Chapter 43

Bright heat-full balls of fire shot forward, blasting against the Cyclops chest with incredible force.

Fwsh.

Boom.

"We just need one more hit!" Jill shouted.

George tightly wrapped his hand around his machetes handle as he lifted it, preparing for the final blow.

"Then i'll finish it!"

A deep breath flowed into his lungs, every muscle in his arm and back tensed up, then with a flashy movement, he swung the blade downward.

Swip.

Swoosh.

A thin red line appeared across the Cyclops chest before it's body fell into

Thump.

Every-one let their body lean over in exhaustion as they were all exhausted due to the long boss battle. Except for Katsuya, he stood up straight, not being tired at all. Mainly, because he didn't even participate in the fight at all. He just stood back and watched the fight the whole time.

This is what Jill felt upset about.

"What is wrong with you? Why didn't you even help out?"

Katsuya looked down at his foot as he shook it around.

"My ankle started hurting a lot. I wonder if I sprained it."

"Are you kidding me?! That's all you have to say?"

"Ah, don't worry. I knew you guys could handle it." he replied.

Jill wanted to say something else but, she couldn't help but hold in her frustration.

'He actually trusted us with the boss? Is it because of our power boost?' she asked herself.

Katsuya watched as a screen appeared, a screen which only he could see.

'If it was their past selves, there's no way they could've beat the boss. But, killing all those rippers increased their power a lot.'

A small metallic ball appeared next to the monster's corpse. George walked over and snatched the ball into his hand.

"Alright, now that we have this, we should probably leave now."

"You guys can go on ahead. There's something I want to do, so I'll stay behind." Katsuya replied.

"Well, if you insist., kid. You might want to hurry up though."

"Yeah. If you stay too long, the dungeon will disappear and who knows where you'll end up."said Jill.

A barely visible smile was worn across Katsuya's face.

"You guys worry too much. Go on, I'll be fine."

Jill let out a sigh, then her and everyone else turned and began to walk out of the room.

"Whatever you say. Just try to be quick."

"I will." He replied.

Katsuya watched and waited till the others walked far enough that he could not see them anymore.

'Now, that just leaves one more thing….'

His body turned and both of his eyes shined as he focused on the Cyclops corpse.

"You're not actually done, are you?"

[Waring: Enemy has activated 'Soul Return']

[Warning: Enemy has activated 'Regenerate']

A red light emitted all around the monster's body as it connected back together. Then just as suddenly as the light appeared, it faded away.

Once again, there was movement from the boss's body. It slowly got up and regained it's balance before glaring at Katsuya with its giant eye.

"How did you know?" asked the Cyclops.

This left Katsuya a little surprised that it could speak and understand human languages, this was because it hadn't spoken or said anything before, so why was it speaking all of a sudden? Though, Katsuya wasn't curious enough to find that out. He just wanted to get things done with.

"I knew because I could sense you, still lurking around from the spirit realm. So, it's only natural to think that you had a skill to recover. That's how."

"Either way, letting your human friend leave so that you can face me alone was a mistake. Is your wish to die?"

Katsya stretched both of his arms up while he replied.

"Ah,my muscles really feel stiff today. But, to answer your question, no, I don't have a death wish. Sure, having numbers is better but, they were already tired from killing you the first time. They wouldn't be much help that way. So that's why I'll just kill you myself."

The Cyclops's eye glowed in rage as it started walking closer and closer.

It was moments like these where a commanding voice would speak inside of his consciousness.

'Kill all creatures of the abyss.'

With no fear, Katsuya also started walking forward. His face showed no emotion. In that moment, the Cyclops could sense tons of energy flowing from it's opponents body. Energy that represented absolute strength.

A great wind shook as Katsuya kicked his foot forward.

Fwsh.

Boosh.

The monster's body was blown into pieces and it's blood boiled from the intensity of the strike.

'If everyone else saw me beat a boss this easy, they'd know right away that I had legendary-like strength.'

Which would be bad as Katsuya's plan was to get them as strong as they could be. If they relied on his own strength too much, it would have a negative effect on future dungeon raids.

'I just have a strong feeling that one day, I might not be able to show up on time when they need me the most. And I trust that feeling.'

[Sixth Sense] was a skill that was connected to a greater form of intelligence. And depending on the person, it could even accurately predict the future. This was something Katsuya had realized. The moment he became half monster was the same moment a new side of knowledge had arrived.

"Time to go."

Arisa stood next to a man who was dressed in a suit. In the palm of his hand, a holographic map of the city appeared. One area in specific was pointed out to the both of them.

"So, we're finally able to get a good idea where this new Limit Breaker is."

"Yes. However, my map won't show his exact location, just a general idea of where he is living" The man replied.

"That's all we need to know."

Arisa turned and looked at the two other men who sat on chairs. She nodded, and they stood up and walked over.

"You guys know what to do. He could prove to be a useful member if he can convince him to join. Bring him here at all costs. If it's you two, I can trust you won't fail."

"Yeah, don't worry. We got this." said Ringo.

"Just like he said, we got this." said the second man.

Arisa gently patted both of them on the shoulder before giving one last command.

"Get going."
