7 Chapter 7(Midnight Saga)
..After 14 hours of traveling from the states to China..
Jackson and Kira finally got to China and picked up a cab and headed for Kira's parent home. Few hours still on the road they both began to look really farmished therefore decided to stop by the next store they see.
Some minutes later.....
Kira: Hey,cab man....can you please let us check by at this store to get something to eat ?
Jackson: (Laughs) have you forgotten you are in China ? This man is one of the locals,I'm sure probably doesn't speak or hears English .
Kira:( Irksomely retorted...) What's that supposed to mean? Are you saying we do not understand the English language or that we can't speak ? I'm sure not buying you anything in the store.
Jackson expressed his mind to his darling wife that it was all a joke but maybe the man might truly not understand English. He then signaled to the man to halt the cab
Jackson trying to communicate with the man spoke in the Chinese traditional language ...
Jackson: Qîng dàochē, Yîbiàn wômen zài shāngdiàn mâi dōngxī ( please reverse the car so we can get what to eat).
Kira(puzzled at how fluent her husband sounded in the traditional dialect said....) wow, so you are now fluent with the Chinese traditional dialect? When did you become this good.
Cab man: Hâo de, xìānshēng,wô huì nàyàng zuò ( Okay sir, I will do just that).
Meanwhile Kira was so proud of her husband that she gave him a peck on the cheek but eventually turned out to be a backseat kissing booth....the cab man drove backwards so they could get what to eat . They were entangled so much in just the concluded kissing spree, that they both left the car for the store ......as soon as they were near opening the mart door,the cab man drove off speedily.
Jackson: Hey!!! Goddamit, Robbery in the broad day light ?
Kira: OMG ...all our stuffs are gone !!! We still got the journey ahead of us.
Jackson: So the locals do robbery around here ..God, we are damned and it's getting late already.
(Kira went into the mart and told the lady at the counter to help report a robbery case, but the lady looked uninterested. They both bought what they could buy and left).
For some hours they both stood by the road side looking for other cabs to board, but all was to no success and yet it was getting late so they had to start walking.
Kira: God, we have been walking for some hours and yet can't find a cab to help us continue our journey ...I'm tired already.
Jackson: It's getting dark already, let's walk a little further to find a place to sleep for the night. And hopefully get a cab to continue the journey with in the morning.
Still on the walk....
Jackson took out his phone and put on the flashlight to see through the dark...they kept walking both looking fainting when Jackson looked across the road and saw a light.
Look!!! there is a light across the road, I think it's a house. They hurriedly walked across the bush path feeling so cold as they drew near the light,they were disappointed to see it was a cave filled with sunfly insects.
Jackson: Lovely creatures ,well I guess we found a place to put our heads for the night. It's damn freezing out here.
Kira: I'm sorry, I made the idea of coming to see my mom in the winter period. (Kira took out her phone to make calls when she discovered there was no network service on her device ). I can't get network connection on my phone , do you on yours?
Jackson took out his phone and saw it was same as Kira's.
We might just be doomed ...they both exclaimed.
Some hours later....
They were already heavily asleep cuddling so emotional as to the freezing temperature when Kira suddenly woke up.
Kira: Who is there ? Hello....( she heard a low growling again , now terrified woke Jackson who is still very much interested in sleep up).
Jackson: Let it wait till tomorrow ....
Kira : Wake up, we are not alone ....
Jackson grumbled and wanted to sleep when he heard the growling again.
Jackson: Jesus!!! Is that a lion ?
Kira: I don't know , I'm scared .
They both took out their phones and put on its flashlight pointing it towards the direction the sound came from , both terrified stood up and wanted to run. Just then they saw this huge beast right in front of them... Jackson and Kira cried out as they were attacked and dragged into the cave by the beast. Jacksons phone fell out of his hands and yea the middle of the night became a terror for them both.
