11 Chapter 11

Siddharth-

Siddharth knew something was off with his friend. All these years Arjun was trying be someone who he wasn't. From the day they lost their friendship with Ana there was a huge difference in Arjun. Although his family couldn't point it because they did not know the situation Siddharth could grasp the situation really well. And now after returning to London unexpectedly they had to meet the same person they never wanted to meet again. Now Arjun's attitude has turned another 180 degrees. Whatever it is Siddharth wanted to fix it. He couldn't let his friend suffer more. He has suffered enough for four years. Showing a façade two his beloved ones Arjun has mastered in acting these years. Siddharth knows that if this goes on it is not only Arjun who is going to suffer but also Isha. He didn't want Isha to suffer because of the mistakes Arjun had done in the past. But the incident in the past may bring a huge heartbreak for Isha. For Siddharth Isha is like a little sister he never have. So there is no way he is going to let Isha suffer.

Siddharth wanted to cheer Arjun. That is the reason he suggested that they should go clubbing even though he know Arjun is not a fan of it. He could see that even in here Arjuns' mind is somewhere else.

That's when he saw Rohan approaching them with someone that was familiar to him. So he was thinking of this unknown figure. The moment he saw the person he was flabbergasted. He was totally lost. without even realising he looked at Arjun and saw him already staring at her.

When he was totally in his dream land he heard Ana greeting. Going with the flow he too greeted her. He could feel the growing tension in the air. No one was ready to talk. SO there was a really uncomfortable silence.

For his relief Rohan initiated the conversation. Sid looked at Rohan thinking he has gone crazy. What the hell is doing he thought to himself. Nevertheless he decided to stay silent.

Arjun-

For Arjun this silence was really uncomfortable. He had many things to say to Ana. He had to say sorry to her for taking advantage of her friendship all these years ago. No matter how he thought he had moved on from this incident now Arjun knew that without her forgiveness there is no moving on. He looked at her.

She was beautiful. The person who was sitting in front of him is not the friend he had all these years ago. This person is not the nerdy and naïve friend he had. Arjun could feel it. Though he opened his mouth to speak words didn't come out of it. He was happy that Rohan initiated the conversation.

" Ana how are you doing. its been so long" said Rohan.

Arjun could see the discomfort in her face. Arjun was disappointed. When he remembered the days they spent together without any care and seeing how now they are behaving he was truly sad.

" I have been good. What about you guys. I really didn't think even for a second that the Indian investors that my brother was blabbering about was you guys" he heard her saying.

"Me to. Ana. We were surprised too." said Rohan.

" So what is going in your lives. Are you guys doing well" he heard her asking.

" Yeah. you know me and Sid are single. But Arju got engaged. He will get married when he return to Indian" said Rohan.

The moment Rohan said that there was a thick pause. Everyone could feel it. Rohan instantly knew what was wrong. But now the deed has done.

For a thick second Arjun could see some kind of emotion pass through her eyes but she was quick to mask it.

"ooh wow. Congrats Arjun." He heard her saying.

Arjun was lost with words. He didn't know what to say. But the things she said next caught him off guard.

" Arjun I know what you must be thinking. The incident from four years ago. I never blamed you for it. We both were at fault. I never wanted you to take responsible for it. You were my best friend and at that moment something might have happened. I will never make myself the victim. So don't blame your self. I knew that you had a fiancée you loved and that's the reason I couldn't face you. i sincerely hope that because of that incident your relationship didn't suffer. Please forget that and move forward. I have been waiting to tell you this but I had no way to contact you or meet you. judging by your character you may think that you are at fault. So please Arjun don't think about it" he heard her saying.

Arjun didn't know what to say. But he had to say something. Its only fair. So gathering hi courage he spoke.

" I am sorry Ana. I hurt you. I hurt you so much. I was your best friend and I took advantage of your vulnerable state. Ana also I cheated on my fiancée. I am a coward. I don't have the courage even to confess it to her" he uttered. Along the was his voice broke.

"Arjun from myside there is nothing to forgive. both of us did the mistake. It will be wrong of me to accuse you. But your fiancée's side I don't know. You should have confessed to her. She will be heartbroken if she gets to know now. But I don't know. i sincerely hope that things will be better between you two. " he heard her saying.

"Thank you Ana . tour forgiveness means a lot to me" he said sincerely.

" Arjun past is in the past. Even though we cant change the past. I hope we will be able to get along in the future as business partners. With the things happened between us it will be really uncomfortable for us to return to who we were but lets forget those and move on in our life. Let's bury our past here and start afresh. I mean it" she said timidly.

"Yes. That's for the best. all the best Ana and thank you so much. She said to her.

It was as a huge burden was taken from him.

" So I am getting late. My friend is waiting for me. I am going. Lets have a happy collaboration in the future. Bye Arjun, Bye Ro and Bye Sid" she wished all of them.

"Bye Ana " he wished and Arjun also heard his friends wishing her tooo.

And in the next second he could see the retreating figure.

With that goodbye Arjun decided to bury his past. But little did he know that burying his past was not that simple and a huge storm is brewing in all of their lives. It will mend their heart or will destroy it forever. Little did he have a idea about it.
