1 About Alloces Lynch

The day should have been like any other day. There was nothing particular about yesterday and I really hoped today would be the same. The day started off quite dreadfully. Dark clouds covered the Capital early in the morning. It seemed like heavens themselves were angered about what had happened. No one paid attention to the clouds at the time. No one asked why the sky was so dark and no sunlight entered the capital. No one really cared then, until central bells rang thirty times. When the bell rang thirtieth and final time everyone stopped. Bakers stopped baking, merchants stopped counting coins and even hoodlums stopped extorting money. Everyone knew what bell ringing thirty times represented. Our king died today.

Alloces Lynch started his life tragically. As a newborn child he was found in a debris left behind by the great fire in the suburbs of the capital. He was found in an embrace of two charred corpses. Breathing but barely alive Alloces was rescued by royal knights patrolling the surroundings. As the only survivor of the fire no one knew who Alloces was. All his relatives most likely died in a fire leaving him an orphan when he was just a newborn baby. That day he was given a name of Alloces. In a drunken state soldiers gave a child a mockery of a name, of Alloces, the name of the devil with a lion head and ability to breathe fire. He was also given a last name of Lynch because of a long scar around his neck left by the fire. The next day he was left behind in a small church at the outskirts of the Capital. Left with nothing but a stupid and malicious name.

Almost nothing is known about Alloces's life in a church. There were rumors of him being abused and beaten daily. Rumors talked about how because of his weak constitution he was an easy prey for other orphan kids to abuse. Whatever happened to Alloces there lead him to run away from church at the age of 5.

And that escape from the church was a turning point in Alloces's life.

For the next 10 years Alloces roamed the streets of the capital. Under the watchful eyes of civilians Alloces slowly started to change. From a child beggar he became an apprentice blacksmith. From an apprentice blacksmith he became a member of an infamous gang. From just a minion he became an executive in a gang and from executive he fell to become an inmate. Finally by the twist of fate after leaving a prison he entered an army.

His army life was far from stable. It was challenging to no end. During his 20 years in army, he was appointed and discharged 14 times. When he just joined an army, he quickly rose in ranks until he became lieutenant colonel, highest rank a commoner can achieve. When he was about to be converted into nobility and become a colonel he was accused of corruption and was discharged. He was later drafted to war. During a war from a normal soldier, he became a captain and was later discharged after the war ended. A year after that he finally became a noble for protecting capital against the raid of barbarians. For his services he was converted into a noble and become a colonel. Sadly, his title and military rank was stripped from him just a few days later.

The next couple of years he was in a constant cycle of being drafted to wars and being discharged shortly after the end of a war. His contributions were evenly split between the children of high nobles. His reputation constantly worsening with every year with more and more accusations of his misconduct. Alloces spend 20 years in army in a constant cycle of appointments and discharges. Alloces spend 20 years in every battlefield that the kingdom fought. He spent 20 years fighting for a country that had no respect for him. After his 14th discharge from the army, he left the army life for good or so he thought.

Shortly after his 14th discharge. A coalition of 4 nearby countries struck the kingdom. Kingdom's army which consisted of nothing, but useless children of high nobles was easily crushed by the coalition. In a state of panic higher nobles had no choice but to call Alloces back. Not only Alloces was called back but also many war veterans that were mistreated were called back. High nobles gave Alloces the rank of General. Alloces was given supreme right to command army. He quickly repelled the coalition army and saved the country. Like any other battlefield before this after finishing the war he should have been discharged. But this time it was different. This time no one can discharge him.

King during those times was not a tyrant, he was neither good nor bad. But he was terribly incompetent. Being crowned king at a young age King Henry was easily influenced. He was basically a puppet of high nobles. He would leave all his work to indulge in sensual pleasures with his mistresses. His noninvolvement in ruling created an echo chamber of corruption. This corruption is the reason why Alloces and many great war veterans were mistreated. That time they had no power. But after the coalition war Alloces was a general and those veterans were also appointed in powerful ranks. Alloces controlled the army. He held all the military power of the kingdom so he did what he should. He revolted.

As I was nearing the center of the Capital, I was just awestruck by all the progress around me. Once dirty streets looked so unrecognizable to me. Once empty market looked so much busier. And hungry children in rags were now replaced by happy and bit chubby children running around the streets. My every step felt so much better walking on a well-built road that connected the whole Capital. My eyes were feasted by the many products around the world laid on the marketplace. As I was looking at the wonders of the Capital the terrifying sense of dread came to me. I do not want to go back to old times. I was suddenly enveloped in sadness as I was walking towards the center of the Capital.

Central Region was crowded, very crowded. Many people of many ways of life were gathered here. I could see commoners, merchants, children of nobles, slaves and people of underworld all gathered here waiting for a procession. I would not say I was shocked because I already half expected everyone to be here. It would be last time we saw him. The person who made Capital so flourishing and beautiful. The person who brought us peace. Our King.

After 2 hours of me arriving to the Central region a long procession made entirely of golden open top carriages arrived before us. Golden carriages were surrounded my plethora of guards all wearing shiny golden armor. The procession stopped before the Central Cathedral. It was our last chance to see our King before he would be taken to his burial vault. In the centermost carriage a beautiful coffin was situated. The coffin was heavily decorated with many rare and expensive jewels. Coffin also depicted many images of his Majesty's life. Him riding his horse and destroying enemy armies, him signing peace treaties, and him killing corrupt officials. All his achievements decorated his coffin. Inside the coffin a person with valiant figure was soundly sleeping in bed made of exquisite purple roses.

Two people were next to the coffin. One of them was our Queen. She was kneeling before the coffin and with tears endlessly coming from her eyes. Next to her stood a person wearing all black. Kristian Faust, our prime minister was standing next to the coffin looking down at it.
