24 Childbirth
[Samantha, can we meet?]
Samantha's hand trembled.
'That familiar number, that usual tone, he is back.'
She was once devastated to the point of giving up on life. She promised not to fall for another man again, but she already fell for Alex, and now, he is back.
She calmed her trembling hands and casually texted:
[I'm sorry, I'm on a date.] before she closed her phone. She wanted to meet with Eric, but she remembered the days when she was still not forgetting Eric. She won't eat, and she won't drink. She only stayed in bed.
She remembered the painful childbirth, yes, the painful childbirth.
*Flashback*
At a bar near her home, Samantha was on the corner, drinking. Her father remarried, her best friend rejected her, and her mother died. Samantha drank so many shots that it was too hard to count then one woman came to her with a "worried expression".
The woman was Jessica. She found Samantha in the bar and went towards her then she said with a worried expression.: "Sis, come on, let's get you home."
Samantha back then was trusting towards Jessica. This was before the incident with the clothes. Jessica supported Samantha but did not head towards their house but to the motel beside them. Jessica laid Samantha on the bed then fed something to her. There was a so-called drug that makes the user forget the past thirty minutes.
Then she got out and made some few calls. She headed towards the home and acted like that never happened while at the motel, Samantha woke up and sleepwalked, but she sleepwalked to the other room. There was a man there looking at his laptop, typing something.
The man had deep blue eyes, and his facial features can almost describe a god. He looked at the drunk Samantha and furrowed his brows before standing up and holding her wrist. Samantha looked at the man and murmured: "Eric."
Then she kissed him wildly. The man was stunned for a few seconds before he deepened the kiss.

Samantha woke up feeling the throbbing headache. She put her hand in her head and tried to remember what happened. She felt light. Samantha opened her eyes and saw that she was covered in a blanket and was naked. She saw blood on the sheet, and she teared up.
She did not find any traces of the man last night, so she decided to give up.
one month later
Samantha was lying in bed and suddenly felt puking, so she rushed to the bathroom and vomited. Samantha knew something was wrong. She went to the nearby drugstore and bought a whole set of pregnancy tests.
Positive!
Positive!
Negative!
Positive!
Samantha felt overwhelmed. She did not know what to do, so she called her best friend, Irene. Irene came, and Samantha told her the story. Irene was very empathetic. She devised a plan and told her parents that Samantha would stay in her apartment indefinitely.
Her parents agreed and told Samantha's parents. They couldn't care any less and agreed quickly. Samantha moved in and spent years with Irene.
