18 The Unplanned Semestral Break

"I don't want to go," I said to them in a cold tone that made them look in my direction with a blank expression.

Their faces are telling me a 'If you don't come, your life will be a catastrophe' look. I should have just kept quiet.

"Why? You are part of the club, right?" Professor Smith said to me with an evil smile on her face. She's walking to me slowly.

"Who cares? I don't want to go with you. I will just rest during semestral break," I said in a monotonous voice before rolling my eyes.

"Why don't you want to come? It's going to be fun!" Claire suddenly hung onto my left arm. I looked at her in disgust.

"Do you mean it's going to be a hell?" I said in a sarcastic tone. I heard professor Smith sighed.

"Just let him be. You can talk to him all day but you really can't change his mind," she said before turning her back on us.

"Where are you going?" Coulyne asked her, confused. Professor Jimmy followed professor Smith from behind.

She waved her hand to us without looking back and she said, "I will just buy some food so wait for me here. We're going somewhere after I get back."

She didn't give us a chance to ask her because they already left. We could do nothing but wait for them to return.

"President, I will just check my brother. When they come back here and I'm still gone, please let me know," Claire said before going to her brother's room.

I was right. She's not saying things like that to me anymore. She won't cause problem to me again.

But unfortunately, I was left with Coulyne. I hope nothing bad will happen.

But I think hope really doesn't exist.

"Hey, Raver! I wil-"

She stumbled as she approached me so she did not finish what she was going to say. She fell on me and I lost my balance so my head hit the wall.

"Ugh! That hurts! What just happened?!" Coulyne told herself while holding her head.

I sat up because of the pain of my head hitting the wall. I felt like my soul came out of my body.

What is this girl doing?! Is she an idiot?! We're just next to each other! Who on earth would stumble with that distance?!

"My feet hurts so b—Oh, Raver! I'm sorry! Are you okay?" Coulyne said worriedly. But her face was telling me that she's nervous.

"Okay? Of course, I'm okay! I just hit my head on the wall, it's nothing painful," I replied to her sarcastically.

"Don't worry, I'll just kiss it to make the pain go awa-"

"Shut up. Just behave and don't talk to me until they come back," I interrupted her. I stood up holding my aching head.

A few minutes have passed and I noticed that Coulyne kept on glancing at me. I sighed before looking at her. Our eyes met so she looked away in a hurry.

"What do you want? Spit it out," I asked in a cold tone, looking at her dead in the eyes. She looked at me nervously.

"Uhm, Raver. I-I apologize. Y-You had a small lump on your forehead. Maybe because of w-what happened," she said looking at other direction, stuttering.

I touched my forehead and she was right. I just sighed and took a coin and pressed it on it. That's what I learned when I was a kid.

"Woah! That's amazing! Where did you learn that? Can you tell... me... or maybe not..." Her voice faded when she saw me glaring at her.

After that, she didn't talk to me again, which is a very satistying part of my life.

"We're back. Here. We also brought some food for the three of yo—What happened to the bath of you?" Professor Smith asked with one eyebrow rose up after they came back.

"Nothing," I said in a serious tone. She sighed then proceed on giving us the foods.

"By the way, where did Claire go? Did she go to her brother's room?" Professor Smith asked Coulyne. I then opened the bag of chips and startes eating.

"Yeah. She said that she's just going to check his brot—There she is!"

"I'm back. Sorry for the wai—What is this professor?" Claire asked curiously after professor Smith gave her a bread.

"You shoud eat it. I'm sure you haven't eaten since we came here," she replied to Claire that made her smile.

"Thank you, professor."

After I finished eating the chips, professor Smith still doesn't tell us where we're going. I sighed heavily.

"Hey, old woman. Where are we going after this?" I asked her. She looked at me with her one eyebrow rose up.

She doesn't know what I was talking about, seriously? What is wrong with these people?

"What do you mea—Oh that! The receptionist told me that they're not available right now. So where just going there tomorrow," she answered.

Receptionist? Does she mean the receptionist of the resort they are going to? Ugh. I don't care.

"Are you going to stay here, Claire?" Coulyne asked her. We are now leaving because professor Smith said they have something important to do together with professor Jimmy.

I just ignored my memory of them in the library after they told us that. I don't want to be awkward to them.

"Yeah. I will still watch my brother while my Mom is at work," Claire replied to Coulyne. Kino is still unconscious.

"Claire, will you go with us tomorrow? The meet-up place is still at the university at the same time." Professor Smith asked her. Claire smiled and nodded.

"Yeah. I already tell my Mom about that," Claire then replied. Coulyne hugged her out of excitement.

We said goodbye to her before we left. Professor Jimmy brought her car so we used it back to the university.

"We will leave you here. Be careful on your way! Raver, take care of Coulyne!" Professor Smith said, teasing me. I then rolled my eyes.

"Whatever. Just go," I said with annoyance in my voice. She laughed before professor Jimmy drove the car.

"Is your butler going to fetch you?" I asked to her while we're walking.

