1 Capture

In a galaxy far away from other planets with more advanced technologies, was a planet called Earth. On this planet, there was a race of beings considered primitive and inferior by many other beings that occupied the planet. This race was known as 'Humans.'

The humans who lived on Earth were known to be less knowledgeable then other humans, for these humans did not know about the existence of other races and beings that lived and travelled throughout their universe. Of course, there were the rare few that believed in 'Aliens,' in life on other planets, but most humans would brush it off, laughingly calling it fantasy and children's tales.

As most humans did not believe in other forms of life, this made them easier targets for nonhuman lifeforms to capture. Of course, perhaps if humans had more advanced technology, they would be able to defend themselves better against capture.

Either way, there is no way of knowing if a young human girl and her family would have been able to avoid capture, even if they had known about nonhumans and had advanced technology.

Now, normally Earth humans are rarely captured, especially more then one at a time. This is because Earth is a protected planet, protected by the Galaxy Enforcers that are assigned to Earth. They are similar to Earth law enforcers, except they come in different races and life forms, and their technology is far superior to that of Earth's human governments.

Usually these Galaxy Enforcers will be able to prevent nonhuman poachers from entering the planet's orbit and kidnapping humans, but there are times when a well planned out attack will distract the Galaxy Enforcers enough where the poachers can sneak in and capture a few humans.

Of course, back during the times when humans had little to no technology, this occurrence was more common. Now that humans have some technology, it is a lot harder for poachers to nab humans. It still happens though, just not as much.

Now, some may wonder, if 'Aliens' or 'Nonhumans' are kidnapping people, how come the public doesn't know yet, especially if this has been going on for thousands of years?

Well, perhaps the Galaxy Enforcers and the human governments know that the humans who discover the truth will panic. Panicking will cause rioting and criminally activity to skyrocket worldwide, with no way to calm the people of earth. To keep the peace that humans have on their planet, the truth is kept secret until humans are ready to know and accept the truth... that there are lifeforms on other planets, and that humans are much weaker than most races with primitive, outdated technology and knowledge.

Now this story is about a young earth human named Tara. Tara was a small human child who was with her family. They had been traveling together, far away from other humans when the nonhuman pirates struck, capturing Tara, her mother, father, and her two older brothers and older sister.

They whisked them away from their planet onto their ship, traveling at lightspeed away from Earth.

Tara and her family had panicked, not understanding what had just happened to them. All they knew was that the beings that had taken them were not human.

The poachers had thrown the whole family into a small cell within their ship, not even bothering to search them for weapons, for earth weapons were more primitive and less dangerous then the weapons the pirates had.

As the whole family huddled together trembling with fear, they had no idea of the horrors that awaited them.

As she huddled within the arms of her sister and mother within the small cell, Tara wondered what was going on. Even her father looked afraid, and he was never afraid... or at least, he had never shown it around her. He was a God fearing man, believing that a man always took care of his family. He was strict, but fair, believing in giving rewards to those that deserved it, and punishing those who did wrong.

Her two older brothers were still trembling, as they gazed around with wide eyes. Her mother and sister were still weeping and sobbing as quietly as they could while they held her, trying to avoid the attention from the beings that had captured them.

Tara herself had tear stains on her cheeks, as she gazed silently around at her family and their surroundings.

She watched as her father placed his hands together to pray for protection against the evil demons that had captured them. A poacher passing by heard her father's prayer. He... or was it an 'it?' ...appeared to have no gender. It laughed at her father. Grabbing the bars of their cell, it leaned forward towards them, it's foul breath evident from the crinkle of her father's nose. With a toothy grin, it spoke to them with butchered english, "God...no! Death near come..." Laughing, it walked away, taking its foul odor away with it, as her father stared horrified at the ghastly being.

"It's teeth..." whimpered one of her brothers. "It had sharp teeth..."

"Are we in Hell? Is God punishing us?!" exclaimed her mother. "What have we done that we would be punished in such a fashion?!"

"Peace, woman! Do not question the will of God," her father rebuked sternly.

'The will of God?' Tara wondered. 'Is this really God's will... to be captured by denomic looking beings?'

Her mother bit her lip, and looked away from her husband. Though she stayed silent, Tara could tell her mother wanted to say more.

"Perhaps... perhaps they are... taking us to heaven?" Questioned Tara's sister hesitantly.

The two brothers and mother stared at her. Even Tara was suprised at her sister's suggestion. Anyone could see that these being were not godly. They were more like demons than anything else.

After a long, awkward pause with no one agreeing with her, Tara's older sister slumped forward with an air of hoplessness and despair surrounding her.

"Come, let us pray," said their father kindly, patting her on the shoulder. "Surely the Lord will provide a way out for us."

And so, the whole family knelt together and prayed, begging God to keep them safe, not knowing of the torment that was soon to befall them.

As time passed, they still prayed. Tara didn't know how long they prayed... she only knew that while they prayed, on of the demons came back.

The door of their cell snapped open, causing the muttering prayers to cease as her whole family jerked their heads towards the sound.

One of the beings walked in with a twisted grin upon his face. Though he looked different from the being from earlier, this one also had razor sharp teeth. It's pale silver gray eyes stared at them hungrily, as it stepped into the small cell.
