who was with him throughout these years, the girl who had supported him through thick and thin. if something happened to Ana, he will never be able to forgive himself. He knew it.

Going back to his room he thought about hoe he met Ana and developed a very unique friendship with her throughout these years. 

FLASHBACK 

He clearly remembered the day he first saw Ana. She was a shy girl with a very cool attitude. She was a scholarship student. So, no one took the initiative to talk with her. She was a silent girl. Arjun had his two best friends with him Rohan Raichand and Siddharth Chopra. So, he didn't need any friends in here.  From the beginning he had decided that he will live a quiet life in his university days with his two best friends. All his life he had been the center of the attraction and he needed a break. So, he decided that these years he will live as a normal bit not as son of a billionaire. So, he never took the initiative to make friends with those rich American kids. But ana was an exception.

In their first semester they were selected into the same group to do their project . That's when he formally gets to know her. Even though he had seen her in the university they didn't speak with her associate with her. So, throughout the semester they were able to get to know her  and makes friends with her.  Rohan and Sid also become her good friends. After that they did everything together. She was always with them. spending time with her made their days interesting and enjoyable. She had a vast knowledge about  New York city so they were able to travel together and do many things. That's how they transformed from  strangers to best friends in these two years. Ana was a silent girl from nature. But they instantly clicked in their own way. Rohan , Siddharth , Arjun and Ana became one click. Everyone admired their friendship. For nearly three years they have been best friends.

He knew that Ana was hiding something from him but never questioned about it though. She never talked about her parents. She never went to her home in their vacations. she never talked about her childhood unlike them.  As he was also hiding about his identity from her, he never questioned her. He couldn't expect her to be honest with him when he himself was not honest with her right. But this never affected their friendship.  He could sense that she was not what she is showing others. She was beautiful in her own way, she was smart and there was nothing she didn't know. What he couldn't understand was why is she behaving like a nerd and isolation herself from others.  She never tried to attract him or seduce him she was always a very good friend for him . He loved her in his own way. He was always protective of her. He had told Ana about Ishu too. Ana wanted to meet her and become friends with her too. But he never got the chance to introduce both of them. But new that will never happen. 

Arjun knew that these were the last weeks that they will be able to spend their time like this. Even though they are able to remain friends things will be so different. The thought itself scared him.  He knew that after their graduation they will go on their own ways. He will go to India and  take over his family business and she will go somewhere and will start her own life. He knows that Rohan and Siddharth will come with him but what about Ana.  "Will he ever meet her again after these weeks " .These were the thoughts kept running on his mind in these few weeks.

And then he saw Ana in a beautiful dress. Then he lost it. Ana had never dressed up in these 2 years they spent in the university. She never went to parties and never went clubbing ,not like he will ever allow her to go. So, this was the first time he saw Ana wearing a dress. She was beautiful. Then one thing led to another and the next thing he know was he was kissing Ana. He can clearly remember Ana protesting. But he didn't care. He wanted her badly. And then the next thing he remember is he was waking up  in an empty bed in an unknown room.

FLASHBACK ENDS 

When he remembered what happened yesterday, he wanted to die. He regretted it very badly. After searching for Ana for hours and not being able to find her he gave up and went to find his friends. there was no sign of her. Arjun knew that Ana has left without even bidding anyone goodbye. He told them what happened last night. They were angry with Arjun for taking advantage of Ana and betraying Isha. But nevertheless, they promised each other that they will keep this a secret. So, it became their secret. A secret buried deep within in their hearts forever.  Arjun hoped to get a one chance to apologize to Ana but it was not successful. So the only thing they could do was close this chapter in this life forever. They hoped  that they will never ever cross paths with Ana again because they won't be able to face her after what their friend has done to her.

  Today they were going to leave to their motherland after three years. They were happy.

Although deep inside they somewhat feel guilty for doing this like lying to Isha and his family. All three of the friends knew that if one day someone get to know that Arjun cheated in Isha there would be consequences they decided to pay no heed to it and bury it deep inside their souls. 

That's how Arjun , Rohan and Siddharth went to their motherland after spending three long years in a foreign land.
