6 "I'll walk you home."

One Week Later...

Katsuya laid on his bedroom floor while breathing heavily. He had just got done doing his daily workout.

"That was tiring..."

He then jumped to his feet.

"...Stat check."

Even though he has a strict exercising schedule that he follows everyday, his stats have not increased much. He was still happy by the small change.

"My stats didn't increase all that much. But I'm way stronger than I used to be. Will it be enough to beat monsters?"

RING! RING!

Inside his pocket, his phone was shaking. He pulled it out as he wondered who it could be.

{Caller: Jill}

{Answer/Decline}

He tapped his thumb on the 'Answer' button and held the phone up to his ear.

"Hello?"

Jill then replied.

"Hey, Katsya. I called to tell you about my father's funeral. It will be held in around two or three days. Will you be attending?"

"Yes, I will. He's the reason we're both still alive. I wouldn't skip out on his funeral for anything."

"Good. Also, I was wondering If you wanted to meet up and talk for a bit."

Katsuya was unsure about what Jill wanted to talk about. He thought that maybe she was going to blame him for her father's death. After all, he was the one who asked them for help.

"Meet up where?" Katsuya asked.

"The caffe' right by your house. Meet me there in twenty minutes."

"Okay, I'll head right over?"

He then hung up the call and placed his phone back in his pocket.

Katsuya felt freaked out by how Jill had known where his house was. As far as he could remember, he never told Jill his address.

He grabbed a brown coat off of his bed and threw it on. The coat he now wore was the one that Genzo had given to him during his last moments.

As Katsuya walked out of his room, he recalled what Genzo had said to him.

"I know that it'll be putting a lot on your shoulders, but please take care of Jill."

Katsuya walked over to the front door and pulled it open. He walked ourt and replied to the memory of Genzo, even if he could not hear him anymore.

"I'll do my best."

(Honorary Cafe)

It was a small building with a nice brown sign and shiny windows. As Katsuya walked in, he noticed a girl with brown hair who was sitting at one of the tables. Upon walking closer, he noticed that it was Jill. He then sat down on a chair which was across from her.

"So, what did you want to talk about?"

"I was thinking of putting together a team of adventurers. I wanted to know if you would like to join."

Katsuya knew that this could be an opportunity for him to make money. He couldn't do much on his own, but with a team, he could finally be able to clear dungeons.

"I'll join." Katsuya replied.

"There will be around eight adventurers on our team. I was lucky enough to get an S-rank assassin class to join us."

Even though S-rankers weren't the strongest, they were still among the elite. Which meant that adventurer would be a vital character in their dungeon raids.

"Oh, that's cool." said Katsuya.

Jill then realized that he was wearing her dad's coat. She looked as if she was about to cry.

"What's wrong?" Katsuya asked.

A tear ran down her cheek as she wiped it.

"Oh, it's nothing. I'll be going home now."

She then stood up as Katsuya stopped her.

"Wait, I'll walk you home."
