The long await

I looked over to the man that called us on stage and he motioned to say that it was time. Then Dez said, "Okay people, ready for the show to start?"

>YEAH! They all answered.

"Okay then, Sabina whenever your ready."

"3, 2, 1!"

Boom!

And then all we could see was red. It was like the day the bombs fell all over again. I couldn't see anything except red. The bomb was huge and there was no way the Brotherhood wouldn't survive it. No one said anything, not even El, we were just all too scared to say anything. The world ended for a second time, but this time wasn't as depressing. The Brotherhood has been hurting the world for years, but now we got our revenge. We finally won, even though we couldn't the first time, but at least this world now has a chance. We were standing there and looking at the blast for about five minutes straight until finally it got a little clearer. I still couldn't see where the Brotherhood was but I could finally see Dez and El again. El just looked terrified and as if she couldn't stop looking while Dez was standing there with that 'I got my revenge' look on her face. I was still to loud to talk but it started to sound quite, I didn't know if it was in my head or not until I saw the Brotherhood's camp. The whole thing was just destroyed, it looked worse than the rest of the world by ten. Imagine a book falling on your foot and think of that as the rest of the world. Now imagine brick falling on your foot and think of that as the camp. The blast kinda felt like the brick too, I just kept feeling the slightest amount of pain but constantly in the same spot. It took about two more minutes for the camp to appear completely and then the thing I expected to happen, happened.

Woohoo! Everyone started cheering as loud as they could, all celebrating the best victory in history. Both the Brotherhood and The Institute were gone, and now the world can finally have a chance. I just hope that the people in this world will be like the Railroad.

"Is it over?" El asked as the dust started to settle.

"Yes El, we won," I said with a smile on my face.

I pulled out my headset's microphone and started talking to our captain.

"Sir, next stop, home."

"Yes ma'am."

I looked at the wreckage and started thinking about everything that's happened. I knew I got revenge for my father but it still felt like something was out there, something that wanted to hurt everyone. Then I thought about home, and how I now don't have a home, but I had a new family, I had Shawn, and everyone who needed to see a clear future. As we were flying off to the night I realized that this whole time, I went through a story of a lifetime, and that this will be remembered in history.