"Yeah. Why do you ask? Are you going to be lonely if I left you alon-"

"Shut up. I would be glad not lonely," I said in a monotonous voice. She then laughed becausd of what I said.

This girl is not getting tired ruining my peaceful life.

"Are you really not coming with us? This will be the first trip of the club so it would be nice if every members are there," she said with a smile on her face.

"I don't want to. I'll just waste my time there. I have more important things to do better than that," I answered her in a cold tone.

"You still haven't changed since the first time I have known you. You are still trying to distance yourself from people," she replied to my answer, then she giggled.

"What are you saying? Have we met before?" I asked her curiously.

As far as I can remember, I already asked her this so many times but I'm still confused.

"You should know it yourself. You are the one who can answer that question," she answered then she chuckled.

Ugh. Is she just messing with me? There's no way we have met before. If we really met, I should have known her right after seeing her face that night.

"Goodbye, Raver! Be careful on your way!" Coulyne said before she went inside the limousin.

Mr. Chepper bowed his head again with a smile in his face. I think he's not that strict to guys.

Or is just me?

"What should do first after I get gome? Maybe I will just play some datings sims," I said to myself, smiling.

I haven't played dating simulator for a long time. Am I still good at it? I miss the characters.

"I'm home," I said before taking my shoes off.

I cleaned the house first and I took a bath. I also brought snacks to my room. Now, I can finally have peace.

"That was actually fun! I didn't expect that," I told to myself before turning off my phone.

I slept the whole afternoon and I woke up at 7:00 in the evening. I stood up out of my bed to eat dinner.

My phone suddenly rang so I immediately took it. When I looked at the screen and I saw who's calling, I turned it off.

"Maybe I will just read another light novel," I said and I heard my phond rang again.

I didn't want to open it but I saw the name Claire so I answered it. I sighed heavily before talking.

"Hmm, what do you want from me?" I asked in a cold tone. I suddenly heard Kino's voice through the phone.

Oh, he's awake already. I think he will be okay soon if he will rest for a few more days just like what the doctor said.

"Sorry for the sudden call. Kino really wants to talk to you. Are you free? It will only take for a moment," she explained why she called me.

I sighed before saying, "Fine. Just for a moment."

I heard Claire called for Kino. He shouted out of excitement I can clearly hear it.

"Hello, Kuya Raver?! Is this Kuya Raver?!" He asked excitedly.

"Yeah. What do you want to talk about, little boy?" I asked to him. I tried my best not to sound intimidating.

"I just want to thank you for giving me the doraemon toy! It's cute... And I want to say sorry for shouting at you..." His voice faded.

"It's okay. You should rest now. Give the phone back to your Ate," I replied to him in a relaxing tone.

"Yeah! Thank you again, Kuya Raver!" Kino said before giving the phone back to Claire.

"Hello, Raver? Are you still there?" Claire asked.

"Yeah. Tell your brother to take care of himself," I replied to her. She kept silent for like three seconds before she aswered.

"That's good. You care for other people now, huh?" Claire said, teasing me.

"Shut up. I just don't want to go to hospital again," I said in a cold tone. She then laughed a little.

"Okay, if that's what you want. Goodbye! See you tomorrow!" I said goodbye too before ending the call.

Did I really change? Of course, not. I would never care for other people again. I don't want to feel that kind of thing again.

"Oh, good morning Raver! You came!" Professor Smith approached me after I came to the university.

She's wearing a denim short and partnered with a plain white t-shirt. She's also wearing sunglasses.

This is the first time I have seen her wear these kind of clothes instead of lab coats with long sleeves in it.

Why is she dressed like this?

We are now complete and I was confused because we are using a van instead of professor Jimmy's Lamborghini.

Why do they need the big space for?

"Good morning, Raver! I thought you will not come! This is going to be fun!" Coulyne greeted me. Claire was behind her.

They're both wearing the same kind of clothes professor Smith has.

Coulyne's shirt is colored yellow while Claire's shirt is colored pink like mine. Professor Jimmy on the other hand is wearing blue shirt.

Did they talk about this without telling me? Well, I don't really care.

"We are not going to a resort so why are you dressed like that?" I asked them with my one eyebrow rose up.

They looked at me with their creepy smiles. Slowly, I understood what was the meaning of all of this.

"Don't tell me..." I was about to run away but they held my hands firmly.

"Soldiers! Don't let that man escaped!" Professor Smith ordered Coulyne and Claire.

"Copy, madam!" They responded and gave her a salute.

What in the hell is happening to me?! What the hell are they doing?!

"Yo—Let go of me!" They tied my hands and feet so I couldn't move.

They used a plastic bag to cover my head so that I can't see. I felt like they put me at the back of the van.

"We're sorry but we know that words won't work, so we used force instead," I heard Coulyne's voice. I then heard the sound of the engine starting.

What the hell is this?! Why are they kidnapping me?! This is a crime! Why didn't I think of this?! That's why they were dressed like that!

Curse you, old woman! I don't want to go to a resort with all of you! This is outrageous!
