230 A saddle for parades

It takes Ignis just two days to sign a treaty, promise other negotiations for the future and turn the army towards Mavale. It takes him longer to reach here, but he can't abandon his soldiers only to see our son and me. He has to march in the capital as a victor, so he needs to be with the army.

Life as a proclaimed Saint is no different than before, except that the Church has stopped trying to poach me.

They're taking a breath, and I'm going to let them rest as much as they want. I have no reason to go to the Temple, after all. Until Ignis comes, they won't see me again.

Too bad that days fly fast, and the army approaches the capital sooner than planned. I hope Ignis didn't make those people march without rest just to come back earlier. They won a war, for goodness's sake! They earned some rest and an easy walk.

«Your Majesty, the army is at the gates,» I'm told one fine morning. It's sunny outside, and flowers are in full bloom.
