Towards the Chu Mansion

With the quick approaching of the night, a grey Lamborghini was making its way towards the Chu mansion.

A man in a slim fit suit with his black hair combed up was on the driver's seat. His black sword eyebrows were scrunched up together as he silently threw a glance at the bouquets of flowers on the passenger seat.

His light brown eyes flashed with a hint of annoyance.

Who would have thought that his older brother would make him do such a chore after his work?

Why must he be the one to give flowers to his brother's fiance's daughters?

This was really a ridiculous idea!

He wanted to complain and suggest to his brother to pass this favor to his secretary instead, however, before his voice even sounded, the sweet voice of the woman on the other side of phone exclaimed.

"That would be really the best! I am sure my daughters would appreciate the fact that it is your brother giving them flowers in your name."

'...'

Javier swallowed down the words. He could not say anything and had no choice but to let the woman do what she and his brother wished for.

As a gentleman, Javier could not break the woman's obviously great expectations. He reluctantly said to leave the matters to him.

Now, Javier had no choice but to drive after work towards the Chu mansion, guided by the AI map.

Javier's frown was not erased throughout the whole drive.

He was happy that his brother would finally marry again after Javier's former sister-in-law died because of cancer several years ago. He was really happy for his brother to finally move on and find love even in his later years.

This was why Javier was very supportive and did not ask anything about the woman's background. He at least had some faith in his brother's taste and judgement on people's personalities.

Javier had only seen the woman's picture when his brother bragged to no end about being able to find the most perfect woman who suited him.

And the woman seemed to be quite young. Probably in her early thirties or mid thirties. Javier was not sure.

All he knew was that she was a beautiful woman with three daughters, their surname was Chu, and that she was a widow whose husband had died more than ten years ago.

That was all.

There were many people surnamed Chu in this country. Whether they were influential or not, Javier was ready to accept them, as long as it made his brother happy.

Javer sighed again.

Fine, he needed to smile and meet his brother's new daughters. He was going to be their uncle after all. He should greet them properly.

Javier glanced at the rearview mirror. One bouquet of flower and three big wrapped gifts were lying on the backseat.

Based on the woman's looks, she was seemed to be around in her early thirties. Since she had three daughters, then those daughters might not yet be in their legal age. Even the woman got pregnant early, the eldest might be less than twenty. Then the other two children might be in their teens.

At the last minute, Javier bought three gifts suited for three nieces with the help of his assistant. He made sure that the gifts were in trend for teenagers nowadays. He just wished that his future nieces would like them.

After all, Javier needed to give them a good impression for his brother's harmonious future.

Javier looked at himself in the rearview mirror.

He flashed a smile.

A full set of strong white teeth and thin but full lips were very seductive.

But the smile was awkward and stiff.

Javier shook his head.

'No good, no good.'

He would scare his little nieces with this kind of smile.

He should soften his eyes and smile lightly.

So he tried.

He flashed a smile once more.

'...'

He looked a bit foolish.

Javier shook his head and berated himself. He did not smile often and his employees were usually scared of him because he intimidated them.

He cared about his employees but he never once had a good conversation with them. Whenever he summoned his employees inside the office to compliment them or promote them, they would be shivering in fear.

Javier thought that it was because of the expression on his face, or perhaps due to the aura he exuded naturally.

In any way, he scared people easily.

This time, he was afraid that he would unconsciously do the same thing and scare off his nieces with his intimidating aura or his solemn face.

After exercising his jaw a few more times, he stopped. No matter what kind of smile he did, it still looked as if he was smirking arrogantly.

Sigh.

He would just leave it up to fate. Hopefully, the kids were not skittish crybabies who get easily scared off.

If his nieces did not like him, then so be it. He would just avoid them and shower them gifts with the help of his assistant in the future.

That would work too.
