3 AFTERMATH OF A CALAMITY

Four days passed in a blink of an eye.

[Rosewarth Castle's library]

Lord Rosewarth searched every corner of the library to find information about the green lightning but failed. According to the books he found, about 20 years ago, six magicians combined their essence to summon the power of lightning to stop a Rank 9 berserk mutated beast from rampaging. And apart from that, there was no information about lightning ability or someone awakening lightning Bloodline. Dejected, the Lord came out of the library on the sixth day after cleaning up the mess of books he made to avoid others' suspicions.

The maid outside the library was shocked to see Lord Rosewarth's condition, "My Lord... Are you alright? Should I call a Healer?" Black round bags formed around his eyes as he spent all those sleepless nights.

"No... I am fine... Is Lucas awake?" Inquired Lord Rosewarth with a worried face. Even though he had been busy searching for the information on the green lightning, every night, he visited Lucas to check on his condition.

"No, my Lord, little Master is still sleeping," The maid answered with a sullen look.

"The doctor, what about the doctor and the Priest?" Inquired Lord Rosewarth.

"My Lord, both the doctor and the priest said there is nothing wrong with the little Master, he is just sleeping, oh, and the Priest is waiting to see you," The maid answered quickly.

"Haaa, very well," Lord Rosewarth made his way to the second floor, thinking about the prophecy. He was exhausted. The past few days were like an eternity to him. Seeing the Lord, the guard opened the door of the room where his son Lucas was sleeping. Both the doctor and the Priest were present in the room in case of an emergency.

"Thank you both of you for staying and helping my family." Lord Rosewarth thanked the doctor and the priest showing his appreciation for staying with his son.

"No need to thank us, my Lord, if not for your help, this town would have been destroyed a long time ago, and it is our duty as your loyal citizens to help you in your needs," The Priest said calmly.

"That is right, my Lord, it is our duty and, in my clinic, my apprentices will take care of the patients. So no need to worry, we will stay until little Master wakes up," The doctor said with a bleak smile.

Lord Rosewarth sat beside his wife and put his hand on little Lucas's head, "Don't worry, your father will take care of you. Just open your eyes. Your father will never again let anyone hurt you ever again." He said in a sad tone, seeing his son's sleeping face.

"Don't worry, little Lucas is just sleeping, he will wake up soon, and you should get some rest now or you might collapse at this rate... Little Lucas will be scared to see his father's black, round eyes when he wakes up," Lady Evylin said with a little faint smile while lightly caressing her son's head.

"My Lord... The essence inside Lucas's body is settling down rapidly, and this type of situation is unheard of because before the Bloodline awakening ceremony... How in the world is there a presence of essence in his little body? If my estimation is correct, little Master Lucas will wake up within two days..."

"And from what I can see, Master Lucas will be able to utilize essence even before his awakening ceremony... It's just fascinating..."

The doctor said with an astonished face, looking at Lucas's face. He has never witnessed such an abnormal situation in his entire carrier.

"It is better not to reveal this information to outsiders. I don't want my child to be in more danger," The Lord said with a slightly threatening voice, releasing a little bloodlust.

"Rest assured, my Lord, no one will ever hear of this." Both the doctor and the Priest said with a wavering voice. There was a glint of fear in their voice.

[A few hours later]

Kissing his wife's and son's heads, the Lord went out of the room, assigning his most trusted guards around the castle and forbidding the servants and guards to allow any outsiders inside the castle's gate.

[FLASHBACK ....SIX DAYS EARLIER]

The Rosewarth Castle garden

After the heart grasping thunder calamity ended, time started to flow naturally. Everything became normal. No one noticed any change.

"Now the Gods have blessed our little Master, the father must name the child," The priest said in a loud voice, gathering everyone's attention.

"Lucas, his name is Lucas Rosewarth." the words came out of Lord Rosewarth's mouth as if someone possessed his mind. He was still trying to grasp the situation as what happened a moment ago. He looked around, but there was no change in the atmosphere. He quickly looked at the large clock on the wall of the castle. To his surprise, it was still 9 a.m., and not a single second passed between the turbulence of the violent calamity and the ceremony.

"Lucas, from this day onward, with the blessing of our great ancestors, this child will be known as Lucas Rosewarth," The Priest declared loudly.

Hearing the loud voice of the Priest, the Lord came to his senses. "What? Lucas?.... yes, Lucas, he is Lucas but, why did I say Lucas while I decided on another name." Lord Rosewarth questions himself. He was surprised because of a soothing voice of an unknown lady, whispering the name "Lucas" continuously in his ear.

Seeing his son unharmed, Lord Rosewarth sighed in relief. Soon the ceremony ended, and every citizen congratulated their little Master Lucas. Many Noble families who attended the ceremony brought many gifts and treasures. Slowly, people went to their homes with joyous hearts.

[Inside the Rosewarth Castle]

Lord Rosewarth asked the Priest about the unknown calamity. But to his surprise, the Priest didn't see any anomaly. According to the Priest's description, everyone saw a ray of bright light sent by their Hero of Protection.

Soon, Lucas fell asleep, and his breathing became extremely slow. Cold sweat covered his whole body. Everyone fell into panic seeing his condition. Lord Rosewarth summoned the doctor. Both the doctor and the Priest examined Lucas.

Lord Rosewarth consoled his wife, barely holding himself together. After a few hours, the doctor reported that Lucas was sleeping, and after a thorough examination of his body, they found no abnormalities.

"Ohh... That's good news... Really good news," Lord Rosewarth sighed with relief, hearing about his son's condition.

After spending a few hours with his wife and son, Lord Rosewarth left.

The doctor and the Priest were also present in the room. He assigned the guards and put a magic barrier outside the whole castle. Then he went to the library in search of the unheard green lightning.

[PRESENT TIME]

Lucas slowly opened his eyes.

"Arggg, my head hurts so much," Lucas tried to scream, but only the sound of crying came from his mouth.

Everyone was shocked to hear a sudden cry. But, those shocked faces changed into happiness, hearing Lucas's voice. After checking Lucas's conditions one last time, the doctor and the Priest bid their farewell.

At night, Lucas lay between his loving parents. His eyes wandered at the shining moonlight coming from the glass window, "I am still alive... This time, it won't end like before..."
