1 Rebirth

Somewhere on Earth.

"Jin! Jin! Wake up the teacher is coming." A fat slightly black guy said while shaking his sleeping seatmate.

The fat man started to sweat when he saw the devil teacher who is approaching him. So he started to shake him forcefully and even pinch his skin.

However, the fat man's seatmate did not even wake up and the devil teacher already arrived, 'it's over, it's really over.' the fat man thought sadly, he had to call his parents again.

Nicole Rosebud frowned with cross-arms while glancing at the fat man, Bryce, and his seatmate, John.

"John! Why are you sleeping again? Do you want me to call your parents again?!" Nicole said angrily to John. Then she turned her attention to Bryce, "And you, have you forgotten what you promised?! Did you play computer games again with John?"

Bryce did not reply and instead gave a sad smile to Nicole. Meanwhile, John was still sleeping causing laughter among the students making Nicole even angrier.

She shook John but still didn't respond so she couldn't help but angrily twisted his ears to the point it started to flush.

Suddenly, John stood up with a slightly pained and confused expression, "@&#&@&@?!"

Nicole, Bryce, and the students were stunned and surprise. Nicole stared at John and asked, "What are you talking about?"

"@##$%@#$?!" John replied again and felt even more confused seeing their expression full of questions. Suddenly, a huge amount of memories drilled in his mind causing him to flinch.

It took him five minutes to realized that he had reborn! He is no longer in Immortal World but on a planet called Earth. And right now, he possessed the body of John after the original died due to sleep deprivation.

According to his memories, his name is now John McCain, currently a second-year college. While his mother is just an ordinary worker but his father seems to be a vice manager of a certain company.

But this time, he heard a female voice, "John are you okay?"

"Ah-eh, yes, sorry I'm just tired teacher," John said while staring with an awkward smile.

Seeing that John was okay, Nicole didn't bother anymore and started her class. Meanwhile, Bryce who has been watching John suddenly asked, "John, what kind of language did you just speak earlier? I've never heard it."

John glanced at him and knew this is his predecessor's best friend, and his brain started to run to come up with an answer, "It's a very old language which I was learning."

Bryce felt it was nonsense so he wanted to ask again but he saw Nicole's glare which made him stopped.

John felt curious at first because in his past life he was just an orphan and never had a chance to go to school. At the age of ten, he already started licking with blood surviving every kind of dangerous situation which he gradually earned a title called Nightmare.

The reason why he is called Nightmare is simple. It's because he is known for his vengeful and vicious personality. As long as someone tried to mess with him, he will absolutely try his best to fight back and even loves to torture people psychologically and in the end became a Nightmare of many Immortals.

He realized that going to school is really boring and he preferred slaughter than sitting in this classroom while waiting for the class to end.

John frowned when he found out that this planet seems to be so poor that it barely had heaven and earth qi.

What should I do? This planet is really not suitable for cultivation. He felt distressed when he found no solution until a bulb light appeared in his mind.

There should be something like herbs, crystals, or whatever on this planet. The only problem is where can he find the money?

Thinking about this John felt depressed. He doesn't want to rob resources like what he used to do in the future.

After the class ended John knew he had to find a way to earn money. He needs countless money in order to achieve what he wants.

After leaving school he found out that people on Earth seem to live a happy life. You can feel at ease and you don't need to be on guard every second.

John shook his head and his smile seems to be full of vicissitudes that a young man in twenties shouldn't have. Suddenly, he heard a woman scream shouting for help.

In the distance, John saw a lot of people circling while some of them seem to be calling.

After arriving he realized it was actually a car crash, a beautiful woman who seems to be in her 25 or 26 is crying filled with bruises and some scars while next to him is a middle-aged man in his forties which is already covered with blood.

"Please help me! Is there any doctor among you? Please save my dad I'm willing to pay for it." Veronica said while watching the onlookers anxiously but a minute later, despair appeared in her face.

There is no doctor in the onlookers. They instead keep looking at her like an animal zoo but luckily, a kind elder called an ambulance.

Then Veronica was frightened when she saw her father barely breathing anymore. This time, she realized that money couldn't help you all the time.

"Dad, please don't leave me alone," Veronica said crying while holding her father's hand. Her mother already died and now her father is dying.

The onlookers look at the woman with pity and some of them cried. They couldn't do anything at all aside from waiting for the ambulance.

When Veronica thought there is no hope left, a handsome young man in his twenties appeared full of sweat while gasping for breath.

This handsome young man was none other than John. Earlier he took a look at the middle-age-man and he realized it was a great opportunity to earn money but he had to forcefully use a forbidden method.

John stared at the pitiful beautiful woman in front of him and asked, "Miss, I can save your father's life but the question is, do you trust me?"

Veronica was stunned when she heard it, looking at the man in front of him, he is just in his twenties or probably even lower. However, for the sake of her father, she wants to believe even if the man in front of him was just lying.

When John saw her nodding, he didn't hesitate and approaches the middle-aged-man while trying to feel his pulse. He wants to act like an apprentice of a Chinese master of acupuncture but it was just a cover.

After feeling the pulse for a while, he removed the middle-aged man's shirt leaving his upper body naked. Then, he took out four needles and started to put it into the middle-aged man's body.

Veronica and the onlookers felt going crazy, they wonder what the hell is John doing but afraid of making mistake, they kept silent and waited for a miracle.

When John saw that no one was bothering him, he secretly bit his finger a drop his blood into the wound of the middle-aged-man.

"Soul Sacrifice; Heal!"

After casting the forbidden arts, John's pint blood fused into the body of the middle-aged-man. John's blood started to cure the critically damaged parts such as the spinal cord, brain and even managed to cleanse the middle-aged man's heart which was supposed to become the reason for heart attack in the future.

After five minutes, John removed the needles and checked his pulse again to further act like a Chinese acupuncture master. The reason why he did this is that he doesn't want to get investigated and even monitored if he drops his blood immediately. He is still a mortal at all. He just wants people to think that it's all due to acupuncture and nothing else.

Veronica stared at John with hopeful eyes and seeing him sighing in relief she asked, "Can my father be saved?"

John glance at her but before he can reply, he felt extreme piercing pain coming from his soul. His soul was being devoured for the total price cost of the heal, luckily he was just a mortal if not his soul might be swallowed instantly.

John paled and started to cough with blood and replied, "He will wake up in a few minutes."

Veronica was terrified when he saw John coughing with blood and she asked anxiously, "W-what's happening to you?!"

"I'm alright, it's because I forcibly tried to save your father," John replied with an ugly smile then he coughed again and asked, "Miss, can I get my reward?"

Veronica was stunned for a while and quickly glance at his father but then she heard his groan. A smile appeared in her beautiful face and nodded to John. She grabbed her bag beside her and took out a cheque and wrote 2,000,000 and gave it to John.

John grabbed the cheque while coughing with blood again before leaving under the worried eyes of Veronica.

'I wonder if he will be okay.' Veronica thought to herself with complicated emotions. Although she felt that what happened today seems to be magical, however, she knows that her father was already one step to die but that young man saved her father.

She asked herself, was 2 million worth it with the price he paid? If John heard her thoughts he will surely shout it wasn't worth it.

Why? Because John has never seen an Immortal who used forbidden arts to use his soul as an exchange to heal a mortal's body but only himself.
